Down a couple of bi more in hold'em. Ran really bad tonight over just a few 100 hands which sucked, so I decided to switch to omaha since that had worked earlier today (was up like 3k, lost that in hold'em and then started this session). A bit of 5/10 and then I sat with a reg and some dude who seems to play high but so far I wasn't to impressed with at 2 tables of 10/20. The reg, who has a big ass blog in one of Sweden's biggest news papers and never gives me action requested HU with the other dude and I said that I'd accept that and leave if the other dude also wanted that. He didn't say anything so I started playing and newspaper-reg sat out and left. Also had another 5/10 table up.

I don't think I run THAT good, even though I was slightly more lucky then the other dude I think, but after a while I felt that I had him figured out pretty well and adjusted really good. Then some reg on 5/10 started tilting and all in all I made like 6-7k from this omaha session.

I'm so tilted I didn't realize until just today after working a 27 hour work session straight how insanely fucked i'm getting right now

I got put on some entry level tech job that a fucking pet rock could do. I got put on it because my current project hit a slowblock and all of my sites in the region i was working in were finished and as soon as i got home some dude quit and they wanted me to fill his spot on the retard wal-mart debit reader project because somehow in my company after working there for only six months i already have insane respect as a really good tech and all of the project coordinators want me to work for them. I got a really brief description of what i was gonna do and i said fuck it because i hated doing the mcdonalds project and i wanted to try to get away from it.

Anyways, I worked for 27 hours straight over the course of 8 stores and probably 8 hours of those driving and had been awake for 36+ hours straight all to make $400 wtfever I can make fucking $15 an hour at home making porn for the mom's against drunk driving society

on my old project in 27 hours of work i would have made like $2500 or more aodfja;jaf

At the end of day 1 at nl25 i was at 1260
I run omaha and drop to 900

play sngs and mtt's day two, get up to 1150
lose 150 playing omaha

start day 3, BR : $950 -

Say to myself "Im gonna crush omaha today, im so sick of variance crushing me, watch out!" and continue to drop another 150 before realizing I'm never going to win at omaha again or something

so im down around $700 +/- $100, and even from where i started 3 days ago (my PT3 doesnt track omaha but I've been crushing NL25 FR to make up for the loses, and now that I worked my way back to 1k even, I'm erasing omaha from my games list, or only playing it at super micro games (NL5 etc)

Lesson - Omahas variance is higher than any other game, i thought i was good at omaha, now im not to sure if im good at it or was running good in the past (although i've never had a run like this in omaha in my life)

Its good encouragement to stick to FR, thats where like 90% of my profits are from and some from $12 180 man turbos, although the turbos are also pretty high variance, I'm only going to play them 1 day a week for now on, seriously, with a mix of the $6 sng's which are really easy $85 at a time if you run alot of them and finish off the FT's well.

Meh, not bad though, if I were playing the way I used to play, the runs I had in omaha would have rolled me for sure and I would be sitting here busto, but the guide has saved me, as well as limit restrictions on pokerstars!

Theres been 1-2 times where I've been in the moment where in the past I would have just opened HU tables and tried to recoop loses, but now that I'm playing deeper rolled for my limits, I see no reason to ever take such a risk when the money will be flowing in easily most days of the week.

Alright, I suck, apparently I can't beat omaha and i give up trying to play it ever again

Their software is really, really starting to tilt me. It crashes like every hour, and inbetween crashes it is like the tables lose their connection to the server and I time out on 1/2 of my tables and on all of them I have to re-check post blinds like 4 times before it starts working again. Reeaaaallly starting to piss me off and I'm thinking about changing sites JUST because of this fuckin software :/ BTW if anyone has advice on how this might be fixed lemme know.. no I've never experienced anything like these problems at stars/ftp..

I'm wondering what people think about ftp rakeback vs stars VIP at my play level. I think its pretty solid that supernova > FTP, but if I'm going to platinum for atleast 6-8months out of the year.. wtf should I do? :D

I'm also curious if anyone has an opinion on softness of nl50-nl200 on cake vs stars or FTP

Then I played several SnGs on stars and cake poker.. the 3.40s that I used to pwn on stars - and 5$ ones on cake.. overall like 20-25 sngs

so um, i hope this reaches more than the average 3 reads a blogpost i get

i moved into an apartment on a lease as of this january 1 until dec 31 2009 with someone i had known fairly well via work for ~1.5 years was a good buddy to go out partying and stuff

being as naive as i am, i underestimated to what point his lifestyle had gone degen, but it was to the point anytime this person is present in the apartment, occupies the main room and uses various substances as he does not own a computer or really anything except a bed in his room, with various house guests over at various times also indulging in .. things.

