That easily was the sickest rail ever, man I never cheered that much and was SOOOO nervous every hands Duhamel jeopardized his stacks, for the record I believe him and Cheong were the 2 best players at the table, and john totally owned Cheong in the last hour, which was absolutely beautiful to watch!

for the record I don't see any update but Duhamel has ~188k stack vs Racener's 32k stack for the HU, so he's quite favorite, also implying that he's the better player, Racener played like a HUGE NIT all day and somehow managed to make it there

The result so far is really bad, it's a fail for poker if Duhamel winns - he's a terrible player (IMO) and certainly not a good representative for poker (NOTE: IMO). *sigh*

yeah he's so bad except he was probably the best player at the table with cheong being 2nd imo, I heard Jarvis was a really good player too but he was shortstack and kinda misplayed his stack size

and a big lol @ you if you thought mizrachi was the best player on there

I understand ur super stoked that u got a fat score off him, but are you really gonna try and make out like Mizrachi (along with Cheong) werent the best players at the table?

How much did you cheer when he put all his money in drawing to like 10 outs vs Affleck and got there?

I believe most players who believe mizrachi played better than duhamel at the FT is probably not so good at poker, I myself was thinking mizrachi wasn't that bad (even tho not as good as cheong or duhamel)... giggy firmly told me mizrachi was one of the weak spot at the table and no offense but I'll take his opinion about other players more than you byrnesam, also Cheong after eliminated by Duhamel said he would come and rail john with us cuz he's totally rooting for him, he agrees that he was better than mizrachi obv

mizrachi isn't a BAD player, but he's not as good as duhamel.... yeah his hand vs Matt Affleck was kind of a blunder, but wtf if affleck had been on that table he probably would have been the best player on there, Duhamel doesn't play perfect, nobody does but judging him over 1 single hand, that's pretty fuckin stupid

I didn't see quite as much as you Fayth obviously, but I absolutely loved Cheong's play at the final table, the amount of walks he got and the folds to his 3/4bets was just sick... As I said I didn't see as much as you, I could be wrong but I believe he was the toughest player at the table, with Duhamel second. (Canada biased unfortunately fayth=])

Duhamel only has 54% of his action, but who cares I'm guessing he has 100% of his sponsership action - lol=]

I dont see what the media has to do with results - Mizrachi isnt the one working off promotion of short term results. Im sure all of Dennis Phillips supporters thought he was the best player at the final table and that he played great when he was there.

Anyway, enjoy your moment. Hope Duhamel banks a lot off sponsorship over the next few years. Im going to go out on a limb and say that Mizrachi will continue his tournament success over the next few years, and people will remember his 2010 WSOP accomplishments long after Duhamel has made his appearances on HSP/PAD/Big Game, lost a few hundred thousand, busted next years main event and faded into obscurity.

Also, he looks like a weasel.

lol yeah ok mizrachi ran good in a few big tournaments so he's automatically much better than john who has probably played 10 times more hands and just grinded his bankroll up, you seriously overestimate him cuz of his exposure, I'm basing my thoughts out of how they play their hands, you on the other hand cannot do that cuz u're not quite at that level

Im sure youre basing it ONLY on how Duhamel has played his hands, it probably has nothing to do with the 5% and him being your friend

he has impressive stats but wtf we all know about variance. I know nothing about his abilities in any other game keep in mind only talking about NLHE

Ironically, it is the likes of me - the microstakes railbird no clue fan boy who you would want supporting the potential main event champion.
Duhamel is just another pointless blip on the list of WSOP ME champions.

If you wanted to rank him with the most exciting main event champions he would be in there with Peter Eastgate and Jerry Yang.

At least everyone will remember him as the kid who made the horrendous play against Affleck to get to the FT.

Enjoy your nerdy circle jerk, you all seem like douche bags.

hes probably just running super good, you know... variance.

also byrnesam you have absolutely no idea how massive the MTT variance can be, mizrachi would have played this exact same way all his life and be break even or barely up or even stuck but instead he luckboxed a few hands and is up 10millions

duhamel grinded his way up in cash games online to several hundreds of thousands, it really isn't even close

I'm sure we would put takechip besides mizrachi and the average random microstake player would say OOH MIZRACHI IS MUCH BETTER when it's pretty fucking obvious to any pro poker player that takechip >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> mizrachi.... yet mizrachi has won more money

Oh common, you CANNOT compare hellmuth's achievements with poker today. It's true that Hellmuth has 11 bracelets but they are from A DIFFERENT TIME. 7 of the 11 bracelets were won before 2001 and 5 of them were won before 1993. Back then poker in general and WSOP in particular was NOTHING like today, fields were much smaler and only a few knew wtf they were doing. Hellmuth is living of passed times and we all know it - don't bring his results into this.

To give you an example in 1989 when Hellmuth won the main event there were ONLY 178 runners - you can NEVER compare a main event win back then with a win nowdays!

i probably will catch flack for this, but just going by hunch that I'd rather have mizrachi's action in WSOP ME fields than Duhamel. But Duhamel for most other big buyin MTTs. I think people underestimate the ability to play vs fishes as compared to pure NLHE skill.

edit: oh and grats on the score fayth. too bad we only were able to play like 5 rounds together =[ though i still cant believe you didnt think your jack's weren't 100% good against galfond after he tanked for 11 minutes lool

So you'd rather take the action of someone who can slaughter fishes than someone who can slaughter fishes and win against better, more competent players? Seems kinda odd
