Really? Because I and every other US player it seems can't join real money tables. Try to figure out that missing variable that is allowing you to.

maybe something with your IP?

I don't think the games will be softer. Not sure why anyone would think that. USA has the highest proportion of regulars sure... but it also has the highest proportion of fish and bad players by far. If anything the games will get tougher once all the regulars from other countries feel comfortable grinding again in about a week.

Hey it's thewh00sel but i can't access my LP account for some reason. Anyways I have a question that other people haven't been asking about this.

About a week and a half ago i deposited a 2500$ pokerstars check @ wells fargo. Two days ago the money was taken back out of my account and charged me a fee or w/e. I also have 2 checks coming in the mail from a week ago and a wire cashout coming in from pokerstars. If that 2500 was taken back out before any of this went public, then i would not suggest that ANYONE deposit money into your account as it will likely be taken right back out and u'll be charged a bounced check fee or whatever.

So I'm pretty sure that any 'approved' cashout on PS are going to be taken back and a waste of time. fwiw this also happened to two other friends of mine who deposited checks and the money was taken back. Have any of you have had similar experiences?

So a question that I like to see answered very much.

I dont have a lot of money on the side, should I cash out a substantial part of my br just to be on the safe side? I will deposit this in my Neteller account, which I dont feel 100% safe about but maybe i'm wrong about this.

Thoughts please?

lmao this is so fucked, i mean they are charging Isai Scheinberg with 30 years of prison, and the guy who is ratting him out is facing 75 years unless he fully cooperates ..which he will.

Welcome to the end people. So much for 'relaxing' over this, im eating my own words

Neteller and moneybookers have nothing to do with US transactions therefore they can be considered safe imo. US player sites aren't really safe right now obv. Imo safest priority is probably your bank > non US ewallets > non US skins > US pokersites > US ewallets.

Fairly entertaining stream fyi.

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhANLast edit: 16/04/2011 14:29

Yes I am still playing right now lol. The only possible unique scenario here is the fact that I never close the FTP client until they force a software update. So it's been running for a week straight on my pc and I havent logged off yet. Perhaps if I reconnect suddenly I'll be banned.

I think now that FTP and Pokerstars have had to take themselves out of the U.S. market it's going to open the door for a new site. Similar to how when drug dealers get busted someone new steps up to take their place. Hopefully a fully regulated and legal site can come into existence. It for sure opens the door for guys like Wynn to do it on their own and bring their business credentials in brick and mortar casinos to the table.

+1, thanks,
cashed out most of my roll on fulltilt, half on stars(not huge amounts of money though), somehow have more trust in pokerstars.
probably not required, but why risk it, redeposit should be easy.

Now just hoping my money arrives

Good thing UFC doesn't like poker sites.

It will probably be a good thing in the very very long term. If any local state business decides to enter a legalized US gambling market there will be all sorts of lame stipulations, like only allowing US residents to play, only allows local state residents to play, massive rake, etc etc etc. They'll cripple the system through greed before the industry relaxes and it begins to resemble something more like poker today (er yesterday). The shit simply needs to be legalized. Any entrepreneur worth a damn see's the potential windfall profits of the poker industry, so obviously there are dozens of well financed profit motivated people looking at all the options to get business rolling.

Gambling/Casino's are legal in like half the states of the US, so clearly it's not some moral agenda. The gov't wants to tax it and the casino's dont want it to impede on their business. But they're stupid to think running a B&M casino is going to be more profitable than running strictly online or a combination of the two. It might take some time, but it'll eventually get legalized and new American upstart companies will create it, or perhaps stars/FTP will be allowed to jump back in the market. There's already been debate that since those 2 companies own a virtual monopoly on the field that American companies will lobby to have them banned for life for breaking the law, to give themselves a chance to start up.

Whatever happens, hopefully the B&M's and home game circuits will see a surge in new traffic. I'm not really rolled for NL200 but fuck it, wouldnt mind getting back out there anyway.

bye now
