this is pretty clever and worthwhile. you don't need tableninja to execute this, just make bets ending in .99. if you open to something ending in .99, successive callers will drop the last two digits to .98, .97, so on and so forth. if someone 3bets, hope they 3bet using whole dollars.

assume all players are "normal" & will only bet integer numbers or call -- if you make a bet ending in 99 cents, the pot will end up as .99 and the winner of the pot will save 5 cents. there's probably a small window of stakes where this is super valuable. at .01/.02 ppl arent only going to be betting whole dollars obv. at 5/10 saving 5c on a pot isn't going to affect your winrate much.

but lets say you're playing .5/1 6max. PTR says you pay $6.91/100 hands in rake. i grabbed a random sample of hands off HEM, a 20/16 player saw the flop 9.5% of the time and w$wsf 44.3%, or won raked pots ~4.2% of the time. this would save you 21c/100 hands which can be thought of as 3% rakeback or .2 bb/100.

note that this number is on the high side, since it includes times someone opens, you call they check to you and you bet flop & win, etc.

this is craziness. sizing your preflop raises due to pennies in rake...

why not size your preflop raises to manipulate opponents? imo, 1 pot that's 16 or whatever big blinds bigger/smaller (in your favor) than it should have been is much more important than 1bb in rake for many pots.
