I played a session of heads up. It was pretty short but I ran like Ben Johnson in 1988. I honestly felt pretty bad for the guy. He was pretty tilted by the end, but to his credit, he never trash talked or got too upset. He stayed pretty long too...if I were in his shoes I would've left after the first two buyins.
Here are the big hands where I luckboxed like a true pro:
All in all I thought he was extremely aggressive post-flop, constantly c-betting and almost always following with a double barrel. He also jumped on any passivity in 3-bet pots and shoved a few times when he sensed I was weak. So other than the occasional 3/4bet I pretty much just waited for a hand. Without catching the cards this would've been pretty tough.
Quest for Supernova - 43~k vpps in 1 monthby TianYuan, December 02
So, I've decided: I need to get supernova before the month is over. That means playing about 5k hands a day (ok so technically I don't have to, I can get away with a bit less, but there'll probably be days - ie christmas - when I don't feel like playing, so 5k sounds good), which when 9 tabling translates to about 6 hours of poker a day.
Playing NL100 until I get all my money from rednines onto stars (although I'm kinda rolled for 1/2 again on stars, despite cashing out 2k ).
How different is 1/2 on stars from .5/1 btw? I kinda need to 9 table at least to do this, and 9 tabling .5/1 on stars is pretty easy (it feels so relaxing compared to getting 3bet every hand when playing 1/2 on prima).
Got a graph of all the hands I've played on stars. This is a graph of when I started playing through this August when I got my new comp. pretty sweet rake there...
Played a pretty sick home game last night with YoMeR and milkman as well as doomer and mezmerizeplz who were in town for Sam's birthday. Always good to meet some new LPers and degen it up a bit. I think the highlight of the night was a 4way all-in preflop Elky hold-em hand, in which doomer's AA somehow held on BOTH boards to sweep the 1000+ BB pot. sick life
So i have been around the poker comunity from some time now never took it seriously just played for fun to relex etc... i have probably lost about 6-7 bankrolls about 50-100 each of my money i lost about $50.
Anyway today i decided that its enough , i wanna start playing more seriously and don't waste my time any more i m writing this blog because i will be better motivated and disciplined.
I have made some milestones that i what do achive
My goal is to become a winning player at NL$600 within
a year.
My starting bankroll is $40 i will move up the limits with 25 buy-ins
1st Milestone is to play at least 5k hands per week
i m gonna start at NL$2 and go from there
i will be spending 1 hour every day studying taking notes etc.. not just reading ,trying new things etc...
and 30 min analyzing my game and posting hands etc...
i will update my blog every 3 days on my progress
p.s if anyone what's to help me with my game please post here
Banned On Starts, Again.....by mrpav.com, December 02
I gave myself a 1 week ban again on stars, i have my important exams until Sat, Dec 8, 2007, and i need to have studying as my top priority at the moment. Been doing real well on 100nl, very happy with my result. I really don't like posting my wins anymore, but i'll do it this one time, its about 4.4BB/100 over 50k hands 6max, which is not too bad. Going to try to play around 3-4k hands every day after the 8th of Dec so i can make my milestone 300k bonus. I have a nursing research exam this Wed and Pathology this coming Sat, and the following week after that i have nursing theory on Friday, so wish me luck, since i want to do my very best of those 3.
If i were you i wouldn't play Tom in NBA 2K7, he's such a luckbox its not even funny. I was kicking his ass the whole game and then he start nailing every 3 pointer he takes. I had the Laker's and Kobe Briant 3 point percentage was 1/12, and on my bro's team Ray Allen scored 11/14 3 pointers in the last 6 minutes, which was bullshit. Final score was 53/52 for him, LUCKBOX LUCKBOX LUCKBOX!!!! Oh buy the way, were mostly guys on LP, so try to do a little Christmas shopping early for our loved ones, since I leave all my shopping to the day before X-mas.
