Breakfast with Fedor was actually pretty entertaining in a nostalgic way. It was very pride-like with all the good and bad aspects. Ten minute rounds, ropes, ambiguous weight-classes, bad match-making, but superb production quality. I think Rizin is good enough that I'll be sucked in to future Fedor fights (especially if he fights someone good) but that's about it.

Road FC hosting a winner-take-all tournament with a 840,000$ first place prize (1billion KRW). Pretty badass.

Just a rumor until the UFC confirms it.

Also, it's a rumor because these 2 fights are the most likely to happen. If you saw Conor during his last fight against Aldo, he looked thin on fight-day, which was due to the IV ban. His coach said afterward that he doesn't want Conor to try and make 145 ever again.

Regarding Tate, she was supposed to fight Ronda instead of Holm, but the UFC fucked her over. Since Tate is the clear #1 contender after Ronda, Tate vs. Holm makes sense. Also, Ronda has 2 movies to film, and all KOs come with a 90-day suspension from fighting (and I think training, too), so Ronda won't be ready for awhile, especially since Ronda said herself that she will retire if she loses to Holm in the rematch.

I really wonder how that's monitored / how seriously fighters treat it (contact training following a concussion).

You might be right. I don't usually follow all of the suspensions that are given out after fights, I just know the standard 90-day suspension.

Rumor is if Conor does beat RDA, he will vacate 145 and just become the 155 champ.
But if he loses to RDA, he will defend against Frankie.
So both ways, ufc has a conor title fight for UFC 200

I'd rather see RDA vs Connor than RDA vs anyone else in that division except Khabib, who wont be given a title shot before he fights someone else.
Where do you guys read MMA news/rumours btw as the ufc site seems the last to publish anything. And what are the rumours about JBJ regarding return and division LHW or HW ( seen the 1 hour long interview but that was 3 months ago )

I read MMA underground forum, and MMAjunkie

and i agree with you. Actually i rather watch conor over anyone else in the UFC at this point, and its not even close.

Conor's fights are way too short though, I'd like to see him tested by RDA. Edgar is another midget who will get kicked for days. The only guys I think can make an exciting match vs COnor now is RDA and the Cucuy guy.

Idk man this is hard to say. I'm a big fan of both guys.

In favor of conor:
His standup is just outstanding. I am pretty sure he would own RDA standing.
He is 5 years younger.
4 inch reach advantage.

In favor of RDA:
Mendes has shown its very possible to take down Conor, and Conor didn't seem that good on the ground. Its hard to believe RDA won't be able to take down conor, and when it does happen, its hard to believe Conor won't take serious damage.

Nick Diaz To Have His Suspension Lifted And Fight In 2016? +1000 at betfair

What do you think of that?

Stim_Abuser   United States. Jan 09 2016 23:30. Posts 7499

Conors stand up is definitely great, but I'm not ready to say he'd own RDA standing. RDA who absolutely fucking mauled Pettis, Bendo, and Cowboy standing. I mean completely destroyed them brutally. Outside of the Aldo fight which didn't show us a whole lot, Conor hasn't faced guys even remotely on their level striking. I think people are way too clouted from his KO over an emotional, wreckless Aldo who charged at him with the stupidest combo he could of thrown and leading with his chin in 13 seconds.

Also this is the first time Conor won't have a huge size advantage. Aside from that the grappling edge here is just insane.

Don't get me wrong Conor is a beast of a striker and could KO Dos Anjos. But to me that's his only route to victory. I can't see him stuffing the takedowns and just boxing up RDA for 5 rounds.

RDA is one of the very best fighters right now. He does everything so well. He's great at absolutely everything. He attacks the head, body, and legs brilliantly, mixes everything up brilliantly, he has a great clinch, his top game is amazing, his cardio and chin are super elite. He's pretty close to a perfect fighter these days. I got him at #2 or #3 p4p skill wise.

RDA is very aggresive and is leaving openings coming in. Conor will KO him stiff if they keep it standing, imo.

However he was able to takedown Pettis without much trouble and Pettis has really improved TDD. Also his BJJ and top game is miles better than Mendes, so in short - this fight is amazing.

Also, RDA is a southpaw as well so the low kicks will be there all day with Conors wide stance.

I feel RDA is overrated, he didnt destroy Pettis, he pushed forward and pressured non-stop, which is the way you fight a guy like Pettis who needs time and space to work, but RDAs striking is still pretty sloppy, Connor is somewhat alike Pettis, he needs his space and time but he is a much better counterstriker and he might catch RDA rushing in, but he might not be able to do it and lose the same way Pettis did.

and no it isnt remotely the most ev+ bet in MMA history, not even in the past few weeks, Ronda vs Holm was a much better bet
