lol life update by collegesucks, August 06

how the fuck am i shit broke and still manage to pay for road trips with 4 other chicks to atlanta for 3 nights and four days?

i work fucking magic obviously

i cashed out my entire roll now except 100 dollars and i gotta say 2nl is fucking hard if you play only like 200 hands every two weeks and you run colder than the fucking alpines

hahaha

whatever im drinking now with whatever money i have left in atlanta haha ship the degenness

i love you lp. fucking represent!! haha

GL

edit

on a serious note, i decided to actually try to go to all of my classes this next semester. it's supposed to be my last year at school and i really want to leave it on a good note, even though after my last year's abysmal performance (1 C 2 Ds 3Fs lol fuck yeah), i got my full ride fucking cut off and now i have to pay for school (omg what the fuck unbelievable considering i am of korean descent =O)

plus i more or less have a girlfriend now and i really want to show her what i can really achieve if i try instead of showing her what a lazy fuck i am.

i also i got job with my friend's dad, who wants to train me so i can manage all of his business interests from now on (lol wtf are you srs? hahahahaha)

anyways,

in conclusion, poker sux (or i suck at poker), and life goes on hahaha

fuck

drink less imo

edit2

it's fucking difficult to fix all of your grammatical mistakes in your blog while you're still wasted as fuck...

at least the computer at this rental house doesn't have pokerstars installed or my 100 dollars would be reduced to shit as i try my luck at 100nl with 1 buyin lolololol

hahaha oh wait i think i can install it

i will update you guys on my progress hahahahaha

thinking about quitting by 21drful, August 05

Im really just tried of poker at the moment. I feel like the need for me to play poker is over taking the other important things in my life. I think it has to do with my session the other day, which was a success. Had a conversation with a guy at my HU table, Dr Game Theory, he and I have become good friends and we were just talking about how nitty HU has become on FTP and its just gay, for the lack any articulation.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/294974e2d93a5e966b7ac64faa1c24d8.png
My goal this summer was to make enough money where I could go out with my friends and have a good time not worry about money. Pretty much be a baller. Going into college I really cant see myself putting in the hours I can now. Meh, I think i just need to get away from poker for a while. I just dont find the enjoyment out of it, that I used to. I used to be a losing player but though this forum and reading Ive been winning a decent amount. Yea, most of this probably is a whine and dumb shit but I really think i need a break

WCOOP staking by nutshot, August 05

hey all

just trying to financially plan out the next couple of months including WCOOP.

i was wondering if there'd be any interest in people buying %'s of me. obviously i'm going to have at least half of myself in all events that i play since i have the money now, but i might want to reduce variance a little especially in the bigger events, namely the main event.

i'm not for sure selling pieces, but i just kind of wanted to get an interest list going. i'll bump this maybe every two weeks or something leading up to WCOOP season.

if you're interested, indicate what events and how much (either $$ or % wise) you'd want to get in on.

this is by no means binding on either end, just wondering if there's any interest at all or if it looks like i'll be buying in myself to all the events i want to play

-mike

edit: pms are cool too if you'd rather pm me. but even if i have your msn/aim, just let me know somehow on LP (comment/pm) so that i have it saved when i come to look at it come WCOOP time

edit 2: check 1st comment

reposting this for probably the second to last time in case people didn't see it the last time around. either post here or PM me.

Up and Down we go by Spitfiree, August 05

Started the month with 20nl shot again... just like last month sadly i ran just as last month as well .... made 2k hands over 3days ( 3rd day just stopped at 350th hand ) and lost 13 buy ins <3333 it was mix between insane bad run & frustration and semi tilt.
I went back to 10nl now gonna do 20k hands over 7-8 days.Hopefully i ll beat it 5bb/100 which would be pretty normal imo and take another shot on 20nl.
Im not rly sure if there s any difference between the limits but it was very frustrating to not get ANY value at all and getting all ur bluffs & float cbets called.I suck tho cant blame the soft or anything for not beating 20nl

How bad I run tilts the fuck out of me by Night2o1, August 05

I am beginning to feel cursed when it comes to poker. Just straight up cursed.

I get it in ahead AQ vs A5? A five on the flop.

I get it in marginally QJ vs TT? J on the flop, T on the turn.

I look to get some value out of my middle pair? He is floating to the river with QT and hits top pair.

I valuetown a guy's QQ with my two pair? Of course he turned the set and just calls me down through the river.

ALL IN THE SAME HU TURBO MATCH LOL! Standard match for me.

