Pokerstars steve posted only once in the hundreds of threads in 2p2 about this DOJ thing. That post has been around since like 8 hours ago, he hasn't been posting since which is really stupid if they want to reassure ppl since steve is a very popular member of 2p2 and pokerstars official resident rep there.
Probably because he doesn't have much reassuring things to post about and they probably don't have a full grip on the situation yet. They are probably still trying to figure everything out. He certainly doesn't want to post a bunch of false assumptions.

I cashed out on april 15th from UB to instadebit as a canadian resident and the cashout has yet to be processed. I will keep everyone notified of the success or failure. Has any non-us resident had any success with processing withdrawals from UB? Am i likely to get paid?

On the 15th I requested to cashout my BR at PS. Normally I go with an e-check. This time, a check. This morning, on the Pending Cashouts window, the option to cancel the transaction was replaced by the message,
" **These transactions require your attention. Please contact security@pokerstars.com. "
I emailed them about 7 hours ago. Still no response. Is this a standard message for a check cashout?

No. I've cashed out from pokerstars a lot of times through check and have never once seen that message.

I have had this happen before, and given the current circumstances it doesn't surprise me. To my knowledge it isn't standard but definetely not uncommon.

Yeah......I have a feeling they aren't going to respond this time.
I emailed both the .com and the support.eu addresses. I'm just curious about it...

I think you would need a Canadian bank account and therefor proof of residence etc. You'd have to change all your info on FTP.
If you do all that I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to cash out or play, since your account would no longer be subject to American law.
I'm not sure though...

yeah that's the intention - literally moving to canada, using a canadian address+bank, etc. i don't see why it wouldn't work either, but i'm wondering if anyone has read posts about people discussing / trying this, and whether anyone knows that it's confirmed possible or confirmed impossible.
