Fuck retarded runner runners:

Fuck this guy too:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/498872

This guy slow rolled me with quads, then made a straight vs my top set. YAY.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/498743

Oh you want to know something else that's just delightful? Sitting on the wrong side of an 80/40 and an 80/22 and missing every flop every single time.

--;

I know 7 buyins isn't exactly unheard of in omaha but come on... boat vs quads THREE TIMES in one day?

I might abort the august grind just because I don't want to play on tilt. We'll see.

Btw I in no way blame this solely on variance, I am a tagfish when it comes to omaha, huge leaks, but the beats were fairly brutal today.

EDIT: Here's my total graph for omaha, I find the end pretty hilarious :D

ship shup shap by hansen jr., August 04

Had a fun weekend, first going out on friday and standard shipped, then went to a festival in östersund called storsjöyran on saturday where i met up with nicksson who turned out to be a really cool guy even though he was really drunk from the moment i met him to the moment we lost eachother. Anyways we got there, had a few beers in our car then headed out for a party of some of his friends. It was right behind one scene so we didnt even have to buy a ticket to see the music, we did not stay there for too long though since our mission was to meet up with my friends in the camping area.

Anyways, we didnt really know that you could buy yourself in to that are for $10 so we decided to try to jump over the fence. The first fence was np to jump over but it turned out that they had double fences and in the middle there was guards patrolling, and they obviously had dogs to make our lives even worse. So the guards spot us and the dogs start barking at us so we all shit in our pants and jump back in 0,5 seconds except for nicksson who decides to "own the dogs" as he yelled to me when I told him to jump the fuck back. Anyways nicksson somehow got out of there, with a hole in his pants though. I did not find him after that though and my cellphone ran out of power at that moment, standard. So we went and payed that $10 lol and had a pretty good night in there.

<---- me, nicksson ----->

Struggling with Moving Up by DrawingThin, August 04

Moved up to NL50 6max at end of July with a bankroll of about 1.4k.
Its been really swingy so far. One day Im up 2 BI, the next day I lose it right back.

Been running somewhat bad (I think) but definitely playing REALLY BAD.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/87c9eafe0ad6a3f01ecda6c710d6a200.jpg

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/e5e1a1c725298f1476ddc2e8d803778f.jpg

The problem is that I'm way more passive in NL50 than in NL25. When the passive fish (you know the 70/2 type)
start raising postflop and the pot starts getting big, I get the shit scared out of me. I either slow down or fold
when I know very well I should be shoving.

Here are my stats which is pretty fugly.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/35849ceb39be979a2a4c2c44278d4283.jpg

Im running at 17/13 when i usually do 19/16 at nl25 so I'm definitely more passive. I dont like my 3bet %... I didnt get
alot of AA,KK,QQ,AK in these runs but I'm also not 3betting light either. my WTSD is so low its scary so Im giving up too easily.

I have tons of leaks in my game. I definitely need help but Im not sure which resource is best for me. A coach will be pretty expensive which I probably cant afford. CR/DC/Leggo sub seem to be more geared towards MSNL. I really think I need a few live sweat sessions and/or go over HH

Cheers
Mike

First week by danycbd, August 04

Hi LP
I started playing poker serious a week ago and I will post here my results from time to time.I started with a 200$ bankroll ,played ~35k hands this week and made 200$ at NL5+NL10 and another 100$ spending my FPP's in 210 FPP satellite's to 200K GTD and unregister +some HU.
I have prety small BB/100 because of a bad beat streak at NL10 and some stupid mistakes I did.Anyway 300$ is good for this week.My BR is now 500$ and I will go up at 25NL when I reach 625$.

Day 4 by TianYuan, August 04

Lol I'm stuck and want to play more! So I might.

Whenever I am at a table where people minraise I just end up being a super weak passive =[ Played pretty bad vs them. Next session I play I'm gonna try to play less pots from the blinds, even to minraises. At least with the hands that aren't gonna flop strong enough multiway to continue with even when I do hit the flop a little bit.

I need to take some time before I make decisions, I noticed I made a few bluffs or calls where I really wasn't thinking through the situation anywhere near properly..

Hands

Maybe I should bet this hand on the flop, at first I thought I had just the bottom end and was going to c/f. Hrm, although getting blown off sucks so I guess this is fine too..
+ Show Spoiler +

Snapcalled on every street, I think I should abstain from making these bluffs without some kind of read.
+ Show Spoiler +

Here we have another hand where I'm thinking but not really thinking.. IE, I'm thinking "my hand looks weak.. I block AA, I call" when I could just as well think "my hand looks like a jack, and he's potting, he probably has something". Bleh, I guess I don't HATE it because it's a very weird line..
+ Show Spoiler +

Call, snapcall, instashove.. I almost wanted to call since I had the Ah but he's a super loose passive fish.
+ Show Spoiler +

I think a 3bet preflop here would be pretty good, on the flop I think call is for the best.. On the river I can probably valuebet something at least.
+ Show Spoiler +

Hrmmmmmmmmmmmm. Hrmhpg. Villain is 19/2/6. Bet/call turn? c/c turn? If c/c turn, c/c any river -.-? Bleh I really didn't want to fold this but his stats looked so nitty. I mean, I GUESS there's a bunch of flushdraws he could play this way now that I checked to him.. I don't know.
+ Show Spoiler +

This felt weird, sort of like a float.. I sort of wanted to call here.
+ Show Spoiler +

