Friday Night = Mad Fish
tae-g, May 04 2007
I just finished my last final exam, but all my friends have exams tomorrow morning so not partying tonight I just played a quick session and decided to quit while I was ahead because I had a swingy session last night. I think there must be mad fish playing on friday nights or something because they did all the work for me stacking off with TPGK and air all session.

Feeling Great

I only have 1 final exam left until schools out, and I just played the best session of my career. I've dropped down to 4-tables and I've been trying to concentrate hard every single hand. If it weren't for 2 suckouts I'd be up ~$85 on the day (a lot for me), but I didn't even mind the two beats much because I could tell I was playing my A game. (One was AI on the flop my TT vs his overcards and he hit one on the river, the other was my set of aces vs his flush draw AI on the turn).
I do have one question to pose to you guys though...
Is this horrible? I know folding sets at micro is so weak and this was probably free money, but I had bottom set and I knew it would doomswitch me if it was set over set or he sucked out a flush or he had a combo draw or something so I let it go.

I just redefined "running hot"

Check it...

Probably even still missed a lot of value on my flopped sets because I'm still too timid at 25NL.

New Classes at Uni
tae-g, Apr 06 2007
I just registered for my next classes for school. I found it funny that several(my probability, statistics, and psychology classes) could/will have applications to poker.
I've been testing the water at 25NL FR. So far it seems extremely beatable, but I didn't have an amazing day due to hitting my set of 5's on a ace high flop only to run into AA for quite a large pot.
Cheers
Thanks for the Advice All

Im playing less tables and focusing much much more on each hand I'm involved in. I winning at a pretty steady rate again. I feel like making good folds is going to be more important to my success than anything else. Thanks to all who've helped me out and given advice. <3 LP.net
DOWNSWINGAMENTS
tae-g, Apr 02 2007
I'm in a nasty downswing in both 6-max and FR 10NL. Basically I'm looking for some advice on how to get my confidence back. Also, if I want to watch movies on dual monitors while I nutpeddle, FR is better than 6-max correct?
