In fairness, you could say "Germany is a better team on paper" meaning that they would crush the US if it were a normal game. But its not really a normal game, all they need is a draw to win the group. The line is at -144 for Germany which is hardly an expectation of rape.

I'm taking Chile at 5.7:1 to win vs Brazil. I mean what the fuck? I don't see Chile being such an underdog here. Brazil is still overrated imo. By defeating Cameroon they still haven't proven much. They didn't seem dominant over Mexico. Croatia was a weird one. Giving them such a big advantage is strange. Chile work their fucking nuts off and Brazil has looked somewhat complacent and reliant on a certain few at times.

Germany > USA - Sorry to say, I think Germany will win this. I think Klinsmann will go out with a similar 4-5-1 as he did vs Portugal. Germany worried me vs Ghana slightly. USA suits them better style wise. USA cant keep possession to save their life, Germany are very comfortable with possession. Germany has multiple threats that USA have to deal with, wasn't the case vs Portugal. Germany on the other hand looked disorganized in defence in their last outing which is very rare.

Colombia / Uruguay (2.2 - 3.4)Going to keep my eye on Uruguay vs Colombia line. If Suarez gets banned for his fucking antics, it's going to cost the team a lot. Then I see Colombia as clear favourites but if Suarez is able to play, I think a bet on Uruguay seems better.

Algeria / RUS (3.4 - 2.1) Draw seems most likely here at 3.5 seems like an OK bet too. I bet 1X at 1.75.

The USA Germany game seems like a fine spot to bet the draw. We do have 2 offensive minded teams but the risk reward is too much to play open...additionally Germany will win the group on a tie...the rewards just aren't there for a offensive stance to the game.

Betting against a world cup holder ( Brazil ) which has traditions in the game before the 1/2 finals is so bad. It's not that they ll 100% reach it, but referees will 1000000% judge in their favor. It happens every World Cup, they even managed to make South Korea reach 4th place when they held the cup. No conspiracy or implying the tournament is corrupt, it just happens every time.

Raidern Only Germany can imo, might be too over hyped on them, but they re much stronger than anyone else in the tournament. The supposed favourites Brazil and Argentina haven't impressed with their play so far. Just cause they made a draw with Ghana doesn't mean much, Ghana's team is really strong most of the players are young and play in England/Spain/Italy in top teams

Pretty much this. All the whining from chilean players/coach about game with Netherlands is more about trying to get the referee to not favor Brazil too much rather than actually complain.

plus whenever Chile has qualified further than group stages in a World Cup it has lost to Brazil since fucking 1962 (Chile 1962 semis, one time can't remember, France 1998 RND16, 2010 South Africa RND16). It's like the little brother that got beat up, got bigger but still can't fight back.

The only way Chile can win this is trough a solid victory in a way that referee/public/god himself cannot help em trough (something like 3-0 lead). The odds of this are very unlikely.

Also Argentina and Belgium suck and I hate them for getting an almost free pass to semis. They will get decimated if they play any quality team.
