alot of thought ran in my head. On the flop I figured his range is AK/KK but I was completely confused by the turn shove... fold or call?

fold seems good. he is tight, those cards hit his range completely. end thread.

AndrewSong    United States. Mar 26 2009 19:05. Posts 2355

why would KK shove turn?

locoo   Peru. Mar 26 2009 19:11. Posts 4566

why not?, he has top set on a superdrawy board and the pot is already 100bb+, he says fuck it I shove

seriously if he has KK, just take the 2 outer like a man, u 4bet, well played, I don't see why he would go setmining with KK there, he'd prob get it in pre flop, unless ur image sucks too much for dat

I like ur flop check, but why don't you go AI after that?If he has set-well it is 4-bet pot so w/e.U let him bluff so now just get it in

yeah if you check flop it should be to check jam imo, esp when he bets 450 only

with these stacksizes I don't like ur 4-bet size that much, I think if you make 750 he will shove more and call the hands he would call with this sizing anyway. And yeah checkshove

I agree

thanks for the advice every1

that board can't get any worse for a 4bet pot in 9 handed game.

As played I fold turn, but I would play flop differently. I think I like check/push the best or small bet like 1/3 of the pot (didnt check stack sizes but in case if it is reasonable) to induce stupid moves and get it in. If he calls well then it sucks and I think u have to fold turn.

there is a light at the end of the tunnel... (but sometimes the tunnel is long and deep as hell)

u 4 bet, the money goes on the flop...

as played u gotta fold turn imo, but you shouldnt be in this spot.

Like people said if you thought his range on the flop was AK,KK why didnt you shove? He also has KQs,AQcc too tho so on the turn you probably arent getting enough odds to call.

AndrewSong    United States. Mar 28 2009 13:27. Posts 2355

cuz ak folds to shove and i would rather take a line to get all of his monies when im ahead. he will never have aq/kq for sure...

Fayth    Canada. Mar 28 2009 14:08. Posts 10085

if he's calling your 4bet with AK, he's certainly not folding to a shove on this flop

because this is full ring... hes 3-betting our UTG with KQs and calling a 4-bet?

so he calls a 4-bet with AK to re-evaluate after flopping TPTK?

Ya i think AK should approach K high flop very cautiously in this situation. two standard line top tier fr regs usually takes here with KK&AK would be to check the flop to potcontrol with AK&KK(to balance out the check with AK) or bet and re-evaluate with AK. KK would play it self with the bet. which is why i wanted opinion on this hand since i dont encounter his line daily.

I wouldn't fault you if you had folded flop. (full ring vs a decent? regular)

rofl yeah well, what can he put you on, if you 4bet and check that flop?, that he feels fine shoving the turn?

i think he has KK JJ here 99% of the time. fold is definetly fine. but c/c the flop was terrible lol.

I spent about 10 minutes yesterday when I saw his post trying to write a reasonable response on why I felt this was really out of place.

I couldn't do it.
