i think it's funny that people like to get outraged about jewish jokes on poker forums (esp. 2+2) because a lot of jewish people play poker

yet i constantly see "black" jokes fly around all the forums, and even particularly directed at me (despite/because of the fact that i am pale yet part black) and nobody ever seems to care about that.

i'm sure this has a lot to do with A) most people with the means/ambition to become good at online poker (owning a computer, disposable income, gambling culture, etc.) grow up in areas that are not particularly diverse beyond differences in christian/jewish religious denominations.

the fact that i am the constant target of black jokes here, and was banned for saying people who think they need ADD meds to pass school / succeed are "weak" (please no ban this time) sans any horrific pictures of poor ADD afflicted individuals struggling to pass their math courses, is a little bit of a personal outrage, to say the least.

I don't see how anyone would consider this an ethnic issue. Looks like a matter of making light of an extremely serious situation - one that's unfortunately tormenting the lives of millions of people. There's nothing funny about people's flesh being torn apart by shrapnel, out of blue, when they're walking with friends down the street...nothing funny about someone being overcome by fear or grief when something unthinkably horrific shakes the core of their reality - like when their loved ones are slaughtered, murdered, erased at random by cold blooded idiots.

Im in the "someone saw a dramatic pic and added dramatic text"-camp. Looks fun to me. But as someone might (or might not) have said here, it's possible to post it in such a way to make people hate you for it even if they laughed at the picture.

First of all this isnt israel, its either palestine or another arab country. Second I see why this might be funny to someone, because usually what makes us laugh the most are horrible things, its sad but true. Personally its a bit much for me with the dead bodies laying around but meh I dont think its that outrageous .
