| | Oh snap, bot beat me by NewbSaibot, June 09
Maybe.... I've actually been refunded for some HU SNG's on FTP whereby apparently I was playing a bot. This was a few months ago and I never reported it b/c we didnt play enough for it to really register on me, but FTP emailed me about it and gave me $15 or so which amounted to my losses in the session. I knew where it happened b/c I had only played some $1 HU sng's and remember some psycho just speed shipping hands at random and insta-rematching me until he just stopped all the sudden.
Well I just ran into exactly the same thing again today. Cept this time the guy hung around for 40 matches I think, namely because we were semi-breakeven. These were the $1 hu sng's again and the play was identical. This time I decided to actually email FTP about it because after last time I feel I knew what to look for. Below is my account of the issue;
1) Every one of his actions was too fast to be human. He would always instantly check, instantly fold, instantly shove allin, instantly raise, etc. Not even 1 second in delay between actions. I wouldnt even have my finger off the mouse button before he would have already made his next action. He was only playing 1 table vs me, so not table ninja or AHK actions signifying someone just playing fast.
2) At the rematch screen this particular player would often wait 5-10 seconds before choosing to rematch me. You can tell this by observing the rematch status under the player names, it says accepted or declined. However if I chose to rematch him before he chose to rematch me, he would instantly accept and the next game would start.
3) While it is hard to judge the quality of someones play, a lot of his betting patterns seemed to be scripted. I called a few of his random shoves out of curiosity once I became concerned he was a bot, and I saw completely random hands that made no sense. I know players can bet any way they choose, but combined with the above factors it seemed more like a series of triggers were prompting the bot to make these plays. And they werent always shoves. On occasion it would be like half pot, or a minbet, or whatever. The sheer randomness makes it seem more botlike than any human would do.
4) He made a few random comments such as he enjoyed playing vs me, smiley faces, "hehe" and "nh" auto comments, etc, which looked to be attempts to sound human. My chat is banned so I could not respond to verify.
5) After I started winning several sessions in a row he suddenly disappeared from the site.
I probably would have assumed this was just some maniac with the fastest hands in the world again, but after being refunded for cheating before I obviously have to give some credibility to the issue. Ultimately I'm more disappointed that I lost to AI than some maniac lol. I finished this little excercise - 6 BI's, which I guess aint that bad really. Plus several of those were some insane suckouts, like aipf with 23 vs my A3 and he runner runners a straight, or getting 2 outered 44 vs 88. When I suspected he was a bot I started open shipping a few hands on him like Qx and Kx and he snapped with stuff like 95o and J6o and Q2o, etc. But then OTHER times he'd actually fold. Really bizarre. I know that makes it the most poorly programmed bot in the world, but maybe there is some stupid shitty romanian bot software out there that fucks up the game when people use it and plays like this.

| | CCTV anyone? by Oly, June 09
I need to set up a CCTV system and it's really expensive to buy whole systems which would be easy to set up. I'm thinking of getting the cameras and receiver and some funny card from hong kong on ebay which goes in a computer and a shit laptop and a 1tb external hard drive. Does this make any sense? Does anyone have any ideas? I'm a bit of a techno-noob, but I can pick things up very quick. Cheers. Free burgers to anyone who helps me!

| | Da POkers by YouGoTGoT, June 08
Starting playing the 100NL 20-50bb games. These things are fkin awesome. Obviously not as fun at 100bb or deep poker since you cant get too creative when dealing with alot of shortstacks, but super profitable. Im running way below EV and still crushing. People are just BAD. Sort of swingy with SSers and stuff but so worth it imo. Plan on crushing this for a while.
Some fun hands from a short 500 hand session:

| | Finally :D by blade55555, June 08
So finally after a couple months (wow already?) of poker I am finally starting to get into final tables for the 2.20$ tournaments quiet a bit recently.
My first week of poker I got lucky and won 40$ and thought I was the man (later lost that 2 days later and have sense stayed with tournaments way more fun ).
Made it into some final tables here and there won 9$ which isn't much but finally when I make it to the final table I am able to get in the top 3.
Yesterday Got into a final table 3 of us left I shoved an A/7 both spades and the guy called with 9/9. Unfortunately I did not get my ace nor flush (believe there was 2 spades though might be wrong ). I got my 7 but not enough so I ended up losing and was kind of annoyed with myself even though it was my first time and I did win 42$ (most I have won so far in any tournament). I feel I shouldn't have shoved but whatever thats in the past.
Today I made it into the final table (after literally going all game with low low chips). When we got to the last 18 I literally had 5k chips everyone seemed to have at least 20k. I ended up shoving with J/5 (blinds were big and couldn't wait any longer). Got lucky and won sweet I was now at 10k chips sweet but still way behind. Lost a hand and went back down, somehow got to 20k with 10 players left. Some guy named enterthelynx who has been calling me a donk/fish flaming me all game I ended up taking him out (AA he had J/5 rofl). That guy was a chip leader for a little bit then I beat him 2 hands in a row (JJ, then with AA taking him out). Both times he had a dumb hand so I don't know why he was so retarded flaming me and calling me a donk when he would call with the dumbest hands ever.
So final table 3 people left. I am chip leader. I shove with AK this guy shoves with 9K. He gets 2 9's I am now down to 5k chips. I somehow miraculously come back from that to 60k chips, ended up taking the third guy down which brought me to 60k while the chip leader had 220k.
Awesome I was happy to get 72$ no matter what. Kind of boring then I shove, he calls I win so now I have 220k chips he had like 100k. We both go all in me with J5 Diamonds him with 95 not suited. I got my Jack and 5 awesome I got this. The last card that flipped gave him a straight and so I ended up going down to 30k chips and lost from there .
But otherwise thought it was awesome I have made about 110$ or somewhere around there the past 2 days and I tend to be making it to the top 10 more and more which is awesome although I know its poker and I will go through phases right now I am just happy because with all the money I have put into poker stars all together (80$ all together I believe). I am up by 30$ (haven't been able to play too much in May due to school).

| | This is getting weird again by Luna_Bluffgood, June 08
Two nights ago, I dreamed that Tom Dwan had a propbet, that he had to capture and murder three people. I was one of them. He kept us in some sort of supply shaft/vent, which was really deep. On the top there were some fenced off windows, and you could only get up there by pressing yourself against the wall and your feet against some cupboard. Still, once you got to the top, there was the fence and Dwan waiting with a hot peace of metal with a handle on it (makes sense right? otherwise we would totally burn himself) and waiting to burn us if we tried to get out. So somehow we managed to get the fence of and I grabbed the peace of metal (somehow without burning myself) and we were able to get out and outmaneuver Dwan. But then we decided it wouldn't be fair to call the police, since he had been such a nice guy kidnapping us, so we let him go.
Well that wasn't all. Last night I dreamed I was watching a video of Midian (probably because I clicked on his blog about that nl100 video yesterday) showing us his place in Korea, where he was living with susie. It was really nice with all darkwooden furniture, really classy, and sick TV.
That's all i remember.
Seems like I always dream something which has some sort of connection to what happened to me day/week before. I wonder why I didn't dream about D2, which I have been playing quite a lot lately. (I might just be the worst lvl 72 barb which is out there though)
Cheers