So I tilted off another 3 buyins at 10NL after getting called all-in PF by a huge donkey with 95o vs my QQ, getting busted, and some other suckout I can't remember.

I don't know. Shit needs to start going my way but I am not going to have a bankroll anymore at this rate.

Very disappointed.

july and start of august by Robinson47, August 05

July went OK avoided playing any mtts concentrated on cash mostly nl100 heads up and a bit of 6 max, didnt play many weekend days cos i was hungover, and went to turkey for a week in the middle of the month.

Now onto august, has been a disaster
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/798b2db2928ba9c0a6c7682ab7b5eb83.png
on sunday i thought after 2 hours sleep on the saturday night i thought it would b a good idea to play 3/6 hu on the laptop against non other than Ket, of course i got merked and lost about $2.5k to him. not recorded on pokertracker cos it was on laptop, only got my laptop fixed the other day and i really find it hard to win while on the vaio so from now on no more poker on the laptop(and no more playing superior players....).

last 2 and a half months worth hands recorded on my pc.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/3d3d988de3784cc5cb4c7de15452d126.png

Playing in a $2000+160 live donkament in Luton for the GUKPT on thursday-sunday will play a few side events if i get knocked out of the main. So in preperation i will play a few tournaments online tomoro as painful as it may be.

Best of luck to all the low/midstakes grinders and keep bossing them tables fazi.

so the challenge started ^^ by Luckb0xx, August 05

sorry for the delay, ive had some serious issues in reallife that kept me away from playing for 2 weeks already now.. First days of my NL10 challenge (which was a NL20 challenge first but then we decided to play on party) ~~

Me plays NL10 20k hands and try to beat my mate who will play NL100 over 20k hands in the winrate ~~

http://i35.tinypic.com/246m4on.jpg

Will probably take me a while to play 20k hands because i still dont have a lot of time to play concentrated at all ~~

ultimate quest, the beginning by HighTimes, August 05

I'm starting my blog to write about my ultimate quest to be ballin!

But first, I'll introduce you with my short poker history. I came here from TL.net, lead by curiousity, "why do all starcraft players started playing poker, whats so good about it?". Got interested. Espacially after I watched several episodes of High Stakes Poker.
So, as any noob, I don't wanted to risk my money, but really wanted to try out. Singed up for a free $50 on Titan Poker. Of course, the very first thing i did, was lose $40... Then somehow i caught up to $20 playing very tight shortstack microstakes. But such play can drive you mad, especially if you're new and still don't have the patience. So long story short, I went broke... Well ALMOST broke! I was left with about $0.5. This is where my ultimate quest to become a baller begins!

So you may ask "what can you do with $0.5?"
Here's the answer!

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/633/0808042ndin10cbitourneywh6.jpg

Yup! $0.1 BI tourneys lol! This shot is made after finishing second in 10ppl/0.1BI tourney. Before going broke, I already grasped a lot of things in microstakes, and I had practised microtourneys as well, so I obviously CAN win. It's just that, I sometimes lack the most important thing - patience!

So today is my second day of my quest and I'm glad to show you the results! A whooping $0.5 for a 1st place in same tourney! I've got a f*cking dolla now!!!

http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/2452/0808051ndin10cbitourneydv8.jpg

This tournament was really nerve-wracking, as I, being one of 4ppl left, was almost out with 500chips (BB=200), but my desperate all-in was called by the chip leader and I finally got lucky. Little by little rebuilding my way to top, I could finally feel the relief, when i had 13k vs 2k chips.

-----------------

So now, my friends, here I will ask for your guidance as to what would be a better way to complete my quest!

I will consider my quest as finished, when I reach $1000. Then I will start playing poker

So my plan should be to play nanotourneys till i reach $5? $10? What should I do then?

And I also wanted to expand my knowledge by asking some simple questions:

Is overpair - a pocket pair that is higher that any card on the flop?

Is underpair - a pocket pair that is lower than the highest card on the flop?

What is "aggro"?

Ok, that's about it. Till next time and I hope there will be such! Wish me luck! >.<

poker math geeks by vegable, August 04

needed here:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/blog/viewblog.php?id=532896

Clear something up there, thanks.

So I played a 3v3 bgh game that lasted like, 1 hour today because my allies sucked and I had to nuke noobies and bark orders at the same time. By the time that game was over my eyes were on the cusp of bleeding so I had to compensate by resting and playing a 1100 hand session.
