u guys can laugh all u want, i was doing great with 100bi rule at the end of 08, then i needed to come up with a large sum of $ and tried to run it up, unfortunately i failed and had to restart

and 100bi is definitately not stupid, in fact, one of LP's very best players RadioHeads was working on getting me to play on 100bi well over a year ago, my ego and ignorance for how poker is a business kept me from following his advice.

after some time, i've come to realize he was 100% correct, and its the ONLY way that I will be able to achieve success in poker.

How do you even forsee yoruself keeping to that when you havent been able to keep a "standard" BR scheme?

100bi is the only rule i can set for myself and follow

if i do 50, then i let myself do 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, 4, busto

100bi is safegaurd, and hell, everyone that reads my blog knows i have nothing but time, i might as well just grind and have fun and do it right while i have the opportunity, otherwise i risk putting myself into the bust/semi-bust mode that i was in for the last few months of last year

50 BI is much more realistic. 100 is insane unless you're living off the money and playing super high stakes. 50 BI is plenty up through 2/4. Just STICK TO IT. That's all that matters.

The reason why you aren't ballin right now is because you haven't taken a shot in quite a while. You need to make a run for at least 600 NL.

Having very strict BR management is beyond stupid below high stakes. Especially if you don't need it for rent/etc.

wtf do people think micro is exempted from br management? it's a solved problem imo, br management + solid fundamentals = never go broke
ppl who overestimate their skill will get burned over time, they get a good run move up too fast, develop a giant ego, then hit a downswing at the highest limit they play = busto.

25-30bi is not a must. but it makes your journey less stressful knowing ur doing the fundamentally sound thing.
