Worst Downswing?

Im currently on my worst downswing, extremely frustrating.

Just curious what your worst downswing was, how you dealt with it, and what you learned from it.

i dont cacre much tho cause ill get it back
just need to be patient

im downswongin now, not fun..

i'm not usually affected by bad beats but lately they're annoying the hell out of me.

Largest amount: 20k Largest percent of bankroll: probably 20 percent.

150k hand downswing. started off with bad beats / coolers after a big heater, so it was such a sudden reversal that it was tilting. Tilted for a bit then broke even forever after getting my shit together.

Learned to be more patient and drop down limits sooner. Also that you gotta keep balance in your life so that if you hit a downswing you don't feel like committing suicide. If you have a balanced life a downswing is just 1 area of your life, while friends/family/other work/hobbies keep you happy despite the shitty poker time.

buyin wise i lost 100 bis at 5/10 not too long ago over a week - wasnt fishing too much either

i've literally lost the last 12 flips in a row in which i was ahead pf. once i had ak and i went all in, one guy had aq and the other one had a7. they both hit their only out on the flop.

Also, on the first hand of the day, i was playing 3handed getting a table going, i had pocket tens, flop was ATK, i bet pot, turn is a K, i shove, he calls and flips over AT, river is a third K and i lose KKKAA over KKKTT...

And then, i flop nut str8, shove turn and get two callers, one with tptk, the other with 2 pair 9's and 2's, river is a 2.

thats been my life. it's even gone into my real life. stuff ain't going good here.

seriously, when they shove w/ a draw, they hit. when i'm ahead and get it in, they come back. when i they are shortstacked and i have them dominated like my KQ vs Q5, they will hit a 5. and if i'm ahead like AJ vs KQ, they WILL hit a KQ!!! soooo annoying. I'm just waiting it out and NOT going to a casino!!!

i had a 30 buyin downswing in august of 2006, a month after i first moved up to 5/10. lost half my roll. i was too nitty when i first moved up and prob wasnt good enough to beat 5/10 at that point.

i had a 30 buyin downswing about 18 months ago playing 25/50 plo and nl, most of it was standard plomahahaha and the fact that i wasnt that good at it back then.

had prob around a 25 buyin downswing last august playing 3/6 5/10 10/20 some 25/50, was around 40k including tourneys cant really tell how much it was buyinwise but i suspect around 25 buyins

since then i dont think ive had a 20 buyin downswing over prob about 500k hands. ive been playing much better games, playing lower and im also a lot better. i dont mind grinding 2/4 now because my hourly is pretty good, theres virtually no variance because im a big winner and its totally stressfree.

i'm going to fucking murder anyone who complains about downswings that are less than 50k hands and less than 20 buyins at LEAST

I know peachy's is insane and all b/c "zomg 1 mirrion!!", but most of it was at nosebleed stakes PLO (unless i'm mistaken). I think PU losing 100 bi's in a week is by far the sickest, especially considering it was at a limit he crushes.

had many days where i go -5bi then break even and by many i mean like 25days++ not in a row tho and im STILL not used to having such swings in 1k 1.5k hands this is just ridiculous imo

There was a LP guy who made it to like 10k on Partypoker playing NL 200, then blackjack introduced. He lost a couple of dollars (like 100 or something) and ended up chasing his losses so he could hit 10k again. Instead he lost everything through black jack.
