Seemed pretty clear to me that Walt made that confession because he knew the cops were listening and he was pretty much admitting guilt and clearing Skyler and co of any wrong doing at all which seems to fit in with Walts character. Skyler even seemed to recognize it herself and changes her tone halfway into the phone call.
Also why he lies and takes credit for the Hank killing. Getting the nazi's off the hook so his family isn't a liability towards them.
That's why he's crying and so tore up. He knows this will make Walt Jr. hate him and ends any chance of ever being with his family again. He's permanently on the run now, but he protected his family.
Death scene was just to drawn out for me. I was so indifferent when hank got capped.
I'm kind of weird when it comes to this show though. I root for Walt and dislike Jesse which goes against the grain apparently. |

do you guys remember the teddy bear that fell from the airplane crash? it was missing 1 eye. basically walt's destruction knows no bounds.
also, gonna sound awful, but i'm so glad hank died, because his wife's ego/power trip making skylar do w/e she asked was completely reversed back onto her.
also weird that they made her character's name skylar. |

i didnt think skyler needed to be protected. aside from the tape he made and anything jesse said to hank/gomie/marie theres no evidence whatsoever about him cooking meth. and absolutely none linking skyler. not to mention he talks about things he doesnt need to talk about like hank being dead. no reason to confess to that. just seemed like it wasnt a necessary conversation to have, i didnt think she needed to be exonerated from anything |

100%. Walt would never hurt Skyler or Jr. That phone call was brilliant.
This episode was much better than the last one. So many OH MY DAYUM moments and the story moved along so fucking fast but without the feeling of it being rushed. Only two episodes left and we have no idea why Walt has an arsenal in his trunk. My guess it to maybe save Jesse from Uncle Jack? |

I don't think I've read anything on the internet about this show apart from skimming this thread here and there up until very recently - it didn't even cross my mind that there are people out there who would root against Walt. Like, literally, it didn't even cross my mind. Maybe I'm a psychopath... |

what about laundring millions in the car-wash... Skyle was in deep shit and now Walt has given her all that she needs to claim innocence |

Thought its kinda obv what Stim_Abuser said ... Walt cried during the phonecall realizing his family is done, Junior will always hate him, taking Holly with him is also brilliant. Also cmon... he started the convo with " Are you alone? Did you call the police? " after seeing his son call it in front of him .... he basically said "I know the police is there but i dont really care" |

I think it's the fact Hank & Gomey are dead so the DEA is going to be all over that case. They died while working on a case to bust Walt for Heisenberg. Their last known contact is Hank telling Marie he's arresting Walt.
So the DEA is obviously gonna go full blast on Walt now because of Hank and Gomey missing/dead and doing so while working on Heisenberg. Plus the testimony of Jesse that's on tape about Walt.
They could probably arrest Skyler on aiding and abetting with that alone. Plus who knows what other criminal charges.
Even if they couldn't bring her to criminal charges, her being a suspect as part of it would be hell for the family. |

During the knife fight scene, for a minute there when they were both on the floor, with the knife sticking upward, it kinda looked like their son was gonna jump in, interfere and stab himself on the knife. But I guess that'd be a little too predictable and boring.