i had basically no control over anything going on in the apartment, and to some fair amount i also had no control over even my own belongings which unless i kept under lock and key, things like alcohol and cigarettes were distributed freely; "community" was cited often as the reasoning and that "things will even out".

to non poker people, it sounds like, "just deal with it" when i'm in the next room trying to really play some good poker

i would like to hear your guys responses, am i completely just a stressed out freak, or is it reasonable that im having a lot of trouble remaining focused throughout?

i lasted about 1 week being extremely focused on poker, and in the next two weeks i was unable to really concentrate and quickly decided that it would be more +ev for my life and poker if i moved back with my parents and continued to pay the lease because fuck 475x10 months if its going to destroy this year of my life and do me more emotional and physical damage.

and here i am, back home, i already feel more peaceful, almost ready to resume poker

am i overreacting? am i placing blame on outside environmental cause when its really my own stress as a result of poker and other life issues? am i being reasonable to believe that i cannot exist in that environment?

for the record, in january i played way way less than normal, something like 50-60k hands and i basically broke even at nl100. i certainly have improvements to make in my game but rl completely took priority over poker this month uncontrollably.

so i finally tried skiing (usually we go on these trips and i just stay in and get drunk all day)..........my buddies thought itd be funny to put me on the intermediate course.

usually my friend amanda and I are in charge of food(mostly her as i am not even close to her cooking abilities). every time our group of friends go on big trips we cook up a fabulous gourmet meal. this year we ended up doing the obama inauguration duck course, steaks, and all kinds of goodies. everything turned out fantastic! between you and i, i think the secret to making food taste good is to get everyone drunk on cheap wine before food is served(never fails!).

for the most part this weekend was mostly drinking, eating, hot tubbing, little skiing, and more drinking. there are stories from this trip i wish i could share, unfortunately im being carefully observed by a little birdie and cannot divulge such information at this time.

played 0 poker up until yesterday. played around 600 hands of PLO100 and i'm starting to rediscover a lot of things i stopped doing that used to yield huge profits for me last year. im constantly forgetting the downside of megatabling and im thinking about writing out post-its of rules when playing more than 16 tables on my desk.

-obviously on turn we can eliminate all sets, top 2 or two pair is very unlikely as both sets and two pair are going to play it aggressive on flop(i just cant see lune calling flop with those hands). i check turn cuz lune's range could be q,j,9,x also with sucker hearts and theres a pretty big likelihood that he has nut hearts too. he has the potential of betting pot without nut hearts on the river so im calling this quite often.

wut if i bet like 20-40 on turn.......i might be paying off or i might be saving myself a little money
since im not really all that scared of board pairing.......i check since if he does make straight i can value on a straight or lesser flush(via either him trying to value his small flush or bluff).

as u can see i pay off nut hearts which made complete sense of the flop flat call. this happens quite often in omaha, but i made the call on river cuz im beating ever hand except 1 and also it was a judgment call based on all the previous bluffs he's tried to pull on me that i've pwned him on. would appreciate input on different lines you would take here......

this weekend was shit load of fun and definitely not looking forward to playing this week as i'm still tired and mobility in the lower portion of my body is limited. sunday is superbowl and im having a little party and also my birthday so i really don't feel like putting in hardcore sessions til then but think ive given myself way too much time off so im going to make a conscious effort to put in some real sessions.

My uncle knows I like to game so for xmas he hooked me up with 3 new games: Fall Out 3, Gears of War 1, and Left 4 Dead. So far GOW has by far taken the cake as the best new game. It's the only new game I've REALLY liked and played through till the end since COD4 Modern warfare. I can't wait till GOW2 comes out for windows vista.

After I finished that I tried L4D and was hugely disappointed. Maybe it's more fun online with 3 friends but overall it felt like a childish shooter that was insanely repetitive with no story line. Yeah, it's cool the first time the horde comes after you or you battle a witch and so on, but after that it's all the same thing over and over again - just run through the streets or a building and kill a shit load of zombies who aren't that hard to fight and even if they do start to whoop you somehow you don't die.

I guess I'm trying to say that I played L4D 2 times and don't forsee playing it again, ever.

