1. any tips on multi tabling? i've tried it enough where i know i can't play very well. so i only play 6-8 now instead of 10+ that i used to. like i obviously know, realize and nearly accept that i cannot play 10+ tables for a very good winrate. but to be honest i'm just trying to figure out why. do any of the mass tablers have any tips on this issue?
2. is it worth getting money on absolute poker/cake poker/ultimate bet/party poker? i do enjoy my rake back but is the competition that much softer on the other sites? also how hard is it to get money off on these sites?
3. what is the best way to convert my ftp points into cash? i'm super bummed because i looked it up on lp and apparently back in the day you could have ordered an awesome bathrobe. but it looks like this iconic piece is no longer purchasable. so i'm looking to try and turn ftp points into cash.
4. i haven't perfected my game (not even close) but i do see some sort of plateau in the somewhat near future. how do i combat this? i don't really know what else to do. i'm not sure if watching videos will continue to help or not, so i'm kinda looking into coaching. or more so the prospect of coaching. to those who have received coaching how many sessions did you go through before you felt an effect on your game?
5. not really a question but after playing the ironman freeroll on ftp, i am convinced that freeroll is the way to go in case any of you were wondering.
Which training site should i pic? + going vegasby Balzamon, June 15
I'm pretty lost in the jungle of trainingsites out there and it was far to long ago i studied the game thru videos so i feel like starting again. If you can you give me some tips on which site i should become a member of and specific instructors on that site i should view it would be a great help!
I'm currently playing nl200-400 so i guess midstakes videos is what Im looking for, up to nl1k and such. I want to learn more PLO as well but its NLH thats really important.
Adding a poll but please write in the comment as well for instructors.
On another note i will take a two week trip to Las Vegas and stay at Bally's june 24th - july 8, anyone else gonna stay there or be nereby and maybe wanna eat/play some livepoker (gonna play mostly 1/3 i assume) ? Just PM me =)
Other then that I've noted that omaha has a bad case of zee swings.
I tend to get hung up to much on small, unimportant things. It annoys me and I seem to mess up my days. I feel to much like this guy, except I'm not as good humoured about things.
Been reading "The moon is a harsh mistress" for the fifth time or so. It makes me happy. I'd like to live on the moon sometime, or at least be part of revolution vs repressive government. Both be fun.
Tina Fey is awesome.
Also started playing a ton of poker again. Pretty fun. Don't really play well, but still. Mid stakes still works though. I might start being boring retard grinding most of the time I guess.
So i played 2 sessions. The first one of them i was down like 5 buy ins, managed to rise back up to -2 buy ins. Not the worst !
A bit later in the night I decided to make another session, which turned out to be not the best move i ever made. The hell broke loose! Lost a few buy ins in standard flips. Then got coolered by a 2 outer. Then I actually rose up a few buy ins, and thought it will not be that bad. I was Wrong - Lost KK vs AK. Then spewed a bit and voila ! -9 buy ins. gg
Rachel Maddow blasted BP COO Doug Suttles Monday night for what she found were highly misleading and inaccurate responses during an interview Suttles gave to NBC's Tom Costello.
Maddow had two main issues with the interview: 1. Suttles' explanation for why BP included animals such as walruses --which are typically not found in the region-- in a list of potentially endangered animals in BP's oil spill plan for the Gulf of Mexico; and 2. Suttles' attempt to defend the lack of technological innovation when it came to responding to spills by arguing that there had been "so few big spills" over the past few decades.
"The events haven't driven the technology change that's out there," Suttles told Costello.
Maddow called Suttles' explanation of the walrus mistake "not even a remotely believable answer." In response to his defense of the technology, she went to a board with a map of the United States on it and ran through a long list of oil spills that had occurred in the 2000s alone. She highlighted over a dozen of them, ranging from Massachusetts to Delaware to Louisiana to Alaska to California to Utah, and contradicting Suttles' claim that there have been too few spills to force the technology to catch up.

aiming to play 100k at NL25 hands in the next 14 days and play NL50/NL100 for the rest of the summer. I'll update with graphs if anyone is interested in following. Any Party poker micro/low stakes grinders on LP?
Joke. Actually this was my first poker day since like january i think.
Not so bad since i never play tournaments at all.
Sure it's a very low buyin. But that's within my BR !
roadtrip through sweden whole last week, to see kiss in stockholm last saturday, epic concert!
friend of ours who lives there made our makeup, pretty good for some1 that never painted some1s face before / dunno who the fudge kiss is.
epic trip, stayed in 4 different towns, 2 casinos, tons of beer and lots of fun ending with an epic concert, magical. best concert ive been on, including metallica 07 wich also was epic.
for poker it sucks ass, may was not very good, neither is june so far, atleast i made like 700$ playing live during the trip so i got the trip "for free" atleast, that was nice =)
Hello LPers, after a while, I finally successfully cracked the low stakes husng, which makes me happy and wasnt as ez as i thought it was gonna be, and it was quite disturbing to say the least.
I've had a dream where Gamblor came and told me how to play, then it's just an ez grind, and it's easily much more profitable and stable than anything i've played in the past, and i'm enjoying it.
So I decided to quit my job again, with a 2 hour notice, and i'll just grind up those for the rest of the summer at least, and go to school in automn as was planned, and part time those during it.
Edit: oh and doing so, i played a couple 22$ hypers too
Been slacking a bit lately at putting in the hands. I'm trying to get 4000 hands a day but thats not happening lately. I also haven't been playing near my A game, i've been spewing some buy-ins every day in dumb spots where I have mega fancy play syndrome. That said i'm running good lately so i'm still winning at an awesome rate =].
Today I took my first few shots at nl200. I put in my money good in some spots and ran up 2.5BI, but then started spewing off money and decided to quit my session around break even. Overall, I definitely feel that 1/2 prob. has more fish, and overall it's beatable but the regs are definitely more aggressive than at .5/1.
Seeing as it the first time I've ever played nl200, I think I have a good mindset to move up into it. I currently have 20 BI for nl200 and I'm going to take a 3 BI shot at it, if I don't do well, then I'm going to regrind nl100 for a while. But overall, I really want to go straight to the top. It's going to be a lot of hard work, and I probably won't be able to put in the hours this month since I'm going to be going out a lot, but next month in July, I'm going to head straight to the top.
Hello LP! I've been bored lately and have been playing a mix of cash games and tourneys and trying things out because it makes poker fun again. I'm thinking of trying out omaha but have little experience. I know the rules of the game but I've found from low stakes tournament omaha that I make critical mistakes and don't really understand the game as well as I think I do.
Anyone know of some resources or articles to get me pointed in the right direction learning basic PLO? I think I'll worry about omaha HI/LO some other time after I get better at PLO.
