lol wat, Amanda es sloppy and will get clinched and taken down by Ronda with ease, as long as Ronda doesnt return like absolute crap this should be an easy win.

i disagree my friend. do not get me wrong i like ronda but she is coming from a loss and it caused her mental issues. unless she is mentally strong like dominic cruz is, she will have difficulty getting back to a 100% pure winning mentality. to defeat nunes she must destroy her. but that will be impossible if she even has a single speck of doubt in her mind.

i believe ronda is doing this only for the money.

p.s. because she knows she will lose.

confidence shot, invulnerability cloak gone. she's going to put up a good fight on the ground but standing up I feel she will be really tested this time since people saw what happens if you keep your distance and not brawl with her. nunes is long just like holly and is a far better striker with some more snap to it. on the ground even with her jiujitsu i think ronda still finds a way but nunes is no slouch there either.

Ronda is going to smash Nunes imo. Rousey is at -190 wich is super fucking ev+, the lines are going to change quickly since a lot of people are going to bet on ronda.

Its not just a matter of not brawling, it requires a particular set of well polished skills to avoid the clinch, it requires you to be able to fire long jabs bouncing back, stationary straight rights, check-hooks, general angling out and good ring awareness, Nunez doesnt have any of those skills, she has no way to avoid the clinch, she will swing wild as she always have and she will get caught.

The only other woman besides Holly with decent odds to beat Ronda is Cyborg and she is also a sloppy striker that will fall in the clinch but she is so strong she might be able to shake Ronda off

Completely agree with value on Rousey and the notion that Holm being somparable to Nunes is just wrong in my opinion. Nunes is an aggressive semi brawler (improved technically recently) who can fight long but doesn't always choose to do so. Holm always chooses to fight long (her beating of the air in front of Valentina was serious business) and does that effectively when someone charges in like Ronda. On top of much better lateral movement from Holly. Anything can happen obviously but if Nunes doesn't smash that chin real early, rondas eventually gonna duck and grab into a judo throw where Nunes should have nothing for her.

This is banking on Ronda having mentally recovered (more than good enough chance) and not bring derailed by some terrible game plan from her bogus trainer

Ronda has always fought with emotions, usually angry. Fighters usually talk shit but at the end of the fight they become "friends" (sonnen, mcgregor, diaz bros, etc.), Ronda is angry for real as she refused to shake hand with Miesha at the end of their last fight, she fought mad against Correia and Holm too. I think she is gonna fight like always and win easily.

ronda should have taken an easier fight like shevchenko.

LOL , value on Rousey at -200.

Nunes is miles better than Ronda on the feet, with black belt in bjj. Not saying that Ronda coming out tossing Nunes around and armbaring her is not a plausible outcome, but with Rousey now obvious leaks in the stand up with Edmond as a coach, I don't think she will survive the 1st round. She was getting tagged multiple times against Miesha Tate and even Bethe Correia catched her a couple times. Imagine what Nunes is going to do to her, she is devastating in the 1st round.

I dont get why this happens SO often, a fighter claims he is free agent, the UFC says they are still under Zuffa contract... why?

He had a x-fight contract, stepped away and now that he wants to fight again he is facing USADA/Reebok, which voinds the contract. i believe thats what his attorny is claiming or trying to claim

The UFC says it's a ZUFFA contract however WME IMG now owns the UFC. So not sure what that contract really means now.

longple: ur missing the point! this is an attempt to get away from the bumhuntmentality!

Its extremely hard to imagine another company taking over or stricter drug testing suddenly voids all contracts. I feel like it went down like this:

GSP: I want more money.
UFC: Um, you already have a contract.
GSP: Well, I'm leaving then.
UFC: Um, you already have a contract.

The whole problem was sponsors most likely. He use to make millions with Under armor. Now with Reebok, he would get like 1000$ lol. I guess the UFC did not want to compensate in fight bursary. I think Dana prefers the welterweight division without GSP. Hoping to grow Wonderboy into a star. I think he should keep GSP in his back pocket to dethrone Maia when he gets the belt. Maia is a nightmare for the whole division.

I mean i dont know what contracts there are between Canada and the USA, but if the arent some special ones, GSP can just tell them to fuck off even if he has a standing contract, he wont be able to ever fight in the USA again though.

Sux when a corporation is essentially killing a sport, cause the most profitable decision for them would not be the ones that would benefit the sport itself, which is understandable, but still fucked up.

yeah I get that GSP has many reasons to try to get the contract thrown away but why claim it has been thrown away when it hasnt, that shit has to be decided first before making any announcements by any party

why are they killing the sport? GSP signed a contract for X fights and he decided to leave before that, the UFC is in all of its right to not let him fight somewhere else
