So I got the first job i applied for here in sydney, I'm gonna work as a rides operator for 16.50$/h
at Luna Park from the 13th december. Hopefully I won't have to say "Enjoy ur ride!" more than 0 times a day. Until then I'll hopefully work as a translator for some company that was looking for a native speaker of swedish that speaks english fluently. I'm going there tomorrow for a writing and spelling test.
Still haven't found an apartment, which sucks since our roommate at the hostel is super annoying, smells really bad and is really creepy in general. His smell is taking over the room and it's getting thicker and thicker. His bed smells so bad and the room stinks even when he's not there. We've been
wondering what the smell was and we got the answer last night when I woke up from a floppy sound coming from his bed, it was rhytmic and definitely not something you want to hear when you're sharing a room with four other ppl. I was praying for it not to be what i thought it was. I turned around and saw him laying on his back, wanking off like there was no tomorrow, WTF?! What-the-fuck!!! I didn't know what to do so i just cleared my throat to let him know I was awake and it stopped.
ughughugh, it's so disgusting, we took a look in his bed this morning and we found sperm stains on his sheet. How many times has he been strangling the cobra while we've been sleeping? And whyyy is he doing it in his own bed? It's disgusting for us but even more so for him, he has to sleep in it. At the moment we saw the stains, it dawned upon us that the smell was old sperm, mixed with new sperm and his body smell. Idk if I'm gonna get him kicked out of the hostel or not, he's super disgusting and annoying but I feel bad for the guy. He has obviously been picked on through out his school years, not without a good reason, but still. I want to punch him in the face for being a disgusting creep but I feel to bad for that poor, pathetic dude. omg...
So well, as you know i ran somewhat terrible in october, was down 4k total, +8k rakeback which made october a great winning month of +4k! lolz Then november, i guess i was still playing not so good as well as running not so good, i played another 80k hands or so in November and i break even for most of the month until the end where i had a small heater of +8k, so november + october was a grand total of +19k (15k was rakeback).
December is going well so far! I'm playing 5/10 now i hope it goes well! So far it's quite cute! Hope i can have a september-like month
Well it's nearing the end of the year at work and there's pretty much nothing to do since everybody is wrapping up for the summer holidays.
I have a bit of time to pass, so I though I'd try a poker experiment to kill time.
Small history about my pokering. I was never brilliant. Just a standard grinder/nit. I've cashed a little under 10k, but I stopped playing about a year ago because I just wasn't cut out to play poker.
Anyway, I've been inspired by Nelly's horrible BR management and decided to put variance to the test. I'm going to try either rise quickly or sink fast with 10 buy-in 5 table FR pokering. Standard/lame I know, but here's some added spice.
I got my GF interested in poker and recently gave her my account with $100 to play with. I showed her some basic strategy etc and left her on her way. Surprisingly she's grinded up to ~$250 over the last 3 months or so. You go girl!
But my boredom takes precedence and being a girl she didn't change the pass (standard) and I still have access to the account.
Will I go broke and incur the wrath or the angry micro-stakes grinding Mrs? Will this be a win for the degens of the world who live by the flip of a coin?

Ran a bit worse today than the previous days (lol run bad at 4.7ptbb/100.. right), but also felt like I played a bit worse. Although this could of course be explained by the tables being a little less good (they were ridiculously donktastic this weekend), and just playing some people who weren't too fond of folding.
My W$WSF was ridiculously low tho so I probably did something wrong. Maybe didn't 2 barrel enough or steal checked pots enough.

well as you all know i upgraded with a radeon 1950 pro and also to 2 gig ram. WOW the card is AMAZING, and the ram has certainly helped a lot. but the card is ><
anyway so i thought i´d try out some modern games. i only have athlon 3200+ and of course midrange card/ram so didn´t expect much. but wow the performance i got was amazing, solid frame rates on high resolution and high option settings. i went so much as trying the demo´s hacked Very High graphic settings and a 1400x1000 resolution with crysis (altho obviously it was shite=)
anyway , well i dont play games and the best graphics thing ive played recently is some shitty free mmos. so i´m really not used to sitting down and seeing screens like this............WOOOOOOOW:::::::::::::?????? it was like photograph quality, like as near to realism as i´ve been, including my brief time on gothic 3 and morrowind