I would now like to show you a video from the shopping network, who the hell would buy this, especially for $25. Its a toy for a cat, that poor salesman. Anyways, Enjoy!
As u know i "retired" from serious poker.
I concentrate a bit more on MMA
Had 3 hard Training fights on Saturday.
As almost always ... it was fun but painful
In the second fight i got caught in an Armbar ( Jiu-gatame) ... i tried to escape but dindt suceed
couldt tap out fast enough to avoid my ellbow joint getting hurt.
Was a really nasty cracking sound and for a second i thought its broken T_T but then i realized its no serious injury
Think it will be 100% heald in about 3-4 days.
pretty painfull right now but i could move my arm
So its good.
I cant deney though that i am not too happy about the fact that i get injured almost every training fight lately T_T
I love MMA though and will continue as long as i can.
I also heared my idol GSP will fight Matt Hughes for the 3rd time UFC 79 on 29.December ( therefore the NEWs and NOtes TOPIC)
I hope he kicks Huges ass again and then wins the title rematch vs Serra.
Liddell vs Silva also could be a very interesting fight since both ex LH champions who were suppoused to be the best 205 fighters in the world come from 2 straight loses
( Silva got KOed by CroCop and Henderson // Liddell got KOed by Rampage and lost descision to Jardine)
Pokerwise :
As i said i just played a few games for fun.
here are the stats ( i ll edit them when something changes):
Poker HU stats
got 214th in a 1400 people 5$ freezout .... TOP 150 paid
and lost 5 $ in HU cashgame ...
+ 14 $ or something overall ...dont really know
GL ALL
EDIT :
I have a question about draw play in HU sngs.
When i lose its mostly due to flush draws not hitting giving me a 0,8 : 2,2 chip disadvantage. Then i must play more agressive with medium hands and run into monsters ... I realized u have to play draws weaker than in cashgame
since u cant reload when u miss which will be like 70% of the time T_T
so everytime u dont hit your draw u not only lose some chips , you also get a significant disadvantage in follwing hands of the game.
You have to play marginal hands more agressive than u would with a 1:1 chip ratio.
U can hardly fold medium hands anymore T_T ( otherwise u get pushed around all the time.)

Some bitch broke my heartby CrownRoyal, December 02
Alright so first of all, friday afternoon I buy a keg for my friend's birthday party and he buys one too, sweet, fuckloads of people and beer.
Second of all, it's tradition to float any beer that is left in the kegs the next day, so yesterday all of my very close friends and I wake up, eat some food, and start to play beer pong, flipcup, and a game I call sit around the keg and pass the tap til it's gone.
Ok, fast forward to 10pm and i'm completely obliteratedly drunk, the kegs are finished and I'm so fucked up. We go to this other guys house for a party that he didnt even know about rofl, and I go on a few adventures with my friends in my truck because no one would let me or any of my friends drive (wtf? seriously)
Eventually I make it home, and wtf, two of my other friends are at my house playing rock band and I'm not even there, sweet, so I sit down and start playing with them and I start talking to this girl who happens to be my neighbor. I can't help but to notice this other guy's truck is at her house and we're supposed to be hooking up. She tells me that she's with him now and that's why she has been acting like she has. I gave her a standard "Go fuck yourself, I hope you die" text message. Finished playing rock band, logged on pokerstars and proceeded to dump god only knows how much cash, I have 500 dollars in my account right now, I've never played drunk poker but I was literally life tilted and just wanted to fucking hurt someone as bad as I felt.
Poker obviously didn't work and so I call her, we talk for a couple hours and pretty much I come out looking like a big pussy and she won which is bullshit, but whatever. Anyways, I'm still drunk as im typing this at 1130 in the AM which I think is a beautiful thing.
Hopefully I'm gonna take down the sunday 100g today which would probably be the only thing that could ever soothe my pains of the moment.
So I've been pretty much crushing NL2 in the past week and had myself up to a little under $200, so I decided I'd take a shot at NL10. Decided to skip 5 because I didn't feel like it added anything last time I was moving through stakes. Anyway, NL10 is an entirely different ballgame from the robot-like 16-tabling that is NL2.
