as for race stats, some french forum compiled a bunch of statistics and after warp gates got nerfed they checked the win percentage of the top 100 players by rating on europe for each race from march 15 to march 22.

top 100 terran won 60%
top 100 zerg won i think 56%
top 100 protoss won 43%


was kind of a joke. this patch was not enough of a buff, at least it ruined scv/rine rushes but everything else for t was improved.

stalker buff is not really that huge of a buff. its nice to get 25% damage increase vs rines/lings etc, but they dont do more damage against marauders and after being upgraded they are less useful in late game cause they dont get a bonus damage point vs armored.

what i dont get is why fucking zerg can make roach queen in 3 minutes and puke out 7 roach instantly but toss cant get warpgate that fast.....

also dont get why they nerfed dt and observers.

colossus nerf is fine, but still kinda gay.

buffing banelings is lol
making vikings cheaper is lol
faster bunker is also lol, every pvt on desert oasis i get bunkered behind my minerals and lifted barracks 2 min into game

everyterran is just going to bunker expo with marauders now and i still have no clue how to beat that cause they can get ghosts so fucking fast. victor went 0-3 vs it in the finals of esl and hes like a top 5 protoss in the world

Yeah i'm not really sure what to do right now. How are you supposed to beat terrans? It is super hard against that many mauraders. At least the range on the ghost is lower, not sure how much this helps.

Anyways, thx voidward for that pvz build. It has been working wonders. I'm just curious how you get that pylon behind their mineral line. Do you retreat all the way then come back and place it, or do you place that pylon early?

ive done it a few times and basically if you see them hatch first immediately run there and put a pylon because the forge does not build much slower than the pylon does so in order to time it right you need to have the pylon there pretty damn early

options vs expand marauder seem to be zeal sentry expand or a fast +1 upgrade into expand so immortals kill marauders with stim in 2 hits and who cares about marauders without stim

man i played/obsed for liek 14 hours straight today at the end i was like just one win and imma go sleep but ofc lol cant win in that state:D

The game froze up like 5 times on me today, and playing Mondragon - Nightend - kAra - HasuObs - WhiteRa in a row didn't help my win ratio either T_T

At least I beat Nightend for consolation in a pretty convincing way actually

It never froze pre-patch - is there anything I can do besides upgrading nVidia drivers? There's no error message, it just closes or tells me I have disconnected (and my net is 100% fine). I updated them now but gotta sleep so I can only test it tomorrow.

A small help I found vs marauders is having a control group of 1 stalker 2 immortal and shift-right click through the opponent's marauders after they stimmed. It makes killing them a bit more optimal but they're still a pain in the ass...

ive won 2 games in a row vs marauder expanders, one was vs fuzer. i just do a standard robo build, expo after 2 immortal/5 stalker, then robo bay, one more immortal then colossus, usually have 1 colossus out by the time they try to attack with ghost, and as long as you spread your units, have one sentry that guardians before they get there you should get out of that battle ahead, then you can either throw down 2nd robo or tech to temps, i generally 2 robo and go colossus/immortal/stalker and try to pressure enough to make them not switch over to viking

after you scout, if he doesnt have his fast expand yet, go back to the natural and hide your probe so that the drone coming to do a fast expand doesnt see it, but if you move a bit forward you can see the hatchery (and since it has such low visibility it doesnt see the probe). otherwise you can scout a bit later, and simply carefully maneoeuver your way around the hatchery building to go behind the minerals and unless he has an overlord he can't see you went there.
