is what happened at a party i went to tonight

you may or may not recall i once blogged about someone getting stabbed at a party i was at. well, it happened again tonight. so 2 of the last 3 parties ended in stabbings

my city has been in the news about violence 3 times this week... random shooting near my house, city worker gets jumped by like 30+ high school kids, and now this.

what makes me disappointed is not how bad the city is turning, but because i was about to get some. as in, girl on me, says brb gotta get something, right after she leaves the room the music cuts and the dj is like "yall gotta leave, the party is over" and this crazy yitch comes out the cuts screaming WHO THE FUCK WOULD BRING A KNIFE TO A PARTY

Recently have not been spending near enough time around poker. Current in a prop bet w/ gororok for winrate and am getting RAPED. Anyway been some ppl complaining bout running bad and doing bad etc recently so figuring I would offer my services to help get me more involved w/ poker. (For the fellow strugglers)

Going from slight winner last year, doomswitched towards the end, transitioning into the new year becoming break even player with rake and then becoming a losing player even though I'm learning more and more about poker. Obviously I got a millions of leaks still to plug and issues to get over but fuck, I really want to start winning again badly...

Shitty Dec, Jan, and Feb is starting to turn out the same way. Isolating fish 10000 times a day and not flopping anything lately, plus the other usual stuff when people say "they run bad."

Tomorrow's a new day. Just gotta work harder and keep an eye out for the mistakes i guess.

Got some rage issues too, gotta find a way to calm myself down in some spots.

Good evening, LP.

Been alot of whine blogs and very little updates, so I've been thinking for a while about posting my recent results but either got too lazy or too busy. Finally found an excuse as I've just final tabled a small 2.5k tournament for which the prize purse was roughly 4k~. Led in the chips at some point, after a terrible first hour, losing half of my stack twice when getting in with the best hand. Managed to make it into the bubble as the 3rd smallest stack (top 100 paid) and then doubled up twice to put myself right back in the middle of the pack and work my way up to the final table. Busted 3rd for roughly 530$ CAD (363 Euros) after turning a straight vs two pairs and playing it slow but not folding to a re-shove when his two pairs became a boat on the river. Sucks that I was so close to shipping the whole thing but still sick happy as this cash more than doubles my roll I'm a NL10 player and am now sitting on 30BI for NL20. Not gonna move up yet as I've only recently moved from NL4 to NL10 and still moved down when losing a few BI at NL10 (shits so random). Somehow, I run an amazing 40bb/100 at NL4, but an abyssimal 8bb/100 on NL10, although I am on a small sample. I'll probably take a few shots on NL20 anyways and test the waters a bit

I had just a few minutes to book all my basketball bets earlier tonight so I was inputting everything really fast. I then realized that I made a huge misclick. My normal bet size is $400 and when betting the moneyline, I stake $400 on the favorite and I bet to profit $400 on the underdog. I meant to bet on the wizards to profit $400 which at roughly +1000 means that I would risk $40. Instead of inputting $400 in the profit box, I put it in the stake box and I confirmed the bet quickly without even noticing. By the time I realized my mistake, my full bet was already matched. It was the first time I've ever made a mistake like this. FUCK!

except my man caron butler went fucking nuts and scored 29 points in the second half and hit a huge fall away 20 footer with .5 seconds left to give me the victory! So while I meant to bet $40 to win $400, my misclick meant that I actually bet $400 to win $4000. SHIP IT!

A few question for you live grinders out there I live in Henderson, NV and been playing online poker for a few years I just turned 21 and wanted to know if you guys had any advice or tips for me because I want to start playing live my questions:

What would be a good bankroll for 1/2 or 2/5?
What casinos would be the best to play at?
Which days are the best to play there?

Tomorrow is the beginning of a new season. I am the #1 pitcher right now at my school, and am probably at the highest my career has ever been at. Our first game is near my home town, so all my family gets to watch me play. I couldn't be any happier right now. Everything is going well, even poker! I'm very blessed right now to be in the position that i am in.

Every time I try to join a table on Stars it crashes...I've tried reinstalling and it still happens. Is anyone else having the same problem?

As I hail from the micro limit of poker, I don't understand why people think AK is the nuts preflop?

My friend said it was partly because of the fold equity you get if you jam it over a 4 bet or 4 bet it. Secondly, we're not exactly crushed unless we get it in against AA. Against KK, you still have ~30% equity so "its just like a coin toss!"

This doesn't click for me because noone folds to a jam in the micros after they 4 bet. So if there is no fold equity involved, do you still like to get it all in pre?

after looking at some HU sng variance numbers i can only really draw the conclusion that i'm currently a losing player on a losing streak..

i'm posting hands and reviewing my decisions a lot right now. i will try to post some hands where im sure of my decisions just to see if i should be so sure and ofcourse keep posting hands that give me difficulties.

i slept really bad last night. it's not the money i lost, cause i lost much larger amounts in short periods. it's not the time i have been losing as timewise i have only been losing for about 8 hours straight.

it's the fear i am a losing player in this format that keeps me awake. i hate being the fish.

i do have a strong feeling that i wasn't always a losing player, this trend is also resembled in the graph. it could be that i'm 2 tabling a lot more right now and that this is hurting me really bad. maybe i went on autopilot too much.
