I'm getting sick and tired of all these all ins.

yeah I'm losing interest in the game for that exact reason... it's just pretty boring atm

the bonus points are retarded. i got moved to platinum when i was 60-35 and my rating was 946, now i think im 110-75 1703, so ive essentially gone 50-40 and my rating jumped 750 points, kind of a joke lol.

This thread is bringing down the baller-ness of LP.net in general. Time to move to closed thread imo...

i dunno its pretty fun imo, i just sign up on sc2ru cup on friday then do craftcup on saturday then do esl after that if i bust then go for zotac on sunday and then monday night i can go for some esl monday night action.

man i really hate zvz its like a fucking crapshoot. build a few more drones there and die now or not build em and die later.

really wish i knew how ret's suggested muta ling zvz plays out. So tilting not to be in control of a mu.

finally top page of my division after some grinding. no bonus points left though so i expect to drop with my current skill level cause i dont think i am 50% vs the top 10

I don't understand why they don't just use an ELO system. The current system sucks :/

yea its definitely retarded. also dont understand why they dont just have one huge ladder for each server and have everyone play on it. but whatever, gives 18 people the ego booster of being #1

actually this game pisses me off lately. Playing random you won't become good, but playing t, you have to play such retarded mu as tvt, and playing zerg you have to play lottery called zvz, so basically it leaves out p, which i suck at....... lol tough spot

I played random in a lot of tournaments in SC1. As far as I can remember almost all of my losses have come when I drew P. I just suck at the P.

if you guys need any help with p feel free to ask me anything, i have the worst micro/speed in the world but i do well because i have a pretty good understanding of tactics, strategy and unit combos, plus ive learned a lot from this thread so i think i should give a lot back to you guys now.

how do u beat an early expand with lings to mass muta pvz

if the z hatches first there are a number of builds that should cripple them. if i see hatch first i make forge after gate then cannon behind their natural mineral line like loco does. or i open with a 10 gate and chrono boost a few zeals like naz does.

if the z goes pool first its a bit harder. but the loco build kinda rapes the zerg if they dont go roach because you can hold off mass ling with your sentry/cannon at front, you have plenty of zeal/sentry with a +1 upgrade, and you can beat muta because you are bringing the fight to them. also you are on 1 base so you can cannon your minerals a bit while massing off 4 gate, and when you attack, your hallucinations are good enough meat shields and your +1 rapes the lings, sentries rape the muta when its a head on fight.

Zerg players usually underestimate how much pressure you can inflict with 1 gate chrono'd zealots, if you micro / multitask well, you can tech up to void ray rush while maintaining pressure / withdrawing after you forced the Z to mass up a shitton of (useless) lings instead of powering drones. He may drive you back but can't break through and Void Rays are on the way. This is pretty micro and multitask intensive though, the timing attack build is a lot more simple. I just prefer to be in control. Even if he defends (again throwing away tons of minerals) he should've stopped making lings so you can keep streaming a few zeals, expand yourself and play from then on. Only have to be careful of those pesky hydras if you failed to inflict major damage.

I dunno if it means anything, my rating is ~2.1k, and I have a few good scalps (lost to most notable good / oldschool SC players or WC3 pros though, albeit sometimes in really close games), take these words in that context.

I should keep trying new builds though, I'm really not satisfied with my arsenal yet.

yea im on euro server, bought my key from strafe.

im not a big fan of going stargate first vs zerg but youre def right that void ray followups can be good if you force roach and get cannons to defend the roach rush, it def can be a game ending move. but i find for setting up the late game its 100% best to go robo first to force them to go something other than roach, and you basically switch to zeal/sentry/colossus after 2-3 immortal then switch over to temp afterwards.
