I'm in a nasty downswing in both 6-max and FR 10NL. Basically I'm looking for some advice on how to get my confidence back. Also, if I want to watch movies on dual monitors while I nutpeddle, FR is better than 6-max correct?

The best run of my career I was 9 tabling 6-max for like 10ptbb/100, but it seems like after spring break Im either running bad or way off my game or something because Im getting killed.

depends on how many tables you are comfortable with.....if you really think you're spewing, play 4 and think really really hard.

I play 6-8 and play like 17/15 with no problems, but I got like 100k hands of NL50 under my belt (yes I fucking sucked)

dude, it seems like EVERYONE is having a downswing. My advice, keep on playing. Because of my downswing my skill level has increased dramatically because when you're on a good run you think you're hot shit. When you keep getting sucked out by runner runner, flush vs flush, set vs set, you start to rethink your skills and become motivated to play better.

My advice since ppl give it to me: Read read read, review your hand history on pokertracker and look at what you did wrong because I'm pretty sure you are playing incorrectly (especially since you're at 10nl)

Keep on playing and forget about the money, it's only 10nl, learning is much more important.

And don't tilt, it's very very bad for the health.

I'm in a downswingament too... I didnt know what to do. I changed my style to an Ultra nitty one and it was even worse lol... IE: raise AhKh: flop 6s7s8s and stuff like that... or have QQ, raise, got reraised, call, flop T66, the other player shows TTT66... sick bad beats...

So, in conclusion, Id like a tip for this downswings as well... I feel fucking bad T_T

nutfuckingpeddle NL5 and NL10
you should not have problems moving up, because you play the safest way possible without spewing. If youre not doing well anyways then its either donkey or tiltplay that force u to keep movign down (like i did)

play like 6-7 tables, and pay attention to timing/bet sizes obv. You really have to think over EACH hand. Take notes on the players

it took me 2 1/2 MONTHS to fix my tilting. my br took a wild ride :
$200-->400--> 160 --> 40 --> 200 --> 130 --> 30 ---> $300 --> $1000 (Current, ship)

If you're getting killed it's because your not beating the game. You have tons of leaks, use PT to find them. You have most likely spewy habits and you should defientely look to eliminate even small spews that you make on a regular basis. You are far too dependent on your cards and results of big showdowns to beat the game.

Theres no such thing as a bad run. I think almost all bad runs are mostly bad poker.

I believe that is almost certian fact until 100NL because at 200NL the edge you have over your opponents shrinks dramatically and you have to find new ways to win. At this point if you're not winning its bad poker not bad run.
