imo every other player does the same. _no one_ insta folds here, just for the sake of the pot size. that doesn't mean that they are "close to calling".

Ivey taking several minutes to reconstruct the hand and mentally assess bluff vs value vs bluffs-that-beat me ranges is not the same as not insta folding

I said it before and I'll say it again. I dislike Gabe Kaplan on that show. Get someone knowledgeable or someone entertaining. Not someone who is somewhat knowledgeable and somewhat entertaining (to some).

yeah obv, but regarding this hand, its clear that ivey wins only vs a tiny range of durrr (even big part of durrr's bluff range has ivey crushed), ivey was only beating like A8-A9 combos or 7/8/9 combos , and also like 22-55, which all is super small part of his range + unlikely. so, in conclusion, i don't think we can say "he was so close to calling" , he just tanked cuz it was half a mirrion pot, which every other player would do .

edit : (i dont wanna analyze ivey's thought process or anything, i just think that ivey wasn't "so close to calling" )