This guy has a bunch of my money too. He's one of the regulars who is there multi-tabling with me, so I've been trying to treat him like a real player who's capable of realizing my betting patterns and raising my c-bets with air. So far that hasn't been the case: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/326821 http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/326823
I've also made my share of bad plays, so I don't want to shed all of the blame: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/326819 - I've been just 4-bet shoving in situations like this when I have QQ-AA or AK, but I'm not sure if that's the best play. At the very least I don't think QQ should be a shove in this situation, even though I'm OOP. Thoughts? http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/326824 - I'm a bad player. I don't think there's a hand that flats the flop, open-shoves the turn that I'm ahead of.
There's a few more like that, but its the same basic ideas - bad shoves or over-valuing TPTK.
So I've dropped back down to NL2 and continue to run at 20+ PTBB/100. It's like candy from a baby. Except its money. I think I'm just going to spend all of December 16-tabling NL2, or playing until I have 20+ buy-ins for NL10. Hopefully it won't be that long.
Well the last couple weeks really.
Taking only 9 credits I had my cruise control on until last 2-3 weeks ago when shit started pile up. For last week I've only had 3hr/sleep on avg. but finally got my shit done 2 of the toughest papers along with presentations and other shit. I just finished my last paper 4 hours ago
I only played ~25 hours of poker which is disgusting, but 3K profit so ship it
last but not least i got to play some guitar today and decided to record this
the only song I seem to wanna play on guitar
i might redo it with electric and some effects.
First time at a casino...by sirracksalot, December 02
So today was the first time Ive been to a casino. I went to Morongo over near Palm Springs with syntax, xlilkobex8, hubmaster, and darkdevildog. Ive heard numerous stories about how bad live play is but now i have seen it with my own eyes. I played a 1/3 table with a 100 max buyin (it was their lowest buy-in and im no baller). Now, Im not the sharpest tool in the shed, but damn, i dont notice people spewing quite so many chips on retarded draws online (maybe i need to open my eyes a little lol). Thinking on it that might not be true, seeing as how this is usually how i win. While i certainly dont/didnt play like a champ, i didnt get much in the way of cards and i got some pretty ugly bad beats like AA not holding against 35s and KK not holding against T6s. And so i busted out :D. Busted out after 4 1/2 hours of playing. Pretty nerve wracking at first, but after a few hours of playing i became more comfortable. Hopefully next time ill have more experience under my belt and a bigger br to play with. April here i come!
After my short heater I proudly announced to a friend that statistically I was still likely to run average and that the heater money was a gift, to which I owed nobody. Lee clearly wished me to learn some humility as I immediately spiraled into a downswing that lasted 40,000 hands and cost me 24 buyins. I don't tilt much but when I'm down I tend to keep playing as long as I feel I'm playing well. So I was pulling 10,000 hand sessions and they were not pretty. At the end I just felt so totally disgusted that I couldn't even sleep being that far down and had to go play some more.
Anyway, it eventually came to an end and I'm rebuilding a bankroll. This experience taught me two things.
Firstly, the coin always being fifty fifty is a fallacy. The coin lands on whatever Lee wants it to land on so if he gives you money you better damn well be grateful. Because he's watching you.
Secondly, poker is evil and will break my spirit. I've had downswings before but this one was the first that really hit me. And it hurt.

The Senators have lost 6 in a row and is without one of their top defensive defenseman in Volchenkov for a month.
Their next game is on the road in Tampa Bay on Tuesday at 7:30pm EST. Anyone willing to give me 1.5:1 for my $50 on the Sens to win before shootout?
Basically you're putting $75 on the Lightning to win $50.
just a few more. in the 3rd picture you can see the RTS view. the view blurrs and changes to overhead and you have the feel and interface of an RTS, it´s pretty cool.
