Business milestone

Hey guys,

I haven't had time for poker since I've been a bit too busy as well losing a bit of desire to play (since I kinda got my fix from earlier).

On another note, here's a nice little milestone on the business. Sorry, it only goes 3 months back so I don't have January, but you can do the math.

Feb: 2634 pieces sold, $26,019.67 sales
March: 3722 pieces sold, $43,004.07 sales

April so far: 1472 pieces sold, $19,332.48 sales

Total for the year: 9555 pieces sold, $106,062.68 sales (yay 6 figure milestone)

Our margins are very good . Holidays included, hopefully we can hit a million this year. We hit a little rough patch the first few months because of constant shortage in stock and getting design done. You can see there's a big increase in sales month to month, and that's because we were selling a small portion of our inventory until recently (needed to wait for a design + takes a lot of work to put up the way we do it). There's also the issue of operating out of our tiny 3 bedroom apartment.

Sorry for not having blogged or posted about poker in a while, but I've been really busy and I might also be visiting Korea this month. I was thinking about just splurging on playing some heads up since Teng's already up like $1600 and I'm totally going to lose the bet (I haven't played so I'm actually still DOWN lol).

damn this is all online sales? sick. im having a hard time getting people to sign up let alone buy stuff ROFL

how do i promote this when all ive got going for me is that i sell really low prices? like if they sell say 60usd i can sell for 40usd and still have decent margins. all this online poker staying at home zero social life is not helping lol

lol this!

as a business man you know that posting revenue doesn't mean much to us at all... so not sure why you are showing this to us because only you know how much you are making

also it would appear your business is growing but how much of that is cyclic? i'm sure the fact it's spring and summer is approaching is helping sales

i'm just wondering how good the margins can really be as it seems their market should be leaning towards perfect competition?

anyways if it really is that profitable more sellers will naturally enter and prices will drop... such is economics

good for them though that they seem to be in it at a good time (if the margins are really that good) and are putting in the work

The way we do business is different than most. Some of our products have profit margins are 20%, and some are over 100%. I would give you some hard numbers if I could, but all I can do is estimate the average since we're piggybacking all the work between the two of us and only just started speaking to an accountant .

i never said it was... i just figured it was similar in some ways

-many firms selling similar products that are fairly replaceable with each other
-no real barriers to entry i would assume
-sellers and buyers probably have a good idea of prices... market really dictates the price
-established business doesn't have huge advantage over newer ones

that's great you are doing well just hearing the margins were high surprised me but i wasn't thinking about more specialized items though and all different sorts of accessories

that's awesome man... i'm definitely surprised by that as i figured prices would be really competitive selling online

keep putting in work while the market is so good!
