Today I took my first few shots at nl200. I put in my money good in some spots and ran up 2.5BI, but then started spewing off money and decided to quit my session around break even. Overall, I definitely feel that 1/2 prob. has more fish, and overall it's beatable but the regs are definitely more aggressive than at .5/1.

Seeing as it the first time I've ever played nl200, I think I have a good mindset to move up into it. I currently have 20 BI for nl200 and I'm going to take a 3 BI shot at it, if I don't do well, then I'm going to regrind nl100 for a while. But overall, I really want to go straight to the top. It's going to be a lot of hard work, and I probably won't be able to put in the hours this month since I'm going to be going out a lot, but next month in July, I'm going to head straight to the top.

Here are some graphs of my rungood

20 buy ins for 200NL is not enough imo

FWIW, I don't need this money for anything except to get better at poker and its my goal to go straight to the top.

Good, but 20BI for 200NL can be very dangerous imo, variance is a bitch. Anyway you probably know what's best for you, good luck !

I think that 20 BI's with 3BI shots sounds like a sound, but aggressive, plan for moving up. Especially if you feel like you can beat the fish for more money than you'll "give" to the regs. Personally I want more BI's for my shottaking since I can lose that amount in pretty much any given session, but 3 is enough to allow for at least some pokering. When you get past 20BIs with some margin you might also want to have a rule for when you need to move down despite having 20+ BI's.

gl hf with the shot taking!

that is def way too little, a few bad beats and you can look at half of your roll gone like nothing happened

to live the dream you gotta play the game

20 BI with 3 BI shots is GREAT if you don't need the money for anything else.

Good luck.
