so last week a 17 year old kid was shot in the back walking down the street two blocks from my house... now this DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET from me

Police: Man Killed During Home Invasion in the Bronx

NEW YORK (AP) -- A 44-year-old man died from a beating during a home invasion in the Bronx, police said.

As many as eight men pushed their way into an apartment shortly after midnight Sunday, police said. An 18-year-old was tied up, and the 44-year-old was beaten.

Police say after the intruders left, the teenager was able to free himself and called 911. The 44-year-old was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are not sure what was taken in the home invasion.

The names of the victims were not released.

About two weeks ago someone shot across the street (about 120-150 meters) from my apartment. Police couldn't find the shooter or the victim. Consequently, the security for my apartment complex has been fired.

I live 1 mile from university.

yup the Bronx is pretty tough. I don't get that much violent stuff down here in Manhattan but I'm always hearing about some crazy story in Bx or BK.

I live in a very safe area.
But we had a drive by shooting few month ago.
2 Albanians killed a Greek at 3pm afternoon ... in the middle of a crowded street where my house borders ... ( my house is like 100 meters away from the crime)
they did drive by and then shoot bullets out of 2 guns through the car window ...

the kid was a wittiness to a crime and was going to testify in court. ill write the rest of the movie tomorrow.

all joking aside tho, that shits really fucked up, id hate to go that way.. but i still think something else was going on, not just a normal robbery.
