I hope everyone had a great easter weekend and ate way to much lol. My family ended up having a Easter lunch because we were all to busy for a dinner. I definitly ate my face off and brought some left overs back with me to London lol.

Anyways I had a pretty good weekend back home. Friday it was beautiful outside so a bunch of us decided to get a game of road hockey. We got a few people and planned on having a 3 on 3 with 2 goalies but when we got to where we usually play someone was already there and they were using our net which we left there last time we played. No biggie. We asked them if thye wanted to play us and they were down lol. We had some pretty awesome games actually lol. It was a lot of fun but man my legs are dead now. Ever since hockey finished I havent been getting in a lt of cardio and shit. I really need to get back into a workout routine lol. Once schools over thats the plan.

Saturday my family had a little turkey lunch. All I can say is I love stuffing lol. After that my dad and I went to the Toronto FC game vs Dallas. I love going to these games because the fans are hilarious lol. There was a player named Cunningham who used to play for Toronto but he now plays on Dallas. During the game he ran over Torontos goalie and the entire stadium started chanting "T.O REJECT" lol. It was hilarious. They were all over Dallas the whole game and should have won like 4-1 but it ended up in a tie. I love going to these games but man Toronto FC sucks! lol. Im so used to watching the EPL and Champions league games on TV and stuff and the MLS is not even close to the skill level. Still would never turn down tickets to a game though lol.

The game finished up around 6 and I got home by 730. My buddy Ty asked me if I wanted to go out and grab a drink with him and my friend Sabrina. Sabrinas been bugging me to go out and get a drink with her one time when I came home so I decided to tag along. We went to a little bar close to where all of us called M&M's. Nice and cheap pitchers lol. My other buddy Tommy showed up little later too. All of us go to school in a different city or are working full time now so it was nice to get togehter with them and catch up. We all ended up going back to Sabrinas new apartment for some more drinks and Sabrina called over some friends. Her room mate just moved out so she didnt even have a tv lol. We watched some stupid vids on Youtube then decided to play some drinking games. We played Kings and I got fucked over in that game and ended up getting pretty drunk when we were done.

Since there wasnt much to do at Sabrinas and because there is hardly any bars in the city Im from we all decided to go bowling. Thats right... bowling lol. I hadnt been bowling in almost 4 years Im guessing so I thought it would be fun lol. We rented the lanes for an hour and it was like $40... wtf? lol. Anyways we grabbed some more drinks and started playing. I took down both games lol. Who knew I was so good at bowling lol? After that we all called it a night. Pretty good one at that lol. I didnt think I was really that drunk but when I got home I felt so smashed lol. Now that I think of it I drank way more then I thought last night.

I woke up this morning a little bit hurtin so I decided to just watch a movie. I ended up watching the new Fast and the Furious. It was actually pretty lame. The trailer hypes it up way to much lol. I give it a 6/10. After the movie was over I ended up getting a ride back to London with my buddy. When I got back and unpacked all my shit I decided to put in my first session of the weekend.

I origionally wanted to put in 6k hands this weekend but that never happened. I havent played the NL25 games on UB yet so today was the first shot at it. It went very well and I got stuck at a dream table with 3 huge fish sitting pretty deep. I ended the session up just over 2 Buy-ins. Pretty nice way to start off NL25. After that I decided to try out another 6 max tourney because I did really well in the last one I played. This one went very well too and I really thought I was going to final table it but I ended up going out 11th place Made $40 though lol. So on the month im up $300 in tourneys. Not bad.

Cant really complain. Im glad im back at NL25 because NL10 is just a big pain in the ass. Hopefully I can keep it going for the rest of the month, put in lots of hands to get a nice rakeback at the end of the month and maybe take down a tourney as well. That would really make for a great month lol. The goal is 1.5k profits this month so hopefully I can reach it. Might be hard thought with exams and shit come up but who knows.

Anyways Im gonna go blaze with my room mate and wreck him at Halo.

So on Pokerstars the regular buy-in for both these limits is $6.

