Hud is not showing up, I haven't really touched its since downloading it: It just kinda popped up when I had PT on. Does anyone know how to fix this???
my 5/10 graph this year. not that many hands but good lord i just can't seem to get a break. already down 4k at 5/10 this month in like a few hundred hands wtf, would be up 3k so far if i never touched that cursed stake =[
my vow: no more 5/10 6max for the rest of the year unless i have a coach w/ me.
Meh, HU didnt go as planned and i dropped abit too much money so i got scared and went back to 6 max due to my small roll and HU variance.
Made alsmot 1k this month which is alright, not great though and im definately aiming for more in august. I will probably also try to move up to NL200 once my BR is ok.
i cant win, ive came to the stage where i know im gonna get outdrawn when i hold the nuts by some random shit. and then it happends, again and again and i just laugh.. turning psycho for reals.
4 months, 500hours of play, 145BI under EV. (though they are never accurate but it forms a picture atleast)
im not joking, its all bad run. cuz i know im making +ev choices/plays all the fucking time...
is it really possible to run so TERRIBLY bad for such a long time?
april suxed the most. i dont have those hands on this computer since i bought a new one and to lazy to transfer them, but thats the month where i went from 100NL to 25NL in a month and it was just sick all over luckwise..
I had originally planned on reloading for cash games but came to this wonderful epiphany that playing a super loose aggro style with lots of 2.3x raising and barreling and shit might actually be more suited towards big MTT tournament play. I only wanted to play like $1 or $5 MTT's, but since sunday is so juicy I figured what the hell, might as well get my feet wet and possibly walk away with a new life roll, so I joined mostly $10 tourneys.
I ran into a lot of confusing situations to say the least. Just fishy players making really weird bet sizes, or jamming 100 BB's to an UTG raise etc, I was completely lost in most of my hands. When I wasnt shooting blind, I was playing shortstacked on the button and running into aces in the blinds. Now that the big tourney's are over I can focus on the el-cheapo's and just look at them as practice. In fact I may have to pay off some fish just to get a handle on what people are doing with their odd bets, it's really like nothing I've ever seen before. I have a feeling they're just completely bluffing at pure random b/c poker is all about bluffing, but we'll see.
I'd say the biggest leak in my game revolves around proper stack management. How to use my chips effectively and how not to get short stacked too early in the game. I have no idea how to fix this yet, so I'm just gonna keep plugging away at it until I seem to get some sort of rhythm for these things, as they are quite different from cash.
Stake is over and I now have a nice NL50 bankroll again, managed to do this in 4 days which I'm obv very pleased about. Won 1.2k in cash games and bought the Supernova $800 milestone.
Today was a great day, although I lost 4 buyins at the end 12 tabling to finish the bonus off (was up 12 buyins) T_T Can't really complain though.
Thanks A LOT to my staker, hope you're happy with $500 in 4 days =)
Might go there around the 10th aug and looking for someone to drink beer with since the two friends im going with are most likly to just grind out the live games
Anyone of you still in vegas?
bumping my last post
and if anyone has a house where i can stay/know some cheap hotels please leave a comment!
Getting a little better at "not paying off", which is by far the biggest leak I have in my game by self-diagnosis. Second leak is probably randomly bluffing off stacks, and I think my valuebetting is... at least "ok". Just want to go back to FPS-Less poker haha - NL100 doesn't need any fancy shit obv.
Meh, w/e I dont really think moving down to nl50 again will bother me too much if it comes to that.
waiting for action at the HU so i'll put up some music i discovered.
this guys were playing at a music festival around here. awesome. if they play near wherever your at and you are somewhat into this song. def go. cause live they were even more entertaining. not in the least because of the entertaining base player and the cute girl at the drums.
Okay well time to give the official update on here that I did fail my main prop bet I had last month which was to make 10k at NL100. Luckily I had many other prop bets against people on either volume or most BIs won, me vs them. So after everything I was only down $800 in total prop bets. On Friday after I finally gave it up at nl100 I decided to play some 10/20 and 25/50, 4 tables for a little bit. Only really played 2-3 hands that went past the flop and got 4bet a few times at 10/20 but ended up a small winner before people finally convinced me to stop playing. I was happy taking a 10k shot and seeing what happened though.
Here I 2x pot on the river to get him off his full house

Those are the only hands more interesting then 0 percent that I played besides a few other light 3bets. I'm sure I will play some more super high stakes soon since I dont really mind losing the money but in the future I will probably just grind some 1/2 or whatever I decide to play.
My totals for the month ended up being
120kvpp/$12.5k fpp/milestones
+7.2k playing
-800 prop bet
+300 staking
Total $19,200
I am obviously very happy about this but still sucks that I failed my prop bet and didn't win an additional 10k (from the money I would have won playing/other prop bets I had). I am not really that upset because I know I will have other prop bets in the future that I will hopefully succeed at but in the meantime am going to get back to having a life and not playing poker 12 hours a day. Back to the gym/going out/meeting randoms/sleeping all the time. Also going to travel some this month so that should be exciting as well. Thanks to all that have read my blog and followed my challenge throughout the month. For the most part there have been many positive and nice comments made by some.
Yes I know I need to play less tables, stop tilting, learn to actually play poker, etc.. Will I actually end up doing any of that, probably not but that is to be seen.
Might go there around the 10th aug and looking for someone to drink beer with since the two friends im going with are most likly to just grind out the live games
