Aloha,
I guess I'll jump the bandwagon here and try to catch your attention.
I'm currently playing NL10. I was playing NL100 and NL200 a couple of years ago, but I stopped due to life tilt and lack of fun while playing and cashed out my roll. I rediscovered the fun in poker a couple of months ago while playing a small home cash game with friends, so I took it back up. I didn't feel like I should just redeposit and start where I left off b/c the game obviously evolved and I forgot a lot, so I started all the way on the bottom at NL5.
Currently kinda suffering from fancy play syndrome and not really knowing what to defend blinds with and how to handle 3betting.

All in all:
Hopefully NL25 SH again soon.
Working on HU play.
Math student from Germany about to graduate.
More disciplined than most (I guess, but maybe not in relation to poker yet :>

Would be great to hear from you.

oh and yea, stakes up to 2/4eur, thinking about becoming a pro, been playing for over 5 years now
I'd be grateful if you wanted to sweat me for one hour or so, having someone to 'look after' me in my journey to 5/10+ (gonna take another shot there soon) would be freakin awesome !!!

When people ask: What nationality is this guy raking in all the pots? The answer invariably comes back Poland, Poland. Again and again - Karma

Whether I win or not, I think it's pretty awesome you are doing something like this and giving back to LP

Anyways, I have been playing poker for about a little over a year now, and I am currently at NL25 6max. I have never been a losing player, and have withdrawn a decent amount of money(probly around 700-800), but I feel with the way I study poker, the amount of podcasts I listen to, articles I read, training videos I watch, etc. that I do not feel my results are up to snuff with my expectations.

I'm a very active forum member and am trying to give my advice on hands/players/etc, but making sure I do not value my opinion over others here, as I know I still have a lot to learn about poker. I truly just love the game and want to whatever it takes to get better

background: started playing playmoney while working on nightshift. company went broke late 2006, so i traded some playmoney and slowly build BR from there. playing 50nl/100nl for a living since 2007.

I have feelings very very similar to your post.

I'll throw my name in the hat, I play mostly 2/4-5/10nlhe but would want the coaching @ 5/10.

stakes: NL25/NL50
game: 6m
background: i've been playing online for about a year now and i have worked up to NL50 from NL10/NL25 MULTIPLE times. however, my runs at NL50 have been pretty poor EV wise, and probably play wise as well. unfortunately i feel like those big -EV shots at NL50 have really hindered my game a lot. it has caused me to fear losing way too much / fear variance way too much, and what used to be nothing but confidence about my game and poker has made me reluctant to even play and put in the volume neccesary. i am just looking for guidance really. it would be great to have someone be able to sweat me because i don't think i necessarily need long term coaching, but i really do feel like i need someone to watch me play and give me feed back. i don't have any real poker friends that play at high levels and i feel like it would do wonders for my game to see whether or not i am actually playing as well as i think i am. I don't feel like i am a losing player and i have worked very hard on my game. plus i am assuming that you are Korean or Korean/American as I am (automatic +1 i hope..).. and I would also be curious to ask a couple questions about poker, how its affected your life culturally (parents, church, friends, etc.) and whether or not its something worthwhile to pursue with the state of the games. thanks for this opportunity.

nl100 FR

I've been playing a for few years now just for some pocket money, but for the past ~250k hands I've been taking the game alot more seriously. I wanna to move up stakes more rapidly and I think this opportunity would help me alot, I dont wanna be one of those guys who grinds out nl100 for years, I recently took a shot at nl200 but it went horrible, I play pretty loose/aggro compared to most regs at my limit, but im starting to think it wont work as well at nl200 so im in the process of changing my play abit, it would be nice to have someone point me in the right direction.

I dont know what a dt drop is. Is it a wrestling move? -Oly

This is what I do, i try and play from 10-11am to 5-6pm every day, when im finished my session, everyone else is coming back from work.
Poker becomes really life consuming when you play evenings - prob the worst for tourney players since all the really juicy tourney don't begin untill 6pm-10pm. That is by far the worst lifestyle. The way I run it it's basially a job in terms of the hours of operation and volume. It's really nice to have a semi-stable job. I almost never break this for any reason (obv reasons would be a enourmous elephant)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

Hey I pm'ed you andrew

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

I play 6max nl 100 and 200 and feel like i've made solid progress. I'm dieing to get better but at the moment I am extremely frustrated as I don't feel like I know how to get better anymore. All through out my short poker career there are some small things I've constantly been able to work on but at the moment it's almost killing me because I am almost lost because I feel like I've hit my ceiling and this is maddeningly soul crushing.

I'm still ambitious but the naruto-like fervor and determination to get better at this game is waning. It's just so sick and hard considering how isolating poker is. Once you get better by yourself you are usually unwilling to help others due to the hardships and isolation you yourself went through. And if you are seeking advice people who reached higher stakes by themselves once again are somewhat resentful in giving advice.

but yea. i would love coaching. i wanna be one of the god damn best.

I think you play a relatively unique style, and alot of that may be wasted on a micro/low player. I still play nl200 FR for a living (for ~3yrs now) I think the sweat would be very interesting for me to learn your approach/mindset.

Anyway like I said, I think alot of your talents would be wasted on lower level players, so if you ended up sweating the hour with me I'd 'pay it forward' and give someone else in this thread a sweat from me.

GL in life.

i play fullring, mainly nl200, a little bit of nl400, and ive taken a small shot at nl600

i think the major drawback in my game is im naturally very nitty and its holding me back from becoming a better player. with that said, i do think im a very capable learner and have showed consistent, significant improvement throughout my time here at LP (i started at nl2 a little over 2 years ago). i think id benefit a lot learning from someone who i assume plays very differently from me and i think youd find it rewarding teaching someone as open-minded and driven as me.

I teach you the superman. Man is something that should be overcome, what have you done to overcome him?
What is ape to man? A laughing stock or a painful embarrassment, Just so shall man be to the superman, a laughing stock or a painful embarrassment.

What is the greatest thing you can experience? It is the hour of the great contempt, the hour when even your happiness becomes repulsive to you, and you reason and your doing-the-right-thing also.
The hour when you say: "what good is my happiness? It is poverty and dirt and miserable ease. but my happiness should justify my existence?!"
The hour when you say "what good is my reason, does it long for knowledge as the lion its food?It is petty self-delusion"
The hour when you say "what good is my doing the right thing? It has not yet made me passionate! How tired I am of my good and my evil! it is all poverty and dirt and miserable ease"
Have you ever cried thus?

Where is the lightning to lick you with its tounge, where is the frenzy with which you should be cleansed.
Behold: I teach you the superman, He is this lighting, He is this frenzy

You've effectively turned your poker into an average everyday job. If I wanted to have one of those I'd go get some job in marketing. Yeah you don't have a boss, but you no longer set your own schedule, and in a way, you are forced to be your own boss by holding yourself accountable to playing these times.

Me? I take naps all day.

maybe there is a correlation to his discipline and posting here with input to op instead of asking for help

OK, sent PMs. Thanks for the interests. Sorry if I couldn't respond to all of your PMs but I tried my best. I may have came off abit wrong on my post. I'm definitely living my dream at the moment. What I'm doing now is what I dreamed of when I was a teen. Grass is just always greener on the other side and I've been spoiled.