So, at a bank roll of $120, I'd assume that the $6 buy-in would mean I'm around 20 buy-ins for both... should I just stick to NL5 until I am a winning player or is there minimum skill difference between them so that I could just jump to NL10?

Also how many buy-ins should I have when I move up to NL25?

wow I keep ending my sessions on deepstacked bad beats. Today I get to flop a set while deep on a 9 high board vs KK, get it all-in on the turn and river brings a K. I keep winning a bunch of small / medium pots and then lost most of it back in 1 huge bad beat.

hahahahaha

That's life. Overall things are fine though cause I think I'm winning (still in the no BR checking mode) but this probably coulda been like a 10 buyin heater or better if these deep stacked hands went my way!

I've had a pretty nice weekend though. Went out to dave and busters with friends on Friday night. Pokered saturday and then hung with my GF and one of our friends last night. Then today has been more poker and more laziness. I've been playing much better and that has been very enjoyable. Poker was starting to make me feel like shit earlier this week so taking off till the weekend worked out very well. I've gotta focus on work right now anyway so I will be spending much less time on poker. The fact that I didn't run like total shit this weekend has me wanting to play more though, hehe.

Im playing nl25 have almost 1k on there what is a point to move up in limits? I dont want to take any shots I want to have a solid roll where it wont effect to think of the money just to play a solid game. So at what point should i move up stay at a 40 buy in and move up then? I play anywhere from 16-20 tables at a time.

I REALLY do not like NL25 and will probably REFUSE to return to it even if my BR continues to get ravaged so please stop shitting on me! It's either bad run outs shitting on my redline or suck outs shitting on my showdown winnings or it's bad beats just shitting all over my whole being. I really don't think I was running THAT good before, but I'd gladly go back to the positive profit range and run a little below EV or around EV or a little above or WAY WAY WAY above EV like there's an awesome rubber band effect that's going to make these lines converge and then the bold one shoot WAY over the light one.

UGH, I'm more covered in full tilt's shit than that kid in Slumdog Millionaire.

Anyway, I REPENT of my previous posts and I HATE everyone who said I was running good because you have DOOMSWITCHED me HARD, and being 8 BI below EV is lame PLUS getting coolered / sucked out upon / blah blah and I am NOT EVEN BLUFFING ABOUT RUNNING BAD IN THESE OTHER AREAS. I soul crushed really hard today. I developed a sick image with this like super slightly profitable call vs a shortstacks shove on the flop, I hit my OESD and everyone is like WTF OMG how does he call A HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS with that. Then I made this really sick bluff in a ~$650 3 way pot on the river and I showed. My whole table was on like retard tilt vs me so it ruled.

The main guy n that biggish pot I bluffed was this middle age-oldish nitty/kinda solid sort of guy, so he is like "omg look at this over aggro young donkey". The setup finally came when I picked up KK, raise to $40 and get 6 callers so the pot is like ~$240. Flop is 239r and I fire $200. Everyone folds but the middle age guy. Turn is the A and he checks to me. He checks and I "All in", he has $475 behind and I cover. He tanks and eventually calls, "I don't think you even have a pair.." with 42 for a gutshot + a pair of dueces. He would NEVER ever do that except vs me in this specific situation. I feel like such a l33t haxor.

Then he hits but whatever.. fuckin gutshottaments.

Still I totally destroyed everyone's life today. Sooo happy now, though I was really disappointed after that hand and lost my fire for the day, cashed out about an hour and a half later.

Then I was meandering around the casino on my way out and I run into bbm and his friend nikita, who I've spoken to before, they were stoned off their asses so we walked up to the mirage and blew like 2 hours with funny stoned nonsense.

Time to sleep, now that its 7am... damn it.

I like to bet, but it seems to be a bad strategy at the moment. I think I'm charging headlong into the top of my opponent's ranges AND impaling myself without them having to lift a finger. Still, I like charging so it's lame for them to bayonet me.

On the other hand, I'm wondering if I'm ACTUALLY running into the top of their ranges, and I'll probably do some more review to make sure I'm not leveling myself into shipping too light. I should probably post some hands to get some comments.

