Man, when Jesse killed Meth Damon. Sweet revenge. |

ive had more time to think about it, and i dont really know what the cause of it was but i wasnt emotionally connected with the finale. i was very entertained the whole time, there were a bunch of moments when i literally laughed out loud. but there was never any urgency or nervousness or any emotion out of me. just felt kinda distant from the whole episode, maybe due to the predictability. of course there were some minor story problems like the nazis not checking the trunk, todd turning his back on jesse and looking outside, walt putting ricin in the exact teabag lydia would use, the entire nazi scene could have gone horribly wrong for walt, they might have just shot him or never gave him his keys back or something. but i dont really care about any of that. it was a good episode that wrapped everything up nicely but i wish i could say i loved it |

Basically this.
edit - one thing I can disagree with - walt had made certain there was only one stevia left. Although as someone earlier mentioned - who's to say they would sit there and on one else would be? I thought in the past they usually sat by the windows? Whatever.
I didn't get the OMG feeling when this ended. |

I think what would have helped was if the finale was 2 hours long, both episodes stitched together. 50 minutes for a finale as big as Breaking Bad is really pushing it. Even though it essentialy was both episodes strung together, the week long gap between it broke them apart and made them both feel far too short. |

I always felt disconnected from the show compared to other shows while still somehow liking it more than others. I think the soundtrack has something to do with it. Not affecting my emotions like other soundtracks typically do in films/tv shows. Could just be me though. |

Checked episode 15 and 16, lydia sits almost at the same table (tables are arrenged differently but its kinda the same spot) so it could be kinda predictable for walt that she was going to sit there. Also walt explained how he finded her. Walt says that every thuesday at 10am they (Walt & Lydia) meeted at that place. I think it would been a more "OMG" moment if we didn't know about the ricin until the last moment, when lydia called todd.
| | they might have just shot him or never gave him his keys |
i think Walt knew that things could had gone that wrong, but actually he wasn't expecting that they were going to kill him, he thought he was going there to make business
Todd giving his back, i think is normal reaction, i mean he just wanted to know what the fuck happened and also not expecting that jesse would do something, maybe he even didn't notice that jesse was alive.
For me the most "plot hole" moment was when he stole the car, like why police didn't check the car. |

yeah also forgot it, but now that you mention it, when he is waiting for walt jr, we can see just 2 guys in a car not really doing a good job, they might be the same guys when todd make the visit to skyler lol.

Hank isn't with the DEA anymore to pass along the art of the stakeout so Walt goes ghost on them |

Apart from how he got in Skylar's house it was a really good ending. Rarely happens in series these days and i believe they finished the series exactly at the right time and didnt leech off more money |

Couldn't agree more. So many shows get ruined because they're dragged on for too long. Great ending indeed. Not jump out of my chair stuff but it was fitting for the show imo. |

I think not explaining how Walt got into skylers house is simply saving time for a trivial thing, its not like he accomplished something ridiculously hard/ |

Yea this is kind of what I meant when I was talking about Hanks death not having much impact earlier in the thread. Didn't really care about the Nazi's either. Only characters I really cared about were Jesse & Walt, which kind of makes sense.
But yea even with that said I still loved the series. Probably my #2 all time. |

Well it probably would be pretty hard when you realize how wanted Heisenberg is especially since they think he killed two DEA agents. but yea I forgive them for time constraints. It's not like Breaking Bad has always been a super realistic show. |

If they hadn't done the flash forwards (machine gun and ricin) i think a lot of people would have been more surprised and liked the finale more.
On the other hand those scenes acted as plot devices to allow them to be skipped in the finale itself freeing up time for other stuff they wanted to show assuming they couldn't add more time to the finale. The flash forwards also kept you thinking and added to the epIsodes they were in and the suspense at that time. Many people liked those earlier episodes more than the finale anyways so I guess they thought it was better this way |

They've done the flash forward thing for the entire show though TBH. It's kind of a staple of the show. |

i remember being much more tense and nervous when watching the dynamic with tuco into the 2 mexican hitmen brothers, to the guy in the wheel chair and gus.
this season...i can't really even hate on jack for being a neo nazi, they all just look like hipsters to me.
todd....has like downsyndrome and should be best friends with breakfast...they didn't even do a good job making him come off as a psycopath, lydia...iono if she's even that bad of a human being. didn't really care that he killed her or even felt the need for her to die.
for me the highlight was much earlier in the season when Mike died. u could really see wat an insecure person walt is, and the compassion and empathy that they built up for mike over the years hit home for me.
the final bosses, lydiah, jack todd, + hipster gang...i couldn't care less....iono |
I had a very different view of Todd and he didn't have many layers but his simple nature was just...creepy sometimes. Guy has like no soul or morals but he's like your polite next door neighbor who has secretly kept children captive in his underground dungeon for years. I remember seeing Todd smile while chomping on some food when Jesse mentioned that Todd blew some kid's head off...like wtf? Guy was pure evil.
It's been 24 hours since I saw the finale and I still have the same feelings about the show. Def best show I've ever seen.

i thought todd was a good character who could've been great if they used a little more subtleness. i really like the idea of the aw-shucks innocent-looking farmboy being a cold-blooded killer, but i thought the contrasts were extreme to the point of being over the top and almost silly. |

i wish they would've shown jesse in a moment of sobriety at some point during the final. maybe seeing brock, maybe talking to his friends, or idk whatever. maybe just have more/better dialogue when he's talking to walt after the nazis die. throughout the series he had these fits of intense emotion, but mixed in with moments of introspection. just driving off like that feeling ecstatic to get out, and deranged from all he's been through, without any clarity felt like it was missing something to me. |

I dunno. He played the perfect sociopath to me. Everything about his character makes sense to me considering the family he has. I think Todd was a great character played by a great actor. |
