(at least for me)
play your A-game and minimize spew in order to maximize winnings.
i can't even tell you how many dollars i just spew like a god damn retard doing shit like surfing web, watching tv, facebook, MULTITABLING LOL!
it always leads to a grueling fucking grind back up. i guess i did this 1 too many times. i'm swearing on my life to never ever ever ever ever half ass poker like the way i have been doing

i used to play 10+
now i focus on 4-6, occasionally 8
but playing without at least 80% focus might as well count as multi-tabling no? |

i try to change my normal-tilt into a nit-tilt sometimes, just waiting for JJ+,AK, but this is a lot easier on (4) rush tables |

Something that helps me stay focused is working on my game, trying to improve and taking notes. If i'm not thinking actively about table dynamics and how to play depending on who my opponents are, I just get too bored to focus.
If i don't have any material that I'm reading, watching or listening to that helps me improve my game, I can't play my A-game. Unless i'm extra focused for some other reason, like moving up limits, changing sites, haven't played for a couple of days etc. |

my biggest leak is this too, watching to much movies/too good music (cause 0% focus on the actual tables and to much air drumming/airguitar) while grinding xxx million tables
too laazy lately |

Hmmn, play your A-game and don't throw away money you say. Hafta try that, doesn't sound logical at all. |

Heh I was on AIM last night talking to like 4 people while playing 18 tables. Then I realized I was down ~5 buy ins and told everyone "gtg gotta grind all of this money back" and played my A-game for the next 2 hours grinding back my losses.
Next time I'm just gonna avoid AIM in the first place and skip the losing 5 buy ins part. |

Yeah, it is obvious, but this is one of those things that I knew for a long time but it's first a few days ago when I really started saying it to myself that I have actually made much about it. 'cause it's not like you try to do the opposite ever, but quite often you forget to just focus on the hand in question and not care about the results prior to that. Also, surfing ze webs and shits doe indeed make you (well, me atleast) spew tons more. |