I decided Yomer was definitely right about me spewing while trying to imitate Durrr. I'm trying to curtail my excitement at playing poker again, tightening up a bit etc.

I feel like I've improved a bit in the last couple days in several areas: some of my PF spew has been cut off; I've begun to handle 3bets and 3bet pots significantly better; and the quality of my bluffs has increased in sizing, timing and spot selection.

All that said, I'm getting crushed pretty hardcore in ALL-IN EV, about 6 BI or so under as I approach the 10k hand mark. The beats were rather demoralizing at first but quickly became comical as no single beat was THAT painful but instead the bad luck mostly occurred in pots against half stacks so it was something like a running succession of losing 65:35s, 75:25s, and 80:20s.

One thing I realized pretty quickly this time around is that pretty much no session is likely to be be perfect as the probabilities in hold 'em are often 80-90% chance of victory at best. Following that epiphany I realized that I would be agonizing over the inevitable if I was upset about bad beats/coolers etc. Hopefully that will be easily internalized so I can enjoy playing.

Anyway as for my results, they weren't good. I'm actually about 2BI below where I started (although surprisingly most of my losses have come post-tightening so my experiment with loose play COULD be termed a success - though I think educational would be a better term than successful). Atop the poor ALL-IN EV, I had a REALLY high frequency of hideous run outs for my big pairs, and actually very little action on big pairs overall. Also had a surprising number of suck outs by draws and random over cards calling down for one or even two streets. I also made some weird hero calls and perhaps even more hero bluffs, but I feel that both were pretty educational and wasn't altogether upset about losing/winning in those spots. Finally the collisions with what I believed to be the tops of my opponents' ranges were quite expensive.

Overall I guess this would be termed a standard swing, but it was distressing because every aspect of my game was completely ravaged rather than just my weaknesses. The only thing I was relatively happy with was that I didn't become a crazy tilt monkey at any point and didn't make many more than the sort of amateurish mistakes that are to be expected.

1. he has AA but is drunk and blind limps behind in mp. flop comes out A92r and turn comes a 9. money goes in vs. 92 and river is a 9 FHL 2.5k pot

2. he has JJ and flop comes KJx, he bets, and gets raised by K8o. he flats and check raises all in on an 8 turn. guy rivers a K, 1k pot

3. he has KK and some retarded russian guy gets annoyed at his frequent preflop raising so he 3bets with AJo from sb. mike 4bets big and he calls oop. flop comes out 664. he nudged me earlier so i know he's got AA/KK and im celebrating life when that flop hits. at this point, the russian starts talking shit, saying "COME ON LETS GO ALL IN. ALL IN RIGHT NOW... check (wtf omg lol...)." mike attempts to level and shoves about pot size and i berate mike for his retarded play.

omfg lol... russian proceeds to show his cards and tank for about 5 mins, and then CALLS TIME ON HIMSELF LOL

he eventually calls and river comes out an ace. ~1.5k pot. i folded an ace preflop what the hell.

So, I think I am gonna start taking the Roids. My fraternity's softball team is quite good, but we are looking for more of an edge. After chatting with our ex-president about the situation, he suggested steroids. Now, my life's philosophy is to try everything at least once, so of course I said id take them. I chatted with some of the guys and suggested taking them with me. So far I have had mixed answers, none of which were yes. So, hopefully ill start my first cycle soon, my drug dealer should have them soon. I will keep everyone updated, as I am sure you are all as excited as I am.

[This was a semi-April fools joke due to its retarded nature, however I am very serious about trying steroids at some point in my life, just because i'm that gangster.]

Ok, now onto more interesting poker/ballin'/life updates.

I just sat down and worked out some goals I have for the summer. I just cashed out most of my roll, leaving myself with 25 buyins for $50NL, with a set plan on moving up stakes. I am going to have a set financial plan as far as cash outs, expenses, and taxes go. I am thinking about doing some coaching, and would like you guys' input on my proposal. I just purchased one of the most ballin' anti-tilt items out there, which I am super excited about. Ill probably wrap the post up with some random life musings regarding my summer travel plans, health, drugs, school, my fraternity, females, and whatever else I come up with.