So I moved on to Fall Out 3. I was excited since it had all these "best in show" awards quoted on the box. The thing is that I really hate RPG's cause I like to be in control during the action, and I like my skill in that point to count. I don't like when a battle suddenly becomes a turn based thing where we each choose a spell and then cast or some shit. I don't like it when it's all about your level or items. I like it when you can still stand up to tougher guys if you have enough skill, and if you level up and get good items the tough guys are just easier to beat.

The only RPG I like is Zelda, cause while you build up items and skills and hearts to make urself stronger and so on, you still can choose to do a FPS type of thing when shooting and you have full control of the sword fighting. Zelda is head and shoulders above everything else though.

Anyway, I started FO3 and it definitely had an interesting story line. A bit too overkill on the character creation (you can pick down to the type of chin you want) and I kinda rushed through assigning my SPECIAL points, but it started off well. Once I got out of the vault I was excited because I LOVE huge landscapes and freedom to do whatever the hell you want. So they've nailed it on that so far. And I do like the way they've set up lock picking and hacking - it's not just click a button to pick the lock, but very interactive and I like that.

But the one fail is the shooting. I love me a good FPS and I was hoping that FO3 was gonna mix that in, but right now it seems mediocre. Maybe when I get better guns or when I get higher skills it won't be so annoying, but right now the gun fights are really weak. First, everyone takes a million bullets to die. Second, in comparison to GOW everyone seems so stupid. No use of cover or strategy to get you, they just kinda run through the open, stand right in front of you and keep shooting. And third, the aimer sux and even when you have it right on them it misses all the damn time. They seem to want me to use this VATS system which is like their version of old school RPG turn based shit, where everything freezes and the I click on which body part I want to shoot and it tells me what % chance I have of hitting, then I say go and it starts a cinematic where I shoot, the other guy shoots back, I shoot again and so on till all the shots I queued up are done, then it goes back to first person. As far as RPG turn based shit goes it's not horribly painful, but I want to be able to hide behind cover and aim and fucking hit, and make up for lack of "leveling" with natural skill.

I think that if they combined GOW with FO3 then I'd be in heaven. Use the system for getting into cover and the same or better AI for the enemies, their version of 3rd person (GOW 3rd person looks tight, FO3 3rd person is off to the side at some weird angle and the character looks very weird), and their version of aiming. Then let FO3 handle the rest and we'd have a sexy ass shooter + a huge world to explore and develop a character in. That would pwn.

Anyway that's my rant about games.

So I started playing the daily 80k regularly. I've made it to the FT twice in about 50 of them played, winning one of them. Today was almost #3, but I got into unlucky gay spots a few times and busted out in 17th. In general, that tourney seems to have become extremely soft with all the new people on stars. I've made it ITM 4 of 9 times I played it this month, 2ce getting into the top 100. 17th today and 98th 2 days before that. Hopefully, will get another FT. Cash is good.

Forgot about my blog on here after I got done with the 600k prop bet but will start updating this more as I enjoyed the comments from people and met some new people thru my blogging, plus it feels good to write sometimes about poker things. I'll write an update of what I've been blowing my 27k from November in a month within the next few days.

I'm going for Supernova Elite on Stars this year, as many many others are for now, but have really had 0 motivation so far. I always grinded alot before because I was usually broke and needed to make money to pay the bills. Now that I have a good sized bankroll and my monthly bills are around 1kish and I dont really spend money on anything to often which means I dont really need to grind that much poker.

But I will send an open challenge to people that are going for SNE that play similar stakes to me, I play Full-Ring 100nl and some 200nl at the moment, on who can get there first and will bet any amount within reason to me on it. I currently am only at 41k VPP for the year. So if you or someone you know is interested in this PM me on here and we can book it. Idk how many people going for it at 100nl-400nl are trying to achieve it quickly as most I know are trying to stretch it out over the year but I'm sure some people would be interested in this as some extra motivation for themselves as well.

Also will prop bet with anyone on ps (even the asian bots) on any sorta most hands in a certain time (week, month, 2 month, 3 weeks, 5 days). Don't let my month of november fool you, I cant grind like that anymore . If you know anyone interested in this also let them know or let me know. Would probably only be open to Full Ringers at the moment since that is my main game but I have started dabbling in 6 max in preparation for something epic later on in the year.

Lol, I send a E-mail to my site because I wanted to know how much money I've made this month and I don't have PT 2 for omaha. I figured it'd be around 6 or 7k. It was 12 731€.

Is this a brag (I'm making more money then I though) or a beat (I suck at math)?
