Yeah, the acting in some older movies can be an acquired taste. It's not that it's bad, it's just very different. You once said to me you had planned to watch Stalker and were looking forward to it because you heard it was an amazing intellectual movie or something, and it's by the same director and about just as good. Just sayin'.

gone girl great movie but disappointing ending
The biggest Rockets, Sixers, and Grizzlies fan you will ever meet!
I recently watched on netflix, did it with my kids but was pleasently surprised of how good it was. From the animation to the story and the characters, I liked it a lot, would watch again.
