Wow I couda written this. I also quitted medicine studies to live on poker ; I also had huge fights w my fatha bcuz of that ; I also went busto a few times at 25/50 . I didnt won a 1k$ mtt tho Im glad things worked out well for you GL ; Don't tilt too much baby

I'm like you in a way but to a lesser extent and without the same level of sickness. I don't participate in hand discussions too much, I can't tell you if a certain play is +ev..but if I'm sitting at the table and can feel the game flow, I can make a good judgment call.

I dont have a problem tilting when im overolled for 5/10 because @ this level you make enough money to pay for alot of things, and I have plenty of buyins for 5/10 and 10/20 so I dont see myself going broke... its different when u got only 20 buyins.. the only thing that could hurt me is taking shots on higher levels but I only do so with winnings.. im just happy i have a roll to work with for a lag style. I always wanted to play 5/10+ full time and finally I have enough roll to do that so poker wise I am content with the level I am playing for now as I have reached my goal.

Nah not really I made quick 10k on 5/10 hu and thought id play some 50/100 and see if i can finish the day with a big score and it worked out... most people wouldnt do this I guess.

Well from the sound of it, you didn't seem to be happy from playing only 5/10 by saying "Ill either be broke or playing super high stakes" so I thought you were on a quest to play super high stakes on ur almost inexistant bankroll management described in this blog post... but it's good to see that you are satisfied making good money right now at those stakes and taking some shots but nothing as crazy as before, good stuff

Hey F4zi, if i had the opportunity to become a doctor and my parents would pay for it, heck i'd have been a doctor today no doubt. You could have made like 150-250k a year, which is much more money that you'll ever make from poker except if you're a very talented player (i do think you are) AND very very lucky to score big in live events multiple time.

Doctors make that much money because it takes alot of hard work and it's a super stressful job once you're finished school. I know of some doctors who make closer to 1/2 a mil but they work 12 hours a day and are on call the other 12.

my parents paid for my skool before univesity.. trying to set me up basically.. university in the uk is couple k a year.. and u get a loan to pay for it.. which u pay back once u have an income. i still got into medicine which is the toughest course to get into and im pretty certain i have marks to get into any course i want to do next yr.

it is possible to have a salary of $150-250k a year pre-tax about 7 yrs into ure job + 6 yrs of studying so basically age 31+ for the UK..
my plan is to do a 3 yr science degree and get a job in the city after in a bank or be a stock broker.

i think i was due in tourneys, im a pretty decent tourney player actually just dont play enough.