Today, while amped up on amphetamines and burning this dank ass Orange Kush, I decided to start organizing my summer, starting with setting goals. I decided to cash out all but 25 buyins for $50NL to ensure I have plenty of cash in hand, and to start a bit of a challenge I have been thinking of. Firstly, I wanted to set a specific number of hands to play from now until August 15th. That number came out to ~185k hands over roughly 125 days. Now, with $1250 online, I decided I want to take a pretty conservative approach in moving up. Starting with $50NL, I am going to play that stake until I profit 50 buyins, at which point I will be allowed to move up to $100NL, and on through the limits. Rakeback, MTT scores, and Coaching will not be included as far as buyins go.

I decided plan a more set, stable cashout process. I will be cashing out my rakeback each month rather than including it in my roll. Also, regarding MTTs, I will be cashing out my net profits at the end of each month as well. If I am in the negative at the end of the month, that negative balance will carry over to the next month and I will cash nothing out. I will be using the 100 buyin rule for any MTTs I play, unless I am staked (If anyone is interested, get at me.) I am doing this to force me to start saving money and planning ahead as far as monthly expenses. I am also keeping strict records of all financial records and receipts so that I can finally file gambling taxes the right way without screwing myself out of money.

As far as coaching goes, I have been giving it some thought lately, seeing it as a way to motivate me to grind more, keep improving my game, and ultimately moving up stakes. I had the idea of charging whatever my hourly wage was over the 50 buyins I won at that limit. Due to my semi-strict game selecting, I would guess my MT ration is around 5. So, over my 25k hand $50NL database, my hourly was around 30$/hour. I would guess through most stakes my hourly will be around 2/3 of a buyin at those stakes. I think this is a pretty decent deal in that I will have a good amount of current experience at that particular stake, and consider myself a fairly decent player and thinker (and I am fairly certain quite a few people could vouch for this.) I think charging your hourly relative to the particular stake you are coaching is pretty fair both ways, wouldn't you agree? Thoughts on this proposal?

Now, onto something much more exciting! I had an extremely baller epiphany the other day after I blew a few candies and cruised a blunt of Northern Lights my buddy got from NC. I often go on blunt cruises before, between, and after poker sessions. I always take a specific back roads route along a protected watershed. Being a protected watershed, only a few people live on this lake, and it is massive. The lake is always on one side of the road, and the other side is usually dense forest. Its absolutely beautiful driving that route at sunrise/sunset. The wildlife, and the thought of fishing a lake that hasn't been fished in 25+ years, calms me, even if i'm not tilted. I have always had this weird thing for fish, whether it be fishing, eating fish, or having pet fish. I decided I had to get a fish tank, with sharks or piranhas. Watching them swim around is super peaceful, and if I ever get tilted, I can just put a fish or other small animal in the tank and watch them devour it, staining the tank blood red, and leaving nothing but skulls and bones once the blood stain settles. I purchased the tank, and all the other essentials for caging a monster, and have it set up on my desk less than 6 inches away from my monitor. Sick, maybe? Baller, absolutely.

As far as random life musings go, I will try to keep it brief. I am working out now that the weather is breaking. I purchased the perfect pull up/push up/ab straps and am doing that routine daily, along with running or biking. I would venture to say that I have gotten a lot stronger faster than any weightlifting routine I have ever been on for sports. I highly recommend trying it out. School is going ok, I am hoping to manage about a 3.5 this semester, but we'll see what happens. I was recently nominated into a few honors societies and an honors fraternity. I dont normally care much about those types of things, but I guess it means I am getting my shit done despite how much I “party”. The fraternity is whatever, nothing exciting has really happened lately. I am still slaying female's on the regular, and still am STD free. As far as drugs go, I have been getting my hands on some pretty awesome bud lately, and recently was informed of the new candy, Opana. Check it out, but I would not recommend ever trying it. Pretty intense stuff though.
