Bet because you've got a fuckton of equity against most of his range and it sucks to check/call

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

I bet $10 and got raised to $25, we had somewhere around 25 behind after I called and x/f'd a blank river. I think this is ok?

in hindsight bettin smaller to draw cheaper vs the fish and such.. sounds pretty good

+1 no use betting big with a draw against a station.

i sorta feel the same way
if he calls 100% of the time, it's unprofitable to shove right? i don't think our equity is good enough vs set/2p/straight

if this guy is a station its a super easy check/call imo

who said he is a station, we just know he's a random fish, you can't assume he doesn't fold a 5, weak T, low pp or A high here.

We obviously wouldn't cbet so big if he was a total station when we have a draw on flop.

well exactly.. who said he's a station? i said IF... at this point its pretty unclear what he is exactly but he seems donkish

2 barrel isnt bad because you do have a shitload of outs but the 9 completes some of his hands (if he raises you, you happy bet/calling here vs JQ?T9?K9? etc)also even although its a card that helps your hand its not gonna 'scare' him into folding a ten or some shit & 3 barreling just seems spewy, he may not bet big.. if he does you can still check/call & probably get paid on diamond/4-straight rivers

i hate check/raise

you have 4-5 options all of which are reasonable, however against a fishy station my favorite is to bet really small, basically giving yourself the price you want.

id bet like 3 bucks. he will most likely call and you give yourself a cheap way to get the river. if he has a hand theres a decent chance he just minraises you so you can see the river for 6 bucks. so when he calls you can choose to continue your bluffs, shut down, and have cool ways to get max value like 2x pot jamming on an offsuit Q. if he minraises you are probably shutting down completely unless you get there. if he half pot raises you then you can call, if he full pot raises you then fold is fine. pretty easy to play any variation that comes after you bet the 3 bucks. you do lose some fold equity that youd normally have by betting 10 on the turn vs random Tx hands, but whatever, you can make it up by the money you save by not getting infinite in on the turn against some of his range that has you drawing to <12 outs

i mean if im playing this for stacks; e.g. bombing most rivers. i dont think theres a perfect way to play it.i wouldnt hate c/c turn even since u are drawing to the nuts almost always

betting cheaply against this player type OOP is ideal