as for the gameplay, CoD4 seemed solid enough. Crysis had a different, less clostrophobic feel to it and once i realised that it let me do different things.
like first i tried getting in a car on the beach and charging the enermy and then running away coz i suck
then i figured out i have a cloaking device and played like metal gear for a while. i snuck up and killed them then thought hey ill get in the boat this time and sped across the lagoon machinegunning everything and cutting down trees and people left and right
sseriusly the cloaking ability felt just like playing metal gear live action fps it was sweet =D
I was going to leave for work and it turns out it snowed about a foot last night (no joke and we hadn't seen a speck of snow since last winter). So I get my JEEP CHEROKEE cleaned off and PUT IT IN 4WD. I go to leave my driveway which is at like a 40 degree slope and usually ices over but I figured since it was plowed, I don't know, five minutes ago it'd be fine. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, as soon as I hit the slope I have no brakes at all. The kicker is the road my driveway is on is the main road into my town with a speedlimit of 40 mph. The best part is there are three cars coming (luckily all in the lane closest to me). So I floor it into the other lane's ditch and the other car does a 180 in it's lane. No one was hurt or even touched another car but holy shit that could have been bad.
Running like shit in the last few hundred hands as you can see Lost two big pots when I was a 95% favorite on the flop in the span of 15 mins plus loads of other stuff but oh well. I'm also down like $600 in 6max at nl400 and nl500. Nothing too bad though. I'm gonna pwn again this month and obv win loads of moniez.
I'm kinda busy now and it's probably gonna be like this till xmas break (flying back to Poland on 16th of December) so I can't play much but I'll try to play as much as possible. I've been thinkin a bit lately about school and stuff and I'm sooo pissed off that I gotta go to the uni. And I've just started not even 3 months ago lolz. I'd sooo love to drop out but I'm definitely not gonna do it. I hate having any responsibilities etc. But I need a degree, so meh.. I'm gonna try to get some info about taking a gap year between 1st and 2nd year but from what I've heard it's not possible in the UK. Anyone has got some info on it?
I gotta do some reading today for my group project which is fkin annoying cause I'd rather do it myself. I could write the whole thing on my own in 3-4 days but in a group it takes over a month. And I gotta get up at 8am tommorow. Conclusion? Uni sucks. At least I'm gonna go to the cinema tonight to see American Gangster and from what I've heard it's pretty awesome. Then I'll probably have a pint (or five) on my way back.
I'm kinda losing motivation to play poker as well. I just feel sort of burnt out. I'm not as eager to play as I used to be and I often play just cause I feel like I have to. I kinda don't understand myself cause yeah, I'd love to just play for a living without going to the uni and without even thinking about getting a real job in the future. But on the other side I think that I wouldn't be able to do it in the long term cause sometimes periods like this come and I just feel like doing nothing. And without playing I'm not gonna earn any moniez. I'm also kinda distracted by some personal stuff so it might have sth to do with it. No more poker today then. So I started off December up around 16k, mainly from a solid 10/20 and 25/50 HU session where I played weak competition with relative ease. Today I fell back into old habits, generally playing on autopilot and letting stupid things tilt me to no end. I ended down around 11k which isn't so bad since I'm still up 21k over the weekend. But still it irks me to no end that I still do this, imo its immature and you never see great players blow up like this.

So I have this macroeconomics project coming up, and of course I haven't even started it yet let alone met my group...or even gone to class in the last week and a half we had it. I go onto the econ site after busting in the 100k to some retarded fishy donkeys obv to check who my group is and email about getting together this week and work on it, and as I am checking my course emails I see one from the project TA titled "Final project due dates." I open it, and lo and behold I have an 8 page paper on borrowing money and the Fed and all this econ shit outlined for me to do by 1:25pm EST tomorrow. I still have yet to read 4 chapters in my book equalling about 200 pages and still have to do the research and the required readings for the project, let alone actually type it, so I am basically fucked. On the verge of sick life tilt at this point.
I get to reading and finish that while I eat dinner in about 2.5-3 hours, then I get online and read the articles for about another hour, and when I am done that I email my group members telling them the situation. I told them that I would just do the project and put their names on it if they pay me back for the time somehow, and if they did it already then I'd try and make it up to them for the credit.
I get to doing the research, looking up all of these cool and incredibly fascinating articles based around econ and the Fed basically controlling the fucking world, and 2 hours into said research I check my facebook to see if one of them got back to me. I was incredibly relieved to see that I had a new message waiting in my inbox, and when I open it I read these wonderful words:
Hey ya im working on the project now actually and have it pretty much finished, i think they gave me the wrong email address for you cause i tried to email you and some other person emailed back saying they are not in the class, so im sorry about the confusion, since you did make an effort though, i think you should certainly get credit for it, so if you want i can just say that we split the work on the project. Let me know if thats okay with you.
Fucking right it's okay with me! So apparently I am off the hook for doing this project at all and I still get credit for the whole thing, saving 20% of my overall grade (which I needed badly because I have missed like half the quizzes and homeworks already). I only wasted a few hours and even got to catch up in the class by reading the textbook! So happy I didn't have to stay up all night and do that shit myself...luckboxing FTW!

Besides playing poker I enjoy playing billiards and I used to play Starcraft back in the day(I started at the end of 1.07 patch). I obviously found out about LP through TL. I started playing poker just to earn some spending money each month. I just 12 table FR NL10 and take shots at NL25 when I get bored of NL10. I probably shouldn't take shots underrolled since they have not gone very well, I usually lose 1-2 buyins to standard hands and have to go back down. anyhow......here are my December poker results so far
So recently I've got a few advices from a NL200 player thats also a LP member,he told me that he thinks it might be good if I toned down on tables and focus more on each hand,Neilly told me like a month ago to play 20 tables that it will make me alot of money,but guess what.
It didn't,I was actually pretty much broke even after a whole month and it really sucked ass...
So I decided to give it a shot only 8 tabling since the start of this month you know 4 on 4 / overlap,and it basically worked out fucking great,as the thread title says I'm destroying and demolishing the games at a pretty solid winrate...
I've been lurking here for about a year. I've found the best way to improve on anything is to simply immerse yourself in the community, so here I am.
I've been attempting to play nl2 for almost a year, but so far I'm down one $50 roll. I took a break for a while and I've started playing again. I feel that I've improved a lot just from reading threads here. The one big hole in my game is when I miss a flop and my cbet is called. Other than that I haven't found any major leaks in my game (other than maybe playing my hand too obviously but at nl2 I don't think that's a major problem). I'm down about 3 buyins from simply running bad.
