My little bro just tried using Storm + Zeal + Stalkers vs. Colossus + Stalker and got destroyed in the head on battle.

Is there any use for storm in SC2 or does it just plain suck?

Why would you storm+zeal+stalker vs colossus and stalker?

And in my experience as a Z storm>>>>colossus mid/lategame pvz. Storm pretty much means you cant use hydras and/or mutas as the brunt of your army anymore and with solid storm+forcefielding it can do pretty well vs roach too. You just need alot of shit to back the HT up, like zeal/sentry/stalker and maybe a few immortal. Colossus are too easily made obsolete once Z has the money to get 8-10 corrupters (has taken his third base).

storm+zeal+stalker vs colossus sounds like suicide lol

immortal > colossus
colossus > infantry
infantry > immortal

pvp is fucking weird, its most cost effective to go zeal/colossus/sentry but be careful they dont swithc up and go phoenix/void ray on you

had some trouble today against fast expo terrans. its hard to tell if someone is doing an expo build or that stupid 8 rine 10 scv rush build so i dont know what to defend vs. there are modified fast expo builds where people go few mm then fast ghost with expo and its very hard to take down, and toss doesnt really have the option of expanding quicker than that.

ive experimented with dt a few times and its worked every game but i am not sure i want to make that my base strategy

something i've been doing against that lately is fast forge turned into a 3 warpgate rush + robo'd proxy

basically when i see fast 2rax from T i play in their little game of going forge, which is obviously what they want so they can expand safely, and i end up not making any cannon if i don't feel like they are doing the rush. instead i switch as fast as i can to warpgates and make a proxy robo so i can push the fast expand with lots/stalker/immortals asap before they end up having banshees or whatever. if they aren't doing a planetary fortress they lose their expand 100%, otherwise you can just try going up.

anyone experiencing problems w bnet today? First i won a game, but actually lost points and received a lose. now i can't log to my account, it says that i have entered incorrect password. I am sure i have entered a correct one checked few times, no caps lock or w/e :/ wtf

Would love to watch your stream, But no Sound is fail. At least get some virtual mic to get the sc2 sound, or whatever you have to do for that.

@ytricky I was listening to Metal earlier when I was streaming and I realized it sounded like shit on the stream + it's probably not what a lot of people want to hear, so I just removed the sound completely. I'll always have sound when I'm playing 1v1, but if I'm screwing around in custom games or 2v2 I generally have music so meh...

@basementkid... I play all the time and I'll be streaming every time i'm playing.

awesome thanks! ill be tuning in. I got placed in gold for placement games, and have been using your strategy really well, hoping to improve even more. Also it works pretty well in 2v2 as well because if they rush your partner you can warp in shit in your partners base and cannon the shit out of them plus push one of the enemies base.

Does anyone know any solid BOs for zvt or pvz? I literally am winning 95% of zvps but losing 95% of my zvts. I don't know how protoss can win against an FE speedling into muta build, and I don't know how zerg can beat a well timed/micro'd marine/marauder attack.

tosses are definitely coming up with new strats that make me cringe.
Saw a stalker push, saw an immortal push with halucinations. Now between halucinations and FF its very hard to stop it with lings.

I don't like going SG first vs Zerg either but it's the only option that has worked for me to stop Z from going ling -> muta, it forces hydra and most zergs don't (not immediately at least) switch to muta after that. Even if they'd try, 1-gate unit stream + Void rays combined can take down the zerg expo unless Z went mass speedlings (in that case don't move out obv, no need to suicide just yet) but then he has worse eco and will struggle stopping your Voids.

I have won games with 4 gate pushing (similarly to what I use in PvP) and with Immortal pushes too (which resembles to PvT somewhat, except you need more zeals rather than stalkers), but it feels to me that my Void Ray opening applies a lot more pressure, and let's me expand to catch up after I force the Zerg to spend resources on defending even if I don't insta-kill him. I get my ass handed to me by most good SC2 players (the ex wc3 foreigner "semi pros" and most top BW foreigners) so maybe this only works vs those ~2k platinum scrubs which are near my level and the whole idea is flawed

I wish Blizzard would include a win ratio by matchup statistic, which should be shown near the "most successful map" 'n shit like that. I'm really curious (my gut tells me PvP is my highest despite struggling with it early on, I think I figured most of it out as it stands now, then PvZ and PvT is atrocious simply because there's a timing window where u can't scout the terran properly, just when he/she decides how the basic BO of the matchup is altered. I haven't figured out a solution for that yet, just guesswork =. And if anything is overpowered in this game atm, Marauders are. They're simply ridic with stim )
