What is the range of rake per 100 BB in 6 max and headsup?
I am wondering what I must overcome as a player to break even.
Is it more than 1bb/100?
When a player posts 5bb/100 winrate what is that player's true winrate?
Is rake greater bb/100 at low stakes than at high stakes?
Thank you for reading and if you can answer any of my questions ty ty ty |

no idea on most questions
excluding home games, rake is generally proportionally higher at lower limits live and online |

yes rake is higher at lowe stakes big blind wise for obvious reasons |

At micros, I generally pay between 8-11bb/100 for the luxury to play at the worlds largest online poker site.

I just started watching SNL a few weeks ago. I saw some really funny skits and dled all the episodes I could off torrents I found. Which were only like the last season. I have had a lot of trouble finding episodes from like season 3-30. Anyone knowS a place I can watch them or download? Also palin is on snl tomorrow night which should be interesting.

I am sure there are people that can still win at this point. Not many. I know like 1 guy that still beats poker. It will mostly be Russians and Brazilians and similar places that have no future. It probably is all bots now. |

Didn't pluribus beat Linus at 6max in like 2018??? That is 6 friggin' years ago. No one has heard anything from the poker front because there is nothing to be heard. |

poker is still very beatable. just takes more work. US sites are extremely soft (relativistically), sites like ACR have some botting and stuff going on but generally speaking pretty beatable still |

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident. | Last edit: 25/04/2024 16:52 |

That's what a big dog would say to get more deposits on the site. |

Nothing is more frustrating than waiting forever for your winnings. With https://paramigo.bethttps://paramigo.bet, I never have that problem! The payouts are quick, and there are no hidden fees. The sports betting section is solid too, with lots of markets to choose from. Definitely sticking with this site! |

ChatGPT says...
I say wtf am I doing up at 2 am on this site for the first time in 5+ years answering 8 year old questions using chat gpt. But here we are.
Rake in online poker (specifically in **6-max** and **Heads-Up (HU)**) varies significantly depending on the site, stakes, and structure. Here’s a breakdown of what you’re up against:
### **Rake per 100 BB (bb/100) in 6-Max and Heads-Up**
- **6-Max * Typically **4–12 bb/100**, depending on stakes and site.
- **Heads-Up * Can be even higher, often **7–15 bb/100**, as hands play out more often and fewer players contribute.
Yes, you usually have to overcome more than **1 bb/100** in rake just to break even. At low stakes, it can be brutal—often **8–12 bb/100** at microstakes (NL2–NL25). High stakes (NL200+) tend to have lower rake as a percentage of the pot.
### **Impact on a Player’s True Winrate**
If a player posts a **5 bb/100** winrate, their actual (pre-rake) winrate is:
[
text{True winrate} = 5 text{ bb/100} + text{rake paid per 100}
]
So, if rake is **8 bb/100**, the player is actually winning **13 bb/100** before rake.
### **Is Rake Higher in BB/100 at Low Stakes?**
Yes. At **low stakes (NL2–NL25)**, rake as a percentage of the pot is much higher because:
1. Rake caps are lower (so a bigger portion of the pot gets taken).
2. More multi-way pots lead to more rake.
3. Lower rakeback opportunities for microstakes players.
At **high stakes (NL200+),** rake per 100 hands is often much lower in **bb/100** because:
- Rake is capped at a lower percentage of large pots.
- More aggressive preflop play reduces the number of pots that reach a high rake threshold.
- Rakeback and rewards help offset costs.
So, **low stakes are the hardest hit by rake**—often requiring you to beat **8-12 bb/100** in rake just to break even. |
