new jessica alba movie! by SneakrFreakr, October 24

So I played a bit yesterday and today

http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5425/qqqhx3.jpg

Nothing special but I played pretty bad yesterday and made some questionable plays. Today I dunno, I felt like I was running kinda good in big pots but I was losing a ton in small and medium ones. Plus I got stacked in the last hand for a full buyin. But can't complain at all after how the month is going so far.

I'm gonna start analysing my sessions in PT every time cause I've been on autopilot for the past few days and I'm not thinking about the game enough. Plus I make some spewy plays from time to time which shouldn't happen. So while looking through PT I'll post some hands here:

1. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301844 What do you think about it? He's quite a solid regular. I figured that turn was a really good card for me cause I'm pretty sure he's only calling my check/raise with 99 and K9 (22 is sooo unlikely).

2. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301851 Villain was a tight regulars (18/14/3 or so) and I haven't been getting out of play. I was just playing standard abc game so I didn't expect him to call mi down with this hand.

3. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301855 His range on river is basically Tx, a flush and bluffs and I felt like it's a really good spot for him to bluff. Thoughts?

4. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301843 Villain is a LAG solid regular and we've been tangling a bit. Likey turn shove or not?

5. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301857 What do you think about each street? I didn't want to 3bet PF because of the awkward stack sizes but on the other hand I wanted to play it because of fish in the blinds and wide range of preflop raiser. The guy that lead the flop was like 36/12/1 after 150 hands. What do you think about flop and turn?

6. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301867 I feel like I lost value in this one. Villain is 35/18/1.3. Should I bet turn in this spot? If I decide to check/call what do you think about leading river?

7. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301870 Bleh that's a pretty bad spew. On one hand this is a very scary board but my line doesn't make any sense and I'd definitely lead river with straight or flush. Villain was like 18/8/1 but he was 3betting a ton. Maybe he was just running good but I saw him doing it a couple of times.

8. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301873 ty

9. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301875 Damn misclick. I'd probably get his whole stack.

10. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301876 That's so bad

11. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301878 I think I like checking this flop from time to time cuz it's soooo dry.

12. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301880 ty

13. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301882 Likey or not?

14. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301884 Fayth's first hand on this table

Ok that's it. I know that nobody will look through them but at least now I actually have to analyse my hands in PT etc. Ok time to go to bed now. Tutorials at 9am tommorow But at least I'm probably going out tommorow which is good cause I soooo need to get pissed lolz.

And a trailer of new movie with Jessica Alba to make this post at least a bit interesting. OMG I sooo can't wait to see it (or should I say - her).

Discipline by NeillyJQ, October 24

I got some serious issues with BR management and ego, I've been takin time off of poker tryin to get my head straightened out after that last run I was on.

I talked alot w/ Radiohead and he stressed how much playing on 100 buy-ins is perfect, so its the only way I'm going to play anymore. 100 BI for cash, 50 BI for tournaments.

Been learning alot, I kinda still suck at poker but hopefully I'll get good soon.

I have improved a little though, and win alot more pots than I used to.

Hopefully I can become a winning player in the next few months.

GL everyone,
Ryan

Cant beat the deck :( by Critterer, October 24

Another losing session in the bag, this downswing is really starting to suck. As just a sample of todays coolers/beats i managed to lose fullhouse vs Quads, Flopped flush under flopped flush, AA vs KK aipf (he hit set), Queens vs flopped straight in RR pot. Theres more too including a KK on a TT7 board, dunno if thats a cooler but i think so, and then another flush under flush to wrap up the day.

Its ok i played very good poker today and ended up only -$30 which isnt all too bad. It does mean my downswing is now just over 8 buyins which is kinda sick since i crush my limit but oh well.

Just gotta keep playing and hope that stuff starts going in my favour. Heres a funny EV graph/stats

http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/9204/3daysbk9.jpg

Oh and the luck graph for kicks too

http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/5714/luckgraphft9.jpg

Shame it doesnt count the setup/coolers too becuase ive had more than my share of those. Makes it look like i should actually be losing whereas the expected negative comes solely from coolers. Okay not solely from coolers/setups but majority is, i did make a few spews too but nothing serious imo. Plus i checked through my hands and ive hit 5 sets in 4000 hands and one of them i got drawn out on? and been paid off on 0 of them.

Sick life.

