Makes poker fun, idk why I used to always push myself so hard to play max tables etc. That shit burns you out so fast.

Guess if I played FR 24 tables would still seem suitable though

Anyways hope everyones doing well,

Neilly where is the Bluefire video you made for them?
It's been a really long time since your announcement, are you still recording a series or something I can't see you in the list of pros or in announcements?

I've read some comments of you in the handhistory section. I've come to the conclusion that all your advice is basicly shit. I think you need 4 tables max in order to get to understand NLHE online cashgames. I don't mean to offend you or bash you or whatever. But after all this time playing poker you still don't know how to beat very easy cash games online.

no offence but 1+

have been writing countercomments so many times telling u how wrong some advice u give in HH's are, but i just feel like it would make me a dick so ive just erased my comment in the end instead of posting it

but really, u dont seem to understand deeperstack poker at all, u should really just stick to tourneys

and again no offence

um, i'm an mtter.

i made $180k on stars and FTP my last 18 months playing before 4/15. (profit, although some was staked)

i havent been a cashgame grinder in like 2-3 yrs and all advice i give on lp is a joke usually

i take it as constructive critism though, and will work hard on my 6max games to be solid once again ;-)

Neilly, i'm a douchebag wherever I feel I should be a douchebag.
You claim you made 180k in mtt's yet whenever I read a post of you there is always a line with "gonna use it to pay off some debts". Whenever I look you up on PTR you are in the red. And so on and so on.
In my eyes you are not creditworthy when it comes to poker or use of money. Besides this I don't hate you, you may actually be a good lad that I don't know of.

But I feel I should say something about your comments in HH's and you picking up coaching (this may be old but..). That's why I'm posting here.
When you realize that poker is a game of holding together your emotions combined with strategic intelligence and work ethic you might just for once in your life make a profit in cashgames. If you can show me that you can 4table nl50 for 100k hands without adding tables or moving up during this 100k sample, I will admit that you've learned work ethic. During this sample you might actually learn a thing or two about 6m cash games.

stop ignoring peoples advice ffs EVERYONE SAYS THE SAME THING

bitch on a pension suck my dong

NeillyJQ   United States. Jul 27 2011 12:35. Posts 8947

gorok you're right, my ptr is shit and i've def went through alot wasting $ in cashgames when i was pure mtter

nowaday on merge the mtt sample sucks so im gonna just play 6m there and a few mtts at nighttime

about what i made, that obv doesnt matter, and yeah i did dump like 30k on stars during those 18 months and was staked for probably 25-35k of what i won

use scope and opr me if u want to look up where im skillful, use ptr for laughs :-)

altho i am learning 6max and will b very solid again imo, atleast enuf to own nl100 6m which would make me happy for suplementary since mtt selection sucks these days

frink nobody has seen me play in months and i avg 10k a month prior to that, i'll take the advice that i suck at cashgames n will keep working on it.

a generalized "i suck" its obviously not the truth. results are online to prove it.

Well I don't want to join the bandwagon but yeah your comments in HH are terribad most of the time.
You're a really good tournament player tho , so I guess if you try your best and listen to people way better than you , you should be succesfull in CG too ...
But really you should assume you're a begginer in CG , because you are ...

This. If you banked 180k$ two years playing MTT, then it certainly should be something you should consider doing 95 % of your poker time.

is tourney poker and cash this different?

and it always seems that cash game players adjust better to tournaments the other way around why is this?

so much poker theory is applicable to both imo, cash is deeper i suppose, but aren't events like the main event super deep stack?

waga   United Kingdom. Jul 27 2011 19:39. Posts 2375

Cash game players play with 100+ bb
Tournament players play with ~20 bb

Cash game is deeper so more complex (by far)

one is dramatically higher variance then the other...

think about it.

I dont understand this "long run" shit in poker. Totally applicable to cash games provided you have the roll, but tournies? Man...you can be making a +EV move calling from BB that runs into the top of his button jamming range and just bust a tourney. Where's the edge???

terrybunny19240   United States. Jul 28 2011 09:58. Posts 13829

your edge isn't reflected in the results of every single tourney just as it isn't for the results of each cash game session -_-

well it could be if you played really, REALLY long cash game sessions.

Not really because you'd end up playing -ev because you're supertired

it'd still be somewhat representative of your play during the sample though being supertired and playing -ev is a separate issue.
