About the "why would it be beneficial for their total world domination" - because in order for the Gov to take more control of civil liberties, they need a crisis to bring in the military and then it's Iraq#2. They can blame any incident on Iran and say "let's attack them now". If there is no major crisis, you can't do these two things. They whole game is "hey there is someone out there that wants you dead, but if you give us all your rights we will protect you." It's like asking for a political proof that ducks quack. There is no scientific literature about the Illuminati, ok? Researchers research and write books.