Hope everyone is running better than me, and i hope my luck changes for the better soon~ GL all

Off to a flyer by F4Zi, October 24

Started on the 10/20 NL tables and did pretty good. I don't play many hands per day usually - now and again I'll play till early morning.

Hahah got my stack to over 11k (6max) quicktime, on one table so that was a nice confidence boost. The HU session didn't go too well though :/ couldn't hit the flop.

Stats for today: 920 hands, +$6050 @ 33 BB/100

God I am running so hot on party poker, 5500 hands across 5/10+10/20 @ 33 BB/100 as well.. a rush or what.

-
Tourney wise I'll take a crack at the Sunday Tournaments again and hope to make the money this time. Looking forward to the FTOPS though, the 1MIL $1k buyin looks sweet.

GL All.

10k hands. graph + random by kantoiki, October 24

Story: I woke up at like 11am and studied a bit until 1pm when I decided "screw it, I so cbf studying I'm just going to play some poker". (I know, terrible idea but it gets worse).

I started playing and 3-4 hours later friend comes over and says he'll play a hour session on my laptop, I agree to keep playing until he finishes.

An hour later he's down and wants to keep playing until his even, I agree and we continue to play until his even.

2-3 hours later he's now up and running quite good and somehow it becomes a competition to see who can play the longest.

Anyway we played until 11.30pm or just before midnight when some friends came by to get us to go get some dinner and hang out. I stopped at just under 11k hands and he stopped at 7k hands and we headed out to get dinner.

Dinner was average, funny conversation involving porn and other random topics and hanging out after sitting for 11 hours straight made it good fun though.

So yeah I played just a bit over 10,000 hands in one session and hell I didn't do that badly even though several times near the end I felt tired.

Heres the graph of my session:

http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/6663/asfdalk0.jpg

Also a random hand about 8000 hands into my session:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301413 I obviously have reads..

Anyway so after this experience I think I can probably pull off my upcoming holiday goals of at least 5k hands a day every day.

IRON MAN ME!!

The photo is from recent holiday where we drove from Torquay which was where we stayed to the 12 apostles. Screwing around in a kind of sheltered cove like area, and got lost on the way home. Anyway I'll post more holiday stuff next time.

Oh and I saw an ad on television for a new movie with Jessica Alba in it, needless to say I just searched it up and its called Good Luck Chuck AND will definitely be watching this as soon as I can.

Oh and I'm trying to switch courses from the business management course to accounting.
Reason being that the accounting course is a lot more focused and seems like it has a clearer career path which is kind of what I want.

Alright sleep time.

LP FIGHTING!! I keep watching HSP wondering how some of the top players here would fare...

Another winning session. by barbieman, October 24

Had my 4th straight winning session on NL50 today. Todays session was kinda weird, about one hour into the session I was up 160$. After that it started going down hill. In every big pot I played the turn and/or river card was like the worst card in the deck to come up. I was down to about +50$ when I put a bad beat on a guy in a 115$ pot. I played for like 20min more but i kept getting shiat turn and river cards which forced me to fold.

I felt like I was about to make a stupid big call pretty soon since I was getting raised and re-raised alot. It was pretty obvious I was beat but you'll eventually make that call anyways. Even though I ended my 3h-session 30min earlier than i planned I'm still glad i did and I still made 90$.

NL50 6max hands by Artanis[Xp], October 24

So, I decided to 4table today (on advice of r-Evo) instead of the usual 12tabling. I also decided to try some 6max. Let's say it didn't go too well.
Since my BR was at $1000, I felt it was time to move up again. I tried some 6max since it's a bit faster then FR. Here are the most important hands.

Losers:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301515 - villain was a donkish calling station. Should've realized he doesn't raise unless he has something big. Thought about this for a while before shoving since he could have a flushdraw. Guess I should've folded though :/
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301473 - Should've checked behind. After the raise, I should've folded to his minreraise still I guess.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301527 - Bluffcatcher mode gone wrong.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301487 - Don't raise against calling stations with draws :/. Thought I raised preflop though so I was protecting.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301503 - People calling 3bets with ATo should be slaughtered. He kept minreraising my cbets so I felt that AK/AQ would be likely here.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301499 - Knew I was missing a beat.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301532 - Or two. (Shouldn't have overbet in dry sidepot though. Silly me ><)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301534 - We're on the calling station train!

Winners:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301491 - I was in love with this flop.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301530 - Kill halfstacks. All of em.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301531 - Sometimes people are weird.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301533 - Wut?