Biggest spew of the day Note to self: you don't have to shove trashy flushdraws on paired boards just because it's a 3bet pot.
+ Show Spoiler +

Oh come on, why did you slowplay!
+ Show Spoiler +

Flipaments.
+ Show Spoiler +

Can probably fold turn.
+ Show Spoiler +

Raised too big on turn.
+ Show Spoiler +

This hand happened at the same time as the hand above, so I pretty much snapcalled. I'm not sure it's great.
+ Show Spoiler +

Maybe I need to check behind this river... I didn't really put him on a boat on turn since he didn't raise flop (but 9T probably doesn't, which is something I never remember). However, hands like QJTX etc did hit on river. Ah well..
+ Show Spoiler +

Raise/calling this flop this deep seems potentially extremely gross, so I elected to flat.
+ Show Spoiler +

To quote day[9]: push button, recieve bacon.
+ Show Spoiler +

Ended up making what's probably a really bad fold here, heh. Didn't really think I could valuebet it and with two people in I felt like the NF was bound to be out there. But a call is probably mandatory with these odds..
+ Show Spoiler +

Donkbets like this confuse me to no end. . . Briefly considered shoving river since his hand does sort of look like 2 pair~ish, problem is I guess he could have also picked up a flushdraw on turn..
+ Show Spoiler +

I want this guys luckbox..
+ Show Spoiler +

A momentary lapse of reason.
+ Show Spoiler +

Coolers/beats
+ Show Spoiler +

Top boat vs quads, oh well!

Poker-related stuff. by Artanis[Xp], August 04

So, after restarting two days ago, I've been running decently I guess. Still kinda looking for a coach for a bit, but I'm running fine as demonstrated in the stats below.
http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/57/statslm8.jpg

Some hands I'd like to get a second opinion on:
Hand 1: Villain is 36/13/1.4, not sure if I should push river or not.
+ Show Spoiler +

Hand 2: Villain is an extreme calling station at 55/0/1. His flop raise had me confused. I guess I should still reraise him hard though. River seems like a clear bet/fold situation.
+ Show Spoiler +

Hand 3: No stats, I think it's pretty bad in hindsight, but I wouldn't know the ideal line here.
+ Show Spoiler +

Hand 4: Should I really fold flop? He's giving me great odds. Again, I didn't have my Pahud working here so no stats.
+ Show Spoiler +

Hand 5: There were a lot of possible draws that missed, so I thought there's a good chance he might have a missed draw here. Is the river call bad?
+ Show Spoiler +

Hand 6: Not sure about the flop line here.
+ Show Spoiler +

Thanks in advance for advice, and gl at the tables.

how much do i cash out and leave myself by shaneomac, August 04

im going up to jersey today to stay with wired_c4 til friday or so, and im going to further learn razz and hopefully be beating midstakes or decent stakes by time i leave, but i also plan to get into playing some more tourneys on ftp and some occasional ones on stars. i wanna cash out the remaining money i have in my accounts except for the amount i need. the tourneys on ftp i was looking @ are the 4 24+2's per night, and also the 55 1r1a and maybe the 33 1r1a. so in addition to the razz money ima need for my BR, which is probly somewhere in the range or 3-4k, will this amount also suffice for the tourneys i wanna play, this assuming im a winning player @ both. i would need i figure 100BI for tourneys, which 4k mostly covers, and also 150-200BB for razz. does this seem right to anyone or am i vastly overestimating something. if im wrong about either let me know, even if u dont know much about BR management for the other. thanks in advance

biggest pot won for the day:
+ Show Spoiler +

Most of the time the biggest pot won and biggest pot lost is something standard, but this hand is actually quite interesting to me. I think AQ is one of the hardest hands to play, especially in big pots, and even more so out of position. The way I tend to go about it is instead of hating it and groaning like I used to, I use it as a great all round hand.
In a nutshell, I could have AQ at anytime, whether I'm calling, raising, squeezing, shoving, or folding. Learning good balance with all your hands I've learned is key, and again AQ in my book is one of the hardest ones for me to profitably do correctly.
I had no hud up at the time of this hand as PAHUD did some error violation thing and had to be restarted after I had brought up a new table. I should find out why it does this. I've learned when this happens, the hud will not be coming back up at the table until the hand you are playing is over, so don't even bother waiting.
Anyhow, both the cutoff opener and the button where LAGGY types and so that made me instinctively want to squeeze while ahead here. I had the squeeze all made out and ready to fire, but decided last second mixing it up was better. Then when I flopped TPTK and found myself out of position in a three way pot, I made a plan right there. The flop raise really surprised me though, and I did tank before calling on the turn, but deduced he put me on a draw, and most of the times villain would not be overbet/shoving a set.
comments/bashing etc welcome

my headphones are smelly by Day[9], August 04

this is the weirdest fucking thing

so i always workout/run and listen to music at the same time. I also have the fucking amazingly PERFECT Bose TPA1 headphones

http://di1.shopping.com/images/di/4c/...f76464a79536476343451-100x100-0-0.jpg

these headphones are like PERFECT sound quality and amazing in every way. however... they have this soft cushy felt ear thing that i GUESS finally absorbed enough sweat to start smelling like fucking ass.

this is bad news because (considering how much i wear them) my ears might start smelling bad now. you think bad BREATH is bad, what would you think if you were hitting on a girl... and here EARS smelled fucking weird

anyone have any ear cleaning advice??? :[
