Well, noone has been posting here, but Ill at least provide a little update..

A little over a week ago, I had 191point lineup - won around $550 with that. (220 took 1st in moonshot, 100k to first in $3) Whats pretty sick about that, I had 2 players give me 0 points.

Ive been having a ton of success in Head-To-Heads ... SUPER FISHY, jesus.

Had a couple other hundred dollar days, nothing huge tho.. Still waiting to bink 1 decent GPP

Played 2 line ups today (6/24)

http://puu.sh/iBWSV/2f20d37f4d.png (Line up 2)

Feel like I'm starting to get a feel for this.. Pitchers have been my kryponite so far... Other day Pineda alone costed me probably ~$500 (still cashed even tho he got me -15points) Had I not swapped him out and kept original pitcher I had it woudlve been at least $4k score)

Nobody is posting because NBA is over, NHL is over, and NFL hasn't started yet. MLB is terrible, so you're probably on your own for awhile.

Some of us play UFC fantasy on DraftKings every week, but it's usually discussed in the MMA threads.

I feel like MLB is most profitable out of all sports honestly. I could be wrong, but Basketball is really just broken down to minutes played. More Minutes=More Points. Baseball requires more homework, but seems as if only a very small group actually know what they are going as far as game theory is concerned. Who knows. I was never a baseball fan, but wanted to jump on the DFS wagon before everyone started becoming good at it. I haven't played MMA yet. UFC fan for sure tho, I guess I only dodge because of the small-ish player fields, and small-er prize pools. I think once I get a solid BR at MLB I may swing over to the MMA side of things and take a few pokes at it.

even though it's not my favorite sport i would probably keep trying MLB if i had any free time at all to do halfway decent research, i just think with my current schedule there's no way i have time to be competitive.

i don't know about GPP's, but for cashgames i think there's zero chance MLB is more profitable than NBA.

BigRed, In the head to heads that I've been playing in, the average amount of points I come across on DK is like 90.. I have not put in huge volume yet because I've been playing a lot more GPP's than cash. But - Of the 60 Head to Heads I've played over the last week, Ive probably only lost 5?

Im not sure how much time you think you need to put into it, but I assure you, you could probably have a pretty solid line up in about an hours time.

i mean, i'm sure you know this but mentioning any kind of sample winrate in DFS for 1 week is pretty pointless since you can enter multiple lineups on the same night, winning 55 out of 60 nights is very different from winning 55/60 games. i had stretches of 400+ games where i won >85% while my true winrate was like ~59-60% for NBA.

i don't know how much time i need to put into it, currently i don't really have 1 hr/day to spare anyway, although i imagine it would take more than that, at least for me. when i was doing NBA i usually put in 1-2 hrs/day, at least after i started taking it somewhat seriously, and everyone says MLB is more work. i'm also less familiar with baseball than basketball, so there's that.

The NHL 2015-2016 season started a couple days ago, but today is the REAL season opening in my opinion, as the Anaheim Ducks play their first game of the season against the San Jose Sharks in San Jose.

Since the season just started, I can't be confident in any of my picks, but here's what I have for today:

C Claude Giroux Phi@Fla 1.5 $6,800
C Evgeny Kuznetsov NJ@Was 0.0 $5,200
W T.J. Oshie NJ@Was 0.0 $5,000
W Alex Tanguay Dal@Col 1.0 $4,200
W Jakub Voracek Phi@Fla 2.0 $6,300
D John Carlson NJ@Was 0.0 $6,200
D Duncan Keith NYI@Chi 4.0 $5,000
G Braden Holtby NJ@Was 0.0 $8,300
UTIL R.J. Umberger Phi@Fla 5.5 $2,900

just following up on this, it looks like this article + the FanDuel rep's comments shows what i think was intuitively obvious before, which is that baseball is a tougher DFS sport to beat than NBA/NFL.

just to be clear i think it's a sloppy article in that it sort of attempts to paint all DFS sports and game formats with one broad brush, but the data should clear up any nonsense about baseball being the easiest sport to beat.

i'm surprised nobody has posted any NFL lineups here yet, i think i'll do my first one tomorrow if i wake up in time.

If we compare this season's teams to last season's teams, there were multiple upsets and a bunch of goals scored today.

I'm gonna take the next 5 days off from fantasy and see which teams are playing better this season with their new players.

Guys - 2 sites to go to.
HUGE Overlays, just saw the thread, been learning and getting into DFS this week, pretty amazing.

well if u guys don't know theres fantasydraft.com with huge overlays and starsdraft.com with huge overlays. 100k+, also looking for more sites with these kinda overlays, lmk

bigredhoss   Cook Islands. Oct 12 2015 01:19. Posts 8648

is there some kind of overlay tracker tool or do you just monitor the the entries for the bigger GPPs? i seem to recall seeing some site that tracked it but i can't remember what it was and it's not showing up on the first few google results.

i mostly play 50/50s so i'm not sure it's worth depositing at another site if i'm only entering when there's significant overlay. two different scoring systems and player prices are enough to keep track of at FD/DK and i can still get all the 50/50 and HU action i want there even at low buyins. thanks for the headsup though Ryan !

I didn't know anyone still used it and the hosting fees (mostly for the database) was getting expensive, sorry :x

I can try to think of a solution/compromise

didn't know who that was at first, then listened to a few minutes and found out it's redgrape i remember railing his 25/50 HU action, he always seemed like a very smart guy. seemed to have a really balanced, theory-driven approach before it became all the rage, kind of reminded me of sauce in some ways.

had my first losing NFL week. made one large mistake, passed on deandre hopkins on thursday lineups. figured he was a bit too pricy on FD and it's always nice to leave roster open in case of injury news on DK, but the value was too good to pass up and got punished for it.

GL this week guys

what's your cash game ROI for NFL Daut? have all the TV ads had a noticeable effect on game's softness from last year? are you more inclined to make multiple lineups than in basketball to offset variance since there's basically 1 slate/week?

i haven't looked at researching NFL DFS yet but it seems like it should have more whales than any other sport. but it seems easier to predict NBA lineups that will have above-average median scores, so i'm not sure how much the NFL fish money would translate in terms of cash game edges.

Bleh... 2 of my most expensive guys scored very few points, and didn't live up to their price tag (Pavelski and Plekanec)... However, everyone else on my team did great, so that helped me get a decent finish.

I finished #243 out of 19,158 people, which amounts to winning 4x my entry. It's basically a min-cash in my eyes, as is everything under $50. I had a couple other min-cashes earlier this week, so hopefully I can learn more about the East Coast teams and start putting some big cashes together.