1k hands, stats here:

So I have an exam tmorrow for uni and instead of studying i'm playing poker atm.

Smart right?

Anyway I'm 6000 hands into the session right now and just thought how much more hands can i play in ONE session lol.

I'm not really tired at all and can probably go for a couple of more hours oh and i'm playing 9 tables.

Just thought I'd mention it since I want to see how badly i start playing the further into this session and i'll post a graph of the hands i play this session.

Horselarious by KrappyKonnect, October 24

So yeah, I never played 30/60 anything other than razz, hopped into horse, sucked the first few goes, maybe lost 1k-2k, then today I picked up about 1500 at 30/60 and then this big score later at 50/100 (started with 1000)

http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x174/KrappyKonnect/Horselarious.jpg

I never stepped foot in any 30/60 games outside of razz and stud hi lo, and all of a sudden, Im killing 50/100 horse? Prodigy...

Want MTT Coaching? by nutshot, October 23

Dear Nerds:

I will be offering MTT coaching beginning sometime in the near future. For now, I need to assemble a list of prospective students and figure some things out.

*FIRST, I am looking to trade MTT lessons with a SUCCESSFUL 2/4+ 6MAX Player. If this is you, and you're interested, PM me with the following info:
-days/hours you're available to teach/learn
-what MTT's you'd want to play
-what cash game stakes you play
-your ptbb, and your vpip/pfr

*SECOND, and more important for most of you who are reading this, I WILL BE COACHING MTT's starting soon at $75/hr. I WILL ALSO CONSIDER PROFIT SHARING OVER A CERTAIN # OF TOURNAMENTS, instead of the fixed $75/hr. It's all negotiable. If you are interested, PM me the following info:
-days/hours you're available to learn
-what MTT's you play
-your www.officialpokerrankings.com results (type in your stars/ftp screename and send me the linked page with your results)
-your stars/ftp screename
-anything else you'd want me to know.

If ANYONE has any questions about this, feel free to PM me. I'm open to discuss pretty much anything about this with anybody. Tell your friends, too.

-Mike

I like Wednesdays by wilddamon, October 23

I dunno if it's me.. or the fish.. but there seem to be more of them on Wednesdays. Or do I just play better? I always run good on Wednesday. I'm up 5 buy-ins over 800 hands today.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301260 vs. some guy who just joined my table. He seemed to be a bit of a station watching him for the last few hands. I have a note that says "sometimes bluffs river half pot". Lol.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301255 Dunno about this...

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301251 lol what I thought one of them would at least have Ax. Or a straight. Snap folded on the turn. Like the instant the button appeared.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301231 A bit thin, but it was vs. this guy who'd been doing that a lot:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301236
and I figured he would have to have 78 to beat me, which was pretty unlikely.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301172 Standard.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301082 Misclicked. LOL!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301070 No idea how glen got that huge stack. Suckout most likely since he's a total calling station.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301031 Sweet. Thanks.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301010 I run good.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301004 Yay! A set! I can bet!

Thought he had exactly air.

I don't know if this was TRULY horrible (I think it most likely was tho), since I do have a backdoor diamond draw and he was check/raising or raising my cbets relentlessly, but it still goes to show how I've been playing last couple of days (well, last night and today, played fine before that).

Too fancy, too impatient, a little too unconfident at times (ie AK allin preflop used to be like 'YAY' now it's like 'maybe I can 4bet and fold to a shove...'.

Need to start sleeping better, don't feel sharp at all.

Had a few.. embarassing hands that I'll just not post, played them really really poorly!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301219 - I thought he had a flushdraw or some such but truth be told I might well have folded hadn't I been slightly tilted.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301218 - this is a flop fold right? He has a set here like 99% of the time (maybe maybe maybe 2 pair).

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/301217 - 17/12.. I think the river is a really easy call in hindsight but for some reason I found it hard :[

http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/3202/pokergrapherwx2.jpg
Took a shot at NL50 some days ago, lost 2 buyins and went back to NL25 for safety. Got addicted to donkaments again which caused me not to get back to $1000 early. Then I saw dronebabo play some NL25 6max, so I decided to play on some tables vs him. Didn't work out too well at first as you can see, but it got better after that and people started paying my hands off

Hope to move to NoIQ soon for the $600 bonus and 40% rakeback. After I clear the bonus, I'm planning on moving to Prima for the rakeback. Still awaiting my neteller activation though.
