Dear Nerds:

I will be offering MTT coaching beginning sometime in the near future. For now, I need to assemble a list of prospective students and figure some things out.

*FIRST, I am looking to trade MTT lessons with a SUCCESSFUL 2/4+ 6MAX Pla<x>yer. If this is you, and you're interested, PM me with the following info:
-days/hours you're available to teach/learn
-what MTT's you'd want to play
-what cash game stakes you play
-your ptbb, and your vpip/pfr

*SECOND, and more important for most of you who are reading this, I WILL BE COACHING MTT's starting soon at $75/hr. I WILL ALSO CONSIDER PROFIT SHARING OVER A CERTAIN # OF TOURNAMENTS, instead of the fixed $75/hr. It's all negotiable. If you are interested, PM me the following info:
-days/hours you're available to learn
-what MTT's you play
-your www.officialpokerrankings.com results (type in your stars/ftp screename and send me the li<x>nked page with your results)
-your stars/ftp screename
-anything else you'd want me to know.

If ANYONE has any questions about this, feel free to PM me. I'm open to discuss pretty much anything about this with anybody. Tell your friends, too.

-Mike

Just to back up what he's saying, I can verify that Mike is the best MTT player I talk to on a regular basis. He always knows the right spots to be aggressive, he knows when to change gears, and he's been putting up consistent results for a long time now. $75 is a steal imo, and anyone looking to improve their game to top-notch should talk to him as soon as you can.

lol so cuz u just won 2 big tournies on the same day ur good enough to coach mtt... and for $75 / hour?

before these 2 all u've done is grinded low buyin mtt and have had good success, i wont knock that... but its all in low buyin MTTs... anyone playing solid poker can achieve this if they put the time into it

u need way more larger buyin tourney wins imo...

no 1 who needs the skill u offer can afford $75/hour, and anyone playing 2/4+ makes plenty of money and can do what u just did w/ ease on MTTs if they put the time into it cuz they already have that knowledge (or should at least)

no offense, but reality check please

smart

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

that's all fine... i respect what you're saying. you're not interested, but maybe there are people who are interested. nowhere did i claim to be good, or even decent. i'm just offering coaching if anyone wants it.

thanks for your opinions.

like seriously, he's got 50%+ roi longterm and $40k of mtt profits.. obv you have more with your 320 score or whatever it was, but there are a lot of people that this could benefit (crownroyal for one i think).. like players who are on the cusp of great mtt play but could use that little extra push.

no way in hell can i afford 75 an hour.

I also think that any coaching I could get wouldn't be beneficial for 75 an hour.

WHAT IS THIS

like 75 an hour is -ev investment unless you're playing huge buyin tournaments.

and I don't think nutshots long term ROI is anywhere near 50%

I can't really say this is longterm but here's everything from OPR:

its nice ur confident in his skill but his results dont show it unfortunately . thats all i am saying

he very well could be good enough but theres no way to know, only reason i'd advise against it

but then again, my friend who has had unreal tournament success who i will not name and has been playing them for years did coaching once and got like $100-$150/hr, and never in my life would i pay for it because honestly he's a donk and got lucky numerous times... guess it can swing both ways

I for one think that $75.00 an hour for maybe a few hours wouldn't hurt any low-mid level players MTT game if they could afford it. What's a couple buy-in's to the $30.00 freeze out?

However I would suggest you offer profit sharing arrangements like 5 lessons for 50% profits from say someones next 50-100 tournaments, or something along those lines. Lower limit players could then benefit and its likely the pay-out could be better for you long-term especially if you have 5 or so students a month which then play 100 tournaments sharing 50% for the next few months.
