2015 Cerrone 2.0 would kick Hendos ass with no problem, the guy has become a world beater since the skinny striker he once was before.

Well I think cocaine is everywhere these days. I never have encountered anyone I thought has benefited from taking cocaine. It is making people more selfish, self-centered in a bad way. Overusing it for years it has very bad effects (a girlfriend of mine lost most of her teeths and nasal septum and she is smart and good looking). People die because of it and a lot of people lose focus for whats important to their life and hang around the wrong people. I smoked a shitload of weed past years but I never touched coke. When I was at EPT Monte Carlo like in 2007 or so I met a guy who was in his 40s and used to be a US Rock star. He played recreational poker and we had a nice talk, he admitted to using coke for like 20 years or whatever. As he was touring around he obviously had plenty friends and bros who did cocaine as well, then he told me in all these years he met ONE person who was not negatively influenced by the drug and stayed true to his character. I've been to clubs where like a 125 pound nerd with NOTHING physically to show for and he was trying to start a fight with us. He really believed he was like the Hulk version of Jon Jones and could kill everyone in that club, so full of coke. Had another of these guys pull out a knife in a bar and try to scare ppl, he was like 110 pounds or so and completely delusional. Look at Whitney Huston and others, it is everywhere, yet a BIG problem. Show me someone who was found in their hotel room dead due to overdosing weed. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Show me a person with all the talent in the world that started hanging around the wrong crowd, doing more and more coke and I will show you a loser somewhere down the road.

Exactly.

While cocaine is bad, he didn't get popped for steroids or anything like that. Hell, even a pussy drug like marijuana would've gotten him a way worse penalty than cocaine.

IMO, this is actually great for Jones' image in the long run. People will actually be more interested in him more than ever, and even haters will be following his road to recovery and hope to see him fight again. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw official UFC Embedded videos of Jones' stay in rehab; available only* to UFC Fight Pass subscribers, of course. Also, this will be a good story for the UFC to use in the next Road to the Octagon series for Jones' next fight.

Na, I don't think so... It won't stop you from putting money on Siver, right Minsk?

Conor said he'll finish Siver within 2 minutes of the first round, but I think this fight will get out of the first round. Siver is aggressive, but I assume he'll be more cautious here since he saw what happened to an overly aggressive Marcus Brimage, and this is a 5-round fight and he doesn't want to empty his gas tank too soon.

The only bet I have on UFC FN 59 thus far is McGregor/Siver o1.5 +145 $30.

Agree with Daut that the positive test by Jones long before the fight is not a big deal at all

Also agree with FishEye that coke is basically a really horrible drug to use with any sort of regularity. I've been around it plenty. Have only snorted it twice and will never do it again. I have on occasion put small amounts on my tongue/gums while drinking but it doesn't really do much for me these days.

I think doing a drug like Molly or cocaine on a rare, special occasion is OK but you just need to be aware there are still risks involved and just be responsible with it.

iirc there was a 30 for 30 on a young college basketball star named Len Bias who was a sure fire No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft and decided to celebrate his upcoming accomplishment by partying and doing some coke. His heart ended up reacting to the drug badly and he ended up dieing within the next day. Not sure if it was because of how much he did or some prexisiting heart condition he didnt know of.

Maybe not the best example of what I'm trying to say but basically do your research on whatever you decide to do and understand the risks involved

online bob is actually a pretty smart person, not at all like the creepy fucker that sits in the sofa telling me he does nasty shit to me when im asleep - pinball

This is the longview and I agree with your take, although there is also the chance he keeps fucking up and a real long term GOAT in the making is crushed. Anderson Silva's/Fedor/GSP's GOAT status' was so shortlived and for good reason, the sport is young, but Jones has a chance to put together a real Muhammad Ali like legacy. Not something fickle. Don't get me wrong, those other guys are great and all, but I don't think they are once in a generation types. Jones could be that guy. Weidman too though, imagine if he kept a title run at MW going for another 4-6 years - unlikely - but that would be fucking special. Murderers row coming up for him and a lot more prospects will always come through LW, WW, and MW divisions due to the general population of people weighing 165-210 pounds (pre-cut) being massively higher than FLW, BW, LHW, HW.

If anything my respect for Jones went up - the guy is seriously enjoying his bad guy status now haha
he was probably coked up when that brawl happened which is hilarious

I don't know, depends on if my feel tells me he can win or not. 9.5 odds is good, hes not a superchump and McGregor isn't a god by any means...I feel that skillwise hes nowhere near those odds, but I also feel the whole world wants him to lose. How much power does the whole world have? Does he have to lose because the world intends it?

I remember telling you a really long time ago to do some molly, glad you got around to it heh. Also go to better new years parties obv.

Zero fucks about Jones doing coke. But I do think its great he tries to play the whole wholesome Christian angle + the whole telling on people for smoking weed stuff.

"In the days before UFC 182, many reporters from various media outlets released some very entertaining profiles on the main event competitors, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. One man who wrote an excellent piece on Jones was Deadspin's Greg Howard. He discussed many aspects of Jones' life in and out of the cage, and believed that Jones is the best fighter we've ever seen. In response to today's news that Jones failed a drug test for cocaine metabolites in December and has voluntarily entered rehab, Howard posted a new article offering his take on the whole situation and the rumors that surrounded Jones' cocaine use:

This doesn't come out of nowhere. In reporting this story, I heard a lot of rumors about Jones's cocaine use, some of which went past what you'd expect of a rich young celebrity in 2014. I left those alone partly because it's a long way from rumor to solid fact and partly because, as evidenced by his success, whatever he's been up to late at night hasn't hurt his athletic performance much. This is worth noting just by way of saying that this is more likely than not something that actually could affect his career, as opposed to the result of one night's bad decision. Just a few minutes ago, I got this text from a source close to Jones: Can't believe it took this long for jon to pop on coke.

its likely jones has a very serious coke habit. if he is popping a month before the biggest fight of his life, then imagine how much he is probably using in the months when hes not training. rehab might be more than just PR fluff, it might be necessary.
