Whole game was a parody, first half had about 32 fouls, not a single card, althought about 8 of them were made by a Columbian guy, not to mention that James Rodriguez and Neymar were on the grass roughly every ~2mins - and thats only first half. There was so much unnecessary shit the 2nd half, the yellow card by Silva, the foul that injured Neymar, the foul that led to the penalty - also Julio Cesar should've been instantly given the red card, not a yellow one, there s not a single normal referee that gives yellow card there, except if they had done that Brazil wouldve 100000% lost, 10 players - no substitutions left and no real GK vs massive columbian invasion. I was somewhat cheering for Brasil before this game, but i really hope Germany just runs them over on the semi final. Shouldn't be too hard w/o Neymar & Silva there
I think the yellow card was fine here. I'm probably biased but yea, I that's how I remember it. I couldn't find a replay to watch now and maybe review my opinion on it though. the way I remember it, even though he was close to the goal, Luiz was about to take the ball out so it was no "clear goal chance" which rules out the red - IMO.
agree with raidern that yellow seemed fine on julio cesar play as it wasn't a clear scoring spot
Dante should be a very reasonable sub for Silva and Neymar played pretty poorly past 2 games and we were ok so i dont think we drawing dead - in sporting bets its about even so far which seems about right - will be interesting to see the effect of no neymar in the team
What are you guys talking about, GK was last defense and didnt even play for the ball, nothing else matters, if you do this as the last obstacle for the goal its a red card :
maybe its arguable if he d score, but GK still doesn't even play for the ball - his only goal was to drop the forward down
