I'm down to once every ten days if that (never was more than 4/week) and not through some deliberate effort. I'm conscious of the fact i'm trying not to do it but it isn't taking some great effort I guess I would say. I think it helps keep a girlfriend and sex with her interesting and desirable but isn't really necessary with strangers or flings or whatever. I don't know if its a good idea to stop masturbating completely though because especially during times (I know for me at least) when you aren't getting laid much when you finally do get with a woman you don't want to last for less than a minute or hell less than 30 seconds. If you haven't had an orgasm or got close to one in two months you are not going to last very long having sober unprotected sex.

I think it's just about balance really. You need to factor in how sensitive you are and it also matters HOW you fap.. if it's while watching solo stuff e.g. a girl getting undressed and showing you her body that's probably one of the most healthy forms. On the other hand if you're into really hardcore stuff you need to limit it a bit because it can be so stimulating. Eventually you won't enjoy sex as much as porn and it can get to the point where having sex with women has little appeal over porn. I mean, it's pretty much impossible for a woman (or several, you dog!) to compete with porn. It's just not real and that's when "nofap" stuff starts to become really healthy as it starts to get you back to reality. Sometimes I wonder if you took away your sex hormones would you have any desire to have sex? What would life be like? I know sometimes I feel that when my sex drive is at rock bottom and I actually think about it, the act itself is quite disgusting. At that point it's just an emotionless and repulsive reproductive act. That feeling can only possibly last for a few hours max though as I have a very high sex drive and unavoidably I feel something brewing inside and it becomes appealing again. It's often thought of as fun but is it fun just because our body makes it fun? I actually have a lot of deep seated negative thoughts and feelings about women due to my parents divorce when I was 5, being raised by a single father not knowing my mom, my first fucked up relationship. I do think masturbating to internet porn has negative effects. I remember as a teen, back when i didn't watch porn, i could sit in class and get raging hard boners just looking at a girl. Nowadays, i rarely get any boners during the day except with my girlfriend or when watching porn, and i noticed that if go whitout any fapping for 3-4 days, my performance in bed is a lot better. I think when you abuse porn, your brain require more simulation to get the same level of boners, and simply looking at your girlfriend's tits won't have the same effect as when you were a young porn free guy.

However i think porn doesn't have the same effect on everyone. If your the type of guy that keeps watching more hardcore stuff, and do things like edging for a long time, it fucks up reward circuitery much more than the guy who just cums in 30 seconds watching the same kind of things every times.
