saw it couple weeks ago; loved the premise and thought it started great but 2nd half disappointed. there's just not much to it except the shock value.

yeah it didnt escalate interestingly and the "biting fight" scene was ridiculous

Loco was one of my film hookups and still is. He has a great list of cinema you could probably ask him about. I got the next two from him.

I watched "Before Sunrise" last night. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112471/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Just two people that meet on a train hanging out in Vienna. Good dialogue. Cool movie.

I am looking forward to watching the sequel tonight. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381681/?ref_=nv_sr_2

drop acid, watch Koyaanisqatsi

Yes go and take a drug that makes you hyper suggestible and go in a semi hypnotic state by passively observing a television. Before psychedelics were called that they were called psychotomimetic and no one had experiences like today they are suggestegens! Not that koyanisqaatsi is bad haven't seen it like Phillip Glass though.

I dont understand your point, but I wouldnt call their effect hyper suggestible, I'd say they are hyper reflexive.

Have you tried them? Its very difficult to explain what they do.

My point is that when watching a movie you are already in a suggestible state to the message and subliminals because you are passive adding LSD it would be amplified but that koyaanisqaatsi doesnt look as bad as standard Hollywood garbage though.

I have tried mushrooms when I was 14 I was expecting a spiritual experience because I did read up on it quite a lot on the net. I had a bad trip which ended as a good trip I sensed someone in the family would die and then when 'good trip' arrived listening to music from flaming lips. It was gay and I thought I was psychic because someone did die in the family not long after this is an example of how this shit fucks with people. Only good thing to come out of it was while bad trip we were watching friends and since then my interest in fictional TV never was the same since I saw through the acting or some shit. I was hyper sensitive to the lyrics in the music this is how the 60's revolution happened all those people were hyper suggestible and the results speak for themselves. But it's complicated yes but before they started to suggest that there was anything spiritual about these substances people didn't react that way http://www.gnosticmedia.com/Entheogen...hedelicSpirituality_SocialControl_CIA

You don't make any sense. You say psychedelics makes you highly "suggestible", but in your case (watching Friends), it was the opposite?

Don't try to make sense out of anything he says. Have you guys never read his posts before? From his point of view, he broke out of the Matrix while we're all brainwashed by the NWO so we can't see the truth behind all the conspiracies he's aware of. This is what he believes in:

Fucking leafs shut up loco

Uick maybe that is a delusion that it was caused by friends but I don't think that friends would be something that would resonate very much or have a message and it was what started the bad trip maybe you have to embrace it like most people do when they go to concerts or watch a good movie. It's not just what you do while on it it is also what you expect. When hoffman took it for the first time there is nothing about anything spiritual just bad trip nightmare situation the ecstatic high is something that a schizophrenic also has but to him it's not nice since the trip lasts forever. And the notion that tribal cultures took it for spirituality is also wrong it was used for people that were going to be sacrificed and also just sickness and shit. So the hallucinations and psychotic state is real the spiritual aspect is a modern invention and since they put you in a highly suggestible state it has worked. To make someone go insane on LSD is also easy.

Epsilons (singing)

No more Mammy, no more Pappy:
Ain't we lucky, ain't we happy?
Everybody's oh so happy,
Everybody's happy now!

Sex galore, but no more marriages;
No more pushing baby carriages;
No one has to change a nappy–
Ain't we lucky, ain't we happy:
Everybody's happy now.

Dope for tea and dope for dinner,
Fun all night, and love and laughter;
No remorse, no morning after.
Where's the sin, and who's the sinner?
Everybody's happy now.

Girls pneumatic, girls exotic,
Girls ecstatic, girls erotic–
Hug me, Baby; make it snappy.
Everybody's oh so happy,
Everybody's happy now.

Lots to eat and hours for drinking
Soma cocktails–no more thinking.
NO MORE THINKING, NO MORE THINKING!
Everybody's happy now.[126]
~ Aldous Huxley

Now go talk about the idiot box some more

Sike!

I would much rather hang out with these fine aristocratic autiste gentlemen than any of you bland normalfags.

Psychedelic substances like ayahuasca create a state of hypersuggestibility in which persons are very open to being influenced by others. Many traditional cultures have utilized this condition to inculcate cultural values and behaviors in young people as they receive initiation into adulthood. In the West, countercultural values can be inculcated in young people when using these psychedelics, especially when using them in an antinomian context.[129]

"Before Sunset" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381681/?ref_=nv_sr_1 is better than "Before Sunrise" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112471/?ref_=nv_sr_1 but watching the first is highly advisable. They are both good. I just like the flow of the second one a bit better. How the conversation develops is great.

Yea was gonna mention that but figured everyone had already seen it and knew about it. Matt such a better actor than his brother; played that perfectly. The wife was great too. That scene towards the end when he runs into ex wife and her friend pushing the stroller... dam. Best movie last year honestly probably above he'll or high water but I'd put those 1-2

You speak on psychedelics based on bs you've read and 1 experience at 14 years old. Your post reeks of ignorance. They can be very enlightening as well as spiritual. No other way to experience true ego loss like that AFAIK. You aren't really in some suggestible state and they sure as he'll never influenced a whole generation in the 60s. That whole counterculture thing was more of a response to Vietnam etc. and societal norms at that time. The drugs were a byproduct or aspect of the culture movement but certainly not a cause and any credit they are given as an influence since then in literature or what not is largely BS anti-drug propaganda or simply misinformed opinion.

Yea the 2nd is the most well received and acclaimed of the 3 films by far

The philosophy behind Aldous Huxley's work and the mechanics of Soma in Brave New World is quite literally the opposite of that of hallucinogens.

Soma is a form of chemical control implemented by the government. It is addictive and regulates behavior in a predictable fashion. It even controls lifespan. Relating to our world the fictional drug Soma would be closest to Opiod narcotics and maybe Benzos.

The only similarities to hallucinogens are that they are both technically drugs. Mushrooms and LSD are completely non-toxic in the body; no long term health effects even from sustained use and an absurdly high LD50 to where overdose is nearly impossible (people have mistaken pure LSD for heroin and done massive IV injection - thousands of doses at once - and made full recoveries after it wore off). These substances are mind altering in that they can expand awareness and allow people to think outside of their normal frames of reference. The government would prefer people conform to the control systems they implement and have indoctrinated us to participate in from childhood. For these reasons they are made highly illegal - quite opposite from your proposition that they are themselves agents of control.
