It says that online gaming generates about 4 billion in revenue a year for the companies(stars ftp etc.), and that if regulated it could generate 2 billion in tax revenue for the government.

they probably want 50/50 from poker sites then, expect rake to be as much or even more than pokerstars.fr since i doubt sites would want to take the extra hit on this. The thing is, if it's legal, its going to be very expensive for us as well.

I hope I'm misunderstanding this, but they plan to generate 2 billion a year from an industry that generates 4 billion a year? seriously?

I think you are forgetting that they are also assuming the ability to tax any revenue from US players on the sites. That's how they get the 2 billion from a 4 billion industry.

dont tap the glass...im about ready to take a fucking hammer to the aquarium

More sites are going down, this will probably be the end of Merge and other sites still accepting american players, i have never been an alarmist as i was the one saying to keep your cool on PS/FTP, but if i were you id take my money out of these site (included hero poker) ASAP, i dont think they will respect your bankrolls

I think that fulltilt and pokerstars are done for good in America because there name has kind of been ruined and if not they are gonna be tied up in court for years. I found a legit site selling good quality merch to help the cause and work towards bringing online poker back. Check it out.

mod removed site

Good quality and prices.
