Best case scenario for the USA is to finish 3rd in that group. The way the WC is organized overall makes me want to hate the whole event, so much money dumped in so many retarded ways, country that hosts it always suffers and a few people get their pockets full. Good luck justifying 12 billion+ worth of investments half of which will never be used again in a country where absolute poverty is one of the highest in the civilized world

Brasil is actually a country where the big investments (stadiums) will actually get used.

If you were talking about Qatar.. well.. you'd have a point.

Strongest groups are B and D because it has 3 strong teams in it. USA's group is a bit behind that so it's not the group of death.

I really dont think that was just a mistake, I think it was an act of bribery, if FIFA is involved or not its hard to say, it could have been direct bribery for th ereferee.

As Ive said many times football has the most ridiculous refereeing in all sports, its cartoonish like pro-wrestling, a guy can single handedly decide the outcome of a match where hundreds of millions are involved and then people wonder why is there corruption... well because the whole fucking thing is set up to be corrupted

yeah man, its a conspiracy! direct bribery by the illuminati!

the politicians 100% bought all referees, bet your rolls on Brazil now and thank me later

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

I've got ARG/BIH and BEL/RUS to go through groups.
Colombia looked good, I was pleasantly surprised by Ivory Coast.
Shocked at Uruguay melt down, not so shocked about Spain losing though. Scoreline was obviously a surprise.

I think BIH at 7.5-1 is a decent bet. Even a draw at 4.8-1 seems OK vs ARG. Last outing vs ARG was in Nov 2013 where they lost 2-0 but I do believe BIH can pull off an upset if need be..

France, Brazil and Belgium to win their next games as accumulator I'm getting 2.5-1 which seems v.good atm.

From everything I've read about the sport, corruption is rampant within it. From bribing international officials to get games hosted at certain places, to outright fixing of exhibition games and officials (this was in 2010).

I think it would be extremely naive to completely deny claims that officials may possibly be being bought - especially in a country like Brazil, where corruption apparently flourishes.

You mean like the stadium that even has no roads near it so they had to bring the materials to build it by a river?
Think they build around 11 new stadiums 3-4 of which will never be used again. Don't you think its suspicious that there were riots cause the WC is held there especially in BRAZIL ?

Qatar on the other hand is w/e investment they probably make that much a month

Wow watched every game live or shortly afterwards on recording since WC started... so much soccer in my brain at the moment..some thoughts.

LOLLL SPAIN. ez bet the dutch for the ez monies...they are so underrated all the time but people forget they are the inventors of "total soccer" philosophy which we see is prevalent in every high level team today. I remember watching Van Persie 6 years ago on arsenal and thinking "man if this guy can stay healthy he'll be a top top class striker if not the best" And Robben is just a monster. I have a huge hardon for Robben.

Mexico almost got fucked royally. Glad justice was served there. I woulda been heartbroken for the mexicans if they lost because of 2 wrongfully disallowed goals. Mexicans have a solid team no doubt. But doubtful they can really make any noise past ro16. But who knows. This is the world cup. Crazy shit happens.

Ivory coast is unreal stacked but they seem to have a lot of trouble in the rain...Yaya toure is the best central midfielder in the world imo. And the rain was really impeding his ability to control the ball as he usually does. Seems like bigger players have traction issues which may come into play since most of brazil is a rainforest. DROGBA FIGHTING. hopefully he'll start some games and not be a supersub...the Drogba substitution was what the ivorians really needed to get back into the game. Jealous of how good Japan is playing nowadays...on both ends of the field looking quite sharp! Unlike fucking south korea where huge defensive flaws will be our downfall ;(

LOL English choke part 14...nuff said. They looked really good italy just played better. And I fucking hate Italy. Unreal scummy team. If Balotelli can keep it together and not do the usual shitshow that he is. He can become a real monster on the international and club scene for sure. He's a special talent.

Uruguay seems very flat and one dimensional without the best playmaker in the world: Suarez to just gel that team together. Damn shame he's out injured and look questionable for future matches.

Argentina looks really disappointing as well..sure they have the best player in the world and whatnot but without that lucky owngoal. and Messi magic they would have lost/tied that game at best...They are flat footed on the offense and maserano in the middle didn't do jackshit vs Bosnia's bundesliga midfielders...

The French seemed to have been forgotten since their meltdown last world cup...they are still a quality team although their match vs honduras today was a bit flattering since the quality gap is so great.

After watching the recent US national team matches I'm pretty hopeful about US chances of getting out. Sure they are dogs but I would say small dogs...A solid defense will go a long way into beating even elite teams. FUNDAMENTALS GUISE. FUNDAMENTALS.

Although not feeling that good about South Korea's chances for that exact reason ;(
