Let's play StarCraft

rS.Wisdom[9] and I met up in Las Vegas this past weekend and spoke about old times.

One of the fun memories I had from StarCraft was getting 8 people together and playing a game of Race Wars, which is usually done on Hunters or Big Game Hunters. Everyone chooses random, and then they scout for people of the same race, which usually means it's a 3 vs. 3 vs. 2 game. Everyone is talking shit while they play the game, which makes it fun.

Anyway, I haven't played StarCraft in 10+ years, but I'd be down to play again if we can get enough people for an 8-man game.

Post here if you're interested, and we can assemble some people. I assume it'll take awhile to assemble 8 old school SC players who want to play, but it's worth a shot. Anytime in 2024 works for me.

I have to install blizzard again but my apm might be like 130-140 peak at 170ish as Terran

I would but i fear i would stumble back into being addicted and waste too much time. I like to gamble but thats a big one.

I haven't been addicted to SC in a very long time. It's still a great game, though.

me and 2 of my friends still play almost every week. 3v3 hunters 1 used to play poker but both of them used to play starcraft.

we're not great or anything, but we're a good match against 120 to sub-200 apm-ish types

I don't think I can even get over 100 apm anymore without it being spam, mostly because I don't remember basic build orders, so I would need to watch a few replays to trigger some prior knowledge that is lying dormant somewhere deep in my brain.

The skill, precision, and apm on these guys are incredible. I always thought some of these guys might be the best at anything ever.

Who is better at what they do than top SC pros?

Hard work and luck looks the same but it's nice to have both

They might be, some sports have those things. But yeah broodwar is insanely hard and also includes many of the mindgames of poker..
